#61 - Green Goblin Origin
Seeing Peter and the others leave, Norman opened the door, returned to the hospital room, and found Harry already sitting up.
"Was that Peter?" Harry asked.
"Yes, and your other friends. Since you were asleep, I had them go back first." Norman put on a gentle smile again. "How did you wake up? Why don't you sleep a little longer?"
"Peter's voice was too loud, but my head was dizzy, so I didn't wake up right away. I probably had a nightmare."
Harry rubbed his forehead, looking a little listless, probably because he had just woken up.
"Now that you're awake, do you want to have dinner? After all, you've been unconscious all day." Norman asked with concern.
"Of course, Dad, it would be even better if there was more meat." Harry accepted happily. "Honestly, I'm really hungry now."
"I'll have my assistant send some food over." Norman said, making a call to his assistant.
"He'll be here in a little while." Norman hung up the phone and put it away, then looked at Harry hesitantly.
Harry noticed Norman's hesitation and asked, "What's wrong, Dad?"
"It's nothing, it's just that I have some work to do later, so I might not be able to stay with you all the time." Norman looked at Harry apologetically.
"If you don't want to, I can push it..."
"It's okay, Dad, I understand." Harry interrupted Norman. "To be honest, I'm very happy to see you as the first thing I see when I wake up."
"I'm sorry, Harry." Norman apologized again, his eyes full of guilt.
This time Harry didn't speak. Although he said that, he still hoped his father could stay by his side.
Norman saw the disappointment in Harry's eyes, thought for a moment, and had an idea, slapping his thigh and saying.
"How about this, when you and Peter are discharged from the hospital, you guys decide on a day, and I'll go to the amusement park with you."
"Really!" Harry couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"Of course, it's true, I'll definitely make time this time." Norman nodded with a smile. "But you have to remember to invite Peter's parents, it'll be too awkward if I'm the only adult."
"This is great." Harry was so excited that he almost jumped out of bed. Since he could remember, his dad had never taken him to an amusement park. It seems that being hospitalized isn't all bad.
'Could it be that the reason I caused trouble was for this?' Harry couldn't help but think.
"Okay, okay, take good care of yourself." Norman stopped Harry's movements with a smile, and said after looking at his watch.
"Sorry Harry, I have to go, or I'll be late."
"Okay, be careful on the road, Dad." This time Harry didn't have any complaints, but was even more looking forward to the day he was discharged from the hospital.
Norman gave a few more instructions before leaving the ward and heading towards the parking lot.
In a few minutes, he arrived at the hospital parking lot and walked to the pre-arranged parking space.
"Mr. Osborn." The assistant stood by the car and respectfully handed the keys to Norman.
"Take the dinner up to Harry, he must be starving." Norman took the keys, opened the car door and got in.
"By the way, try to satisfy any requests Harry has. Of course, if he doesn't mention it, don't ask."
"Okay, Mr. Osborn." The assistant received the instructions, picked up the takeout box and walked towards the hospital.
Norman closed the car door, took a deep breath looking at the assistant's back, and then drove away from the hospital.
---Separation line---
Norman entered the password, and the laboratory door slowly opened. After he walked in, the lights in the laboratory also turned on.
This was his other laboratory, with more complete equipment than the one at home. After all, many experiments were not suitable to be done at home, but it was still relatively rudimentary compared to the laboratories in his company.
No one knew about this place except Norman. He usually conducted some shady experiments here.
"I didn't expect Peter to be the chosen test subject." Norman seemed to be talking to someone, which looked very strange in this empty laboratory.
"We need him! His blood can help us!" Norman's tone was a little manic.
"But he's Harry's friend, and he saved Harry's life. I can't hurt him." Norman's voice became timid again, as if begging himself.
"Not 'I', but 'we'!" The manic voice emphasized.
"We need him, to make us whole!"
"But..."
"No buts, think about Harry. Do you want Harry to lose us?"
The manic voice gained the upper hand, and the timid voice disappeared. Without any obstacles, Norman came to a machine.
"This matter can't be known to anyone. We must do it ourselves, and we can't reveal our true colors."

"I, I can't do it."
"Then let me do it! For this, I need a brand new face."
After Norman finished speaking, he began to operate.
"This place is too rudimentary, and there aren't many materials to choose from. I can only use basic Kevlar as a makeshift."
After selecting the materials, Norman came to the computer next to him and started designing. In a few minutes, Norman completed the design and entered the data into the adjacent device.
The device started working. It turned out to be a device similar to a 3D printer. It was slowly printing Norman's work.
It took about 15 minutes to print a dark green battle suit, with some armor plates and a helmet placed next to it.
The helmet looked like a monster from a story, looking ferocious and terrifying.
Norman took off his clothes, put on the battle suit, and then assembled the armor plates one by one, protecting his joints.
"This is my face!" Norman held the helmet in both hands and put it on.
"The vision isn't very good, this needs to be improved." Norman shook his head and said in a muffled voice.
"Also, I need some weapons." Norman looked at a corner of the lab, where some of the company inventors' inventions were stored.
But most of them were obsolete products. Although they had some value, they also had flaws. He felt it was a pity to discard them directly, so he put them here, waiting for him to improve them someday.
"I originally thought these were all money-losing goods." Norman walked to the inventions.
"Now it seems they are indeed some money-losing goods. Those idiots only bury you, but today I will give you new life, just like me."
Norman felt his brain was clearer than ever. The pile of scrap metal that he originally couldn't start with now seemed to him like a pile of unmined raw stones.
"At the same time, I also need a new name to prove my rebirth."
"I think..." Norman lowered his head, and the metal invention reflected his current face.
"Green Goblin, is not bad."
