That Alien Feeling
Chapter 15
There was nothing to eat in the kitchen, so Adam ordered pizza. He hasn't been in the kitchen much since Harry disappeared, preferring to order takeaway and eat it in the living room. The sight of the empty kitchen--the sight of all the unnecessary gadgets that Harry insisted on buying back--made him hurt and angry. So he avoided the kitchen like the plague.
But now Harry is back.
Harry is back.
As they ate pizza, Adam couldn't take his eyes off him.He had to keep reminding himself that Harry wasn't as innocent and sincere as he seemed, and he couldn't just forgive him.But he couldn't look away, he missed Harry so much.
Across the table, their eyes met.Harry smiled at him, cheekbones a little pink.Adam wanted to kiss up, left, right; and lick all the way down, sticking his tongue into Harry's mouth until he was trembling again, making that small noise that was his.
"Wow—this is the best thing I've eaten since I've been here! You didn't mention pizza to me?" Sean finished, took another bite, and moaned appreciatively.
Harry wrinkled his nose. "Because I watch people on TV saying it's junk food."
Adam looked at the two of them, a little confused.Harry had always been blind to many of the most obvious things, and he thought it was just a quirk of his, but it turned out that his friend was just as weird as he was. They were as odd as ever.
Like Harry, Sheen looks like a character who escaped from a Disney fairy tale. His skin was unnaturally white, his long silver hair, and his dark green eyes were so elegant and refined.Hell, he looks like a prince. There's still something... wrong about his looks. Not the hair color; Adam had seen other people bleach their hair strange colors. No, something else.A quality that Harry also had.
"Then how long are you going to stay here?" Adam glanced at Sean.
Sean was in the middle of chewing when he paused at this.He and Harry exchanged a long look that almost looked like they were communicating in ways other than talking. They must be very close.
"It would be great if I could live with you until I find a job." Sean said, taking a sip of tea.
Adam suppressed a sneer. If he refuses, he will become a villain properly. This guy could talk better than Harry.
"You'll share a room with Harry," Adam said. "There's no room left. Unless you're willing to sleep on the couch."
"He can live in my house," said Harry, peeking at Adam from under his eyelashes. "I can sleep with you."
Adam moistened his lips and nodded.
Harry looked down again.
Meanwhile, Sean coughed on the tea, his eyes wide as saucers. "You're going to share a bed with Adam?" He looked at Harry as if Harry had grown another head.
Harry stared at the pizza in his hand like it was the most interesting thing in the world. "I'd rather sleep with Adam than with you. You can't even hug."
Sean glared at Harry with a tinge of humiliation.Normally, Adam would be amused by his appearance, but now he was busy covering up his inner turmoil: Harry was going to sleep in his bed.He couldn't bear the mere thought of it.sleep.Um.
"Okay then." Sean gave Harry a "I'll teach you later" look.
"How long have you known each other?" Adam was helping Harry out: his face was red like it was about to catch fire. How could he be so endearing?God, anyone who looks at that face will immediately lose their temper.
"Almost a lifetime." Sean's voice startled Adam, and he looked away from Harry.
Adam looked to Sean, who was examining him curiously.
Oh yes.He just asked Sean a question.
Adam cleared his throat and asked, "Really?"
"Our parents are old friends, and his brother is my fiancé, so it's kind of hard for us to get together." Sean said, laughing. "Otherwise I wouldn't be friends with such a silly sweetie. I'm surprised he didn't kill himself here by himself."
"I'm so useless," Harry pouted. "Stop exaggerating."
"Wait," Adam said. "Sean is engaged to your brother? You tell me I'm the first gay you've ever met."
Harry's eyes widened. He gave Sean a worried look.
"I'm not gay," Sheehan said. "I'm—I'm—bisexual—"
"Semisexual!" Harry's voice sounded at the same time.
They stared at each other.
Adam smiled. "You should collude with each other."
Harry buried his face in his hands and groaned. "I didn't lie to you," his voice came from the palm of his hand, indistinct. "You're really the first gay I've ever met. Sean's sexuality is...complex." He peeked at Adam through his fingers. "You're mad at me, aren't you?"
He should be angry. But aside from Harry's crappy lies, they didn't seem to be malicious—maybe Adam wasn't very good at reading people.
"Of course I'm angry," Adam said.He was angry, but mostly at himself, angry at himself for being soft on Harry.Harry had been lying to him, so he deserved his anger, but he wasn't really that angry. But that doesn't mean it's okay.Because obviously something happened.A part of him couldn't believe that he was going to forgive Harry so easily. If it were anyone else, he would definitely tell people to fuck off.He wouldn't even let them in.
Harry looked frustrated.
"Damn, for God's sake - he doesn't hate you, Harry!" Sean gasped with exasperation. He stood up. "I don't understand how you can be so stupid around this—people." He pretended to yawn. "I'm tired anyway. Take me to your room?" He gave Harry a suggestive look.
Harry didn't even glance at him, still looking at Adam. "You really don't hate me?"
"Harry," Sean called impatiently.
"Not annoying." Adam said with a sigh. "Go ahead. Take him to your room, baby."
Harry's face lit up. "I'm still your baby?"
Adam remembered Harry's obsession - he must be Adam's only baby, and he didn't know what was going on in his mind.Adam smiled: "As long as you still want to."
In the blink of an eye, Harry jumped from his chair onto Adam's lap. "I think." He whispered in Adam's ear, their bodies huddled close together. "Want to be your baby. Always wanted to."
Adam felt his body tense at the words. He held Harry tighter, licking and sucking the soft skin from the base of Harry's ears, absorbing his scent.Damn, he couldn't be mad at him.
Harry sighed happily. "I miss that so much," he said, sounding sincere. "In your arms. You."
"Yeah." Adam whispered.Stop fucking lying to yourself, he misses him.The smell of Harry, the natural feeling of their hug, the heat of lust and love that surged through him every time they touched: he missed it all.
Harry buried his fingers in Adam's hair, urging Adam's mouth toward his neck, his breathing already short and rapid.Adam's teeth sank into Harry's skin, sucking softly.Panting, Harry tilted his head so Adam could stick up.His fingers ran back and forth on Adam's upper arm, allowing Adam to plant hickeys all over his neck.Harry.His baby, his angel, his pretty boy, the one he loved most of all humans—
Someone gasped.Only then did Adam remember that they still had an audience member.
Adam froze, looking over Harry's shoulder, his lips still pressed against Harry's delicate neck.
Sean stared at them dumbfounded.
"Harry," Sean said. "Talk a few words."
Harry sat on Adam's lap without moving.
"Now," Sean said.
Harry stared at Adam longingly.
"Harry!" Sean gritted his teeth. "I need to talk to you. Immediately."
Sighing, Harry climbed off Adam's lap. "I'll be back soon." His eyes were soft and dull.
Adam nodded, watching them leave the living room together, suppressing his own paranoid impulses: he wanted to get Harry back, never let him out of his sight.
He fell back in his chair, sighing. What madness was he, Harry had just gone to another room.
Adam glanced at his watch. It was nearly midnight, and he had to get up early tomorrow.Take a shower while Harry talks to his friends.
But now Harry is back.
