#60 - Harry in doubt
“…”
“Harry… Harry…”
Who is calling me?
In a haze, Harry heard someone calling his name. The voice was familiar, but he couldn't remember who it was for a moment.
Harry felt very drowsy, as if he was drowning. He couldn't find any strength and could only let himself sink continuously.
The voice calling his name was ethereal and blurred, as if it really came from the water.
“Harry, Harry!”
The voice became clearer and clearer, as if it was different from the beginning, probably because it became clearer.
Harry's consciousness flew towards the direction of the sound. He vaguely saw the light and knew he was rushing out of the water.
“Phew!”
As if he was really drowning, Harry opened his eyes and gasped for breath, greedily taking in air.
“Harry?! Are you okay, Harry?”
Harry looked in the direction of the sound and found his father, Norman Osborn, sitting next to him, looking at him with concern.
“Dad?”
Harry looked at Norman in confusion. He looked around and saw a scene that was quite familiar to him, after all, he had just been here not long ago.
“It's me, don't worry, Harry. I'll call the nurse right away. I know a doctor here, I'll go call him now.”
Norman comforted the confused Harry, pressed the call button on the head of the bed, and then walked towards the door.
“What exactly is going on?” Harry covered his head and lay weakly on the bed.
— Line break —
“Harry, are you listening?”
Suddenly called, Harry shivered and quickly replied, “Ah, yes, I'm listening.”
Norman looked at Harry worriedly, and then asked Strange who was beside him.
“Steve, is my son really okay? He has been absent-minded several times.”
“You've asked me several times, Norman.” Strange rubbed his temples.
“According to the test, Harry doesn't have anything abnormal. At most, he's just a little frightened.”
Strange saw Norman's worry and said again, “If you're not at ease, you can let Harry stay in the hospital for observation for a while. Don't worry, although this is not my responsibility, I will take good care of Harry.”
“Then I'll have to trouble you.” Norman said with a sigh of relief.
While the two were talking, Harry, as the protagonist being talked about, didn't focus on them. He was still thinking about what his father had just said.
Norman sent Strange away and returned to Harry's bed, looking at the dazed Harry and asking with concern.
“What's wrong, Harry? Are you feeling uncomfortable?”
“Nothing, Dad.” Harry lowered his head and hesitated before speaking.
“Dad, are you really okay?”
“Me, what could be wrong with me?” Norman was a little puzzled at first, but then he seemed to think of something and comforted Harry.
“Are you afraid that I will scold you for touching my experimental platform without permission, causing an explosion? Although what you did was indeed very stupid, I'm not so cold-blooded as to criticize you when you're sick. Don't worry, just take care of yourself.”
'But this is different from what I remember?' Harry looked at his father's gentle expression and felt fear for the first time.
Yes, Norman's description deviated from Harry's memory. Just now, Harry learned about an accident he had no memory of from the conversation between Norman and Strange.
According to Norman, he was originally experimenting in the laboratory. At this time, Harry came to call him for dinner. He put down his work and enjoyed a hearty dinner with Harry.
Harry ate very quickly, finishing dinner before Norman. He used the excuse of going to the toilet to sneak into his laboratory and added some dangerous things to his experimental product, causing the experimental product to explode.
And Norman rushed back to the laboratory as soon as the explosion occurred, rescued Harry, and sent him to the hospital.
'This is different from my memory.'
Harry was very confused. He clearly remembered that when he and his father were arguing, his father suddenly called him, and then he saw his father rushing towards him, and the green gas behind his father.
“Hiss!” Thinking of this, Harry's head throbbed with pain. He covered his head and couldn't help but gasp.
“What's wrong, Harry?” Norman immediately got up and approached Harry.
“Do you need me to call the doctor again?”
“It's okay, Dad, I may not have rested well.” Harry shook his head and rejected his father's suggestion.
'Could it be that my memory is messed up?'
Harry looked up at his father beside him, which was a little different from what he remembered. If Norman used to be meticulous and dressed elegantly, today he was a little unkempt.
A white coat full of stains, with casual clothes worn inside, didn't look like a successful businessman, but more like a high school chemistry teacher.
However, no matter how you look at it, he doesn't look like he has experienced an explosion.
That's right, if it was really the same as in his memory, as the first person to come into contact with the explosion, there was no reason for his father to wake up before him and stand in front of him, caring about him.
'Maybe I really remembered it wrong.'

Harry accepted the reality, relaxed and lay on the bed, falling asleep in a daze.
Norman sat aside, always watching Harry with concern, until Harry fell asleep.
Hearing the even breathing sound coming from his ear, Norman's expression gradually disappeared.
“Is Harry okay?!”
The door of the ward was suddenly opened. Norman looked back and found that the person who opened the door was Peter wearing a hospital gown, followed by Yang Le and his party.
“Shh.” Norman made a silent gesture, pointed to Harry on the bed, and signaled that Harry was asleep.
Seeing this, Peter immediately swallowed all the words in his stomach and looked at Norman apologetically.
Norman got up, came to everyone, made a gesture, motioned to go out and talk, and then left the ward with everyone.
“Uncle Norman, how is Harry?” Peter couldn't wait to ask as soon as he left the ward.
“Harry is fine.” Norman gently closed the door of the ward. “It's just that he still needs to rest. But you, Peter, I just learned about your hospitalization from Harry. What exactly happened?”
“It's a long story.” Peter got the news that Harry was fine, put his mind at ease, and told Norman about his experience.
“Oh, that's really a misfortune.” Norman's eyes flickered, wondering what he was thinking.
“By the way, Peter, what room are you staying in? I'll come see you when I have time.”
“No need, Uncle Norman, Harry is more important here.” Peter shook his head and wanted to refuse.
“Yes, Mr. Osborn, Harry needs your company very much.” Mary Jane chimed in.
“Just call me Uncle Norman like Peter.” Norman first corrected Mary Jane's address with a smile, and then said.
“If Harry wakes up and knows that I didn't visit his best friend, he will definitely blame me.”
“Okay, Uncle Norman.” Peter compromised and told Norman his ward.
After chatting for a few words, Norman ended the conversation on the grounds of Peter and Harry's condition.
Yang Le and Gwen sent Peter back to the ward, and then left. As for Mary Jane, she chose to stay with Peter for a while longer.
“Habby, did you notice?”
On the way home, Gwen suddenly asked.
“Notice what? What did you sense again?” Yang Le looked at Gwen, thinking that Gwen's spider sense had discovered something.
Gwen shook her head and said, “Not that, did you notice Uncle Norman's expression when Peter opened the door?”
“Wasn't he facing away from us at that time?” Yang Le scratched his head. “No, what's wrong?”
“I saw it through the reflection in the window.” Gwen grabbed one of Yang Le's hands, looking a little uneasy.
“That expression was very indifferent, so cold that it was a little scary, definitely not the expression a father should have when guarding his sick son.”
