[HP] Riddle's Spirit Behind
Chapter 046 Girls
In the afternoon, Eleanor was lying on the table flipping through a novel bored.Avery was sitting opposite her, muttering to the arithmetic and divination class notes spread out in front of him.
The exam was half a month away, and Avery's nervousness seemed to have infected Eleanor. She didn't have the mind to wander around the campus, and began to spend more time reading novels in the library.
Just when Eleanor had just seen the highlights, she suddenly felt someone passing behind her.She looked up to see Tom pulling the chair beside her and sitting down.
Eleanor stared at him unhappily, but the other party leaned back in the chair leisurely, opened a book and began to read.
"Where are your lovely friends?" asked Eleanor sarcastically.
"I've come to see you," said Tom, lifting his eyes from the book.
Eleanor looked at him in surprise, wondering if he had come to reconcile?
"You came at the right time, Tom!" Avery said as if seeing a savior, "Analyzing and divination is about to kill me! Help me figure out how to calculate here—"
Tom took the note from Avery, and at the same time picked up the quill and dipped it in the inkwell. He began to explain to Avery as he scribbled some notes in his notes.
Eleanor stared at his profile, and suddenly realized that he was indeed not bad looking.
He looked much more mature than boys of the same age, and there was no trace of childishness on his face.Whether it's the straight nose bridge, the overly slender eyelashes, or the thin lips with just the right curve, everything is so delicate that you can't bear to look away. Even the hand holding the quill is slender and fair, looking It doesn't look like a boy's hand at all.
Across a long table, Eleanor saw two junior girls looking in Tom's direction, whispering excitedly.
Eleanor suddenly sighed unwillingly.
"Why does he have such a face?" she whispered, "God is really unfair."
"Did you say something?" Tom stopped explaining suddenly, raised his head and frowned at Eleanor.
"Nothing." Eleanor stuck out her tongue. She suddenly remembered what happened last night. She had clearly made up her mind not to talk to this guy again.
She was a little angry with herself, so she said coldly: "Go on, I'm leaving." She closed the book suddenly and was about to leave.
"Wait, Eleanor." Tom put down the quill and called to her.
Eleanor blurted out: "What?"
"Going to Hogsmeade this weekend, what do you think?" He said with a slight smile, looking at Eleanor with dark eyes, "I remember you haven't been to Hogsmeade yet."
Eleanor couldn't help feeling a little itchy, she really hasn't been to Hogsmeade yet. She'd always wanted to go there and see what a wizard's village was like.
"Why did you say this all of a sudden?" She said with a straight face, always feeling that there was a bit of conspiracy in it.
"Nothing, I just wanted to invite you to hang out there." Tom said quietly, "Are you going?"
Avery watched them curiously across the table.
Eleanor hesitated. She stared into Tom's face, wondering what he was planning.Did he really just want to get back together with them? But even in the past, he would not take the initiative to invite anyone to go out with him.
"Hogsmeade Village? I really want to go." Avery who was opposite said suddenly.
But Tom ignored him, and continued to look up at Eleanor.
After thinking about it for a few seconds, she put those messy thoughts behind her.Anyway, it's just going out for a stroll, and there will be no loss of meat, she said to herself.
"Okay, I'll go," she said, "but you mustn't come up with anything."
Tom smiled. "That's a deal."
"But me? I want to go too." Avery continued to spare no effort to attract their attention.
"You can go next weekend," Tom said, turning to him with a smile.
Avery snorted unhappily, lowered his head and wrote a few words heavily in the arithmetic and divination notes.
Tom returned to his usual indifferent expression, "Then see you tomorrow, Eleanor." After he finished speaking, he stood up from his chair and left the library quickly.
"I don't know what he's thinking," muttered Eleanor after Tom had gone.
"He's hooking you!" Avery said angrily. "He's trying to date you!"
"What?" Eleanor opened her eyes wide, and then let out a burst of laughter, "Avery, is your mind confused by arithmetic and divination?"
"You're the one who is confused!" Avery glared at Eleanor. "He doesn't want me to go, he just wants to go out with you alone! Isn't that obvious?"
"No way," said Eleanor firmly. "I'm dead. I can't date anyone. He's not that stupid."
Avery opened his mouth to refute, but was interrupted by Eleanor.
"And, I'm dating him!" Eleanor laughed at her own words, "Hahaha, it's even more incredible than Professor Slughorn dancing the hula! I mean, I'm older than him How old is that, isn't it? And I'm still a ghost! Nobody likes me unless they're out of their minds."
Avery snorted coldly and began to pack up the books on the table.
"Where are you going?" Eleanor watched in surprise as Avery stood up holding the book.
"Go to dinner." He said coldly.
"It's only three o'clock in the afternoon." Eleanor said, looking at the wall clock on the wall.
But Avery was gone.
Eleanor waited early in the common room the next morning. It was 07:30 in the morning, and in the common room only two students could be seen sitting on the sofa chatting. They just glanced at Eleanor and went on chatting about their day. Most of the Slytherin students are very used to Eleanor's presence.
After a while, Tom came out of the boys' dormitory. He turned out to be fully dressed. For some unknown reason, he deliberately wore a brand new dark shirt today, which made his skin paler, but it did not detract from his appearance at all, but made him look more handsome.
"Good morning, Eleanor," he said softly, then strode past Eleanor to adjust his collar in front of the full-length mirror.
For some reason, Eleanor suddenly remembered what Avery said yesterday. She couldn't help feeling a little restless, so she couldn't help but said, "Is it just the two of us going together?"
"Of course not, we'll go with the other students." Tom said without looking back.
Eleanor always felt that he was missing the point.Of course she knew that other students would go with them, but the key question was, did the two of them act alone when they got there?
Eleanor didn't continue to ask, she always felt that asking that would make her look stupid.
After half an hour, Eleanor felt that she was really stupid enough.
"I didn't expect that you really called her here!" Cloris Parkinson stared at Eleanor curiously.
Eleanor frowned, she didn't like being looked at like this.
In addition to Parkinson, there is a girl who is short and has averted eyes. She had been standing behind Parkinson all the time, her eyes kept glancing at Tom, her expression was full of tension.
"By the way, you should have met my cousin. She's in first grade," Parkinson said, and pulled her sister's clothes. "Come here, Saoirse, don't keep hiding behind me!"
Saoirse shook her head, shrinking her neck.
"Come on, we've got a whole day to kill," said Tom, smiling.
Eleanor stared at Tom angrily, expecting him to explain to herself what was going on.
"Duke Bee is here." Parkinson stopped and raised his chin slightly, "I want to buy some candy for Saoirse."
"I'll wait for you here." Tom replied, his tone surprisingly gentle.
"Thank you, Tom." Parkinson finally smiled. "We'll be right back."
Eleanor watched the two girls go into the store, and she had no time to look at the strange candies in the window, but said angrily to Tom, "What do you want?"
"As I said, I just wanted to hang around," said Tom dryly.
Eleanor stared at him for a few seconds, and finally decided not to talk to him.She floated straight into the store through the window, and surprised some of the students.
"...that's a bloody lollipop, Saoirse." She heard Cloris' voice. "That's a bloody lollipop."
Eleanor watched Cloris holding her cousin's hand and patiently picking out candies, and suddenly felt that she might not be a nasty girl. This reminded Eleanor that she hadn't chatted with other girls for a long time.In Little Hangleton she had five very close friends, all girls.
"I recommend this." Eleanor floated over, pointing to the little pepper boy and said, "It looks good."
Cloris probably didn't expect someone to speak to him suddenly. She started, let out an unladylike scream, and cleared her throat to cover it up.She picked up the little pepper urchin and examined it carefully, and said with a cold snort, "That's it."
In the end, Cloris chose a bunch of candies for Saoirse, and many of them listened to Eleanor's advice.Saoirse hugged the bag, her face flushed, and she murmured "thank you" in a low voice.
"Don't thank me," said Cloures dryly to her sister. "You won't thank me until you eat too many sweets and become a fat girl."
"Saoirse won't, she will be a pretty girl when she grows up," said Eleanor kindly. After just a short while, she has fallen in love with this shy little girl.
