Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

Chapter 443: Scarlet Witch and Ventres's confrontation

As the healing ritual progressed, Wanda's eyes flashed a deep red light. She gradually realized that a large amount of information was pouring into Asajj's memory. She seemed to have become an open book, and the ritual forced her to recall those memories that had been forgotten or buried deep in her heart.

Suddenly, Wanda's breathing tightened, and her eyes focused on several scenes in Ventress' memory. It was the scene of her fighting with the Avengers, Captain America, Falcon, Black Widow, War Machine, Ant-Man, Wasp, and some unfamiliar heroes flashed one by one. What worried her most was that a familiar figure, Pietro, was chasing something quickly.

This woman…this woman is the enemy.

Scarlet psychic energy began to emanate from Wanda's arms.

She wanted to attack this woman for what she had done to the Avengers.

"Wanda?" Merlin's voice rang in her ears, and she felt the girl's worry. Looking down, Merlin was looking up at her, his eyes full of concern and worry for her.

Wanda took a deep breath and forced herself to suppress the anger and rage in her heart. She knew that in front of Merlin and Illyana, she had to be their hero and protector.

However, this enemy made her question everything, and she noticed that this enemy was Illyana's cousin, which made her more emotionally entangled.

As the healing ritual concluded, Asajj stood from the slab, her eyes wide as she tried to recall the last memory she had before leaving for this planet.

"Dooku...he betrayed me." Asajj's voice was filled with anger and pain.

Madam Talzin just hummed, "Maybe, maybe not."

"What?" Asajj suddenly shouted. "What do you mean? You saw what happened, didn't you?"

Matron Talzin reached out her hand and tried to comfort her. "No matter what, I hope you can find your way back to us."

“I will have my revenge,” Asajj Ventres vowed.

In the world of the Force, she could feel the pain of her betrayal, that Dooku had allowed her to nearly die, and that she would have been killed by Dooku as well, had it not been for the explosion on the flagship that attempted to kill her, as she returned to the Separatist base to recover.

Madam Talzin tried to calm the angry Ventres, "Under the current situation, you really need to rest."

Ventress stood up from the table and glanced at Matron Talzin. "I can knock Dooku down when he's least prepared."

"Have you forgotten your former companions, those dark acolytes? When you are determined to seek revenge, they may be waiting in the dark, or they may not be. But in any case, you must act with caution."

"Asajj, you need to rest and not act rashly like those naive youngsters."

Asajj Ventress thinks back to the teachings Kai Narek gave her all those years ago, lessons she sadly ignored over the years, especially during the Clone Wars.

Her eyes wandered around the mountain village, and suddenly she spotted something unusual—a female human who was not from Dathomir.

"Who are you...and why are you here?" Ventress asked, looking at Wanda in confusion.

The Dathomir assassin noticed movement behind the woman and saw two children hiding behind her, watching her furtively. Her eyes softened slightly before turning to the auburn-haired woman with glowing red eyes.

"She was a guest and friend of our clan and of all of Dathomir," Matron Talzin stressed. "If it weren't for what Maximov did, our way of life might have changed forever."

"Maximov... this name... sounds familiar." She said hesitantly.

Wanda stared at Ventres and said slowly: "Pietro Maximoff, my twin brother, an Avenger. Like me..."

Asajj Ventres' eyes widened as she finally understood the meaning of the name. More importantly, the person in front of her was... a member of the Avengers.

She reached for her lightsaber, but was pulled by a crimson energy, and the lightsaber was pulled directly into Wanda's hands.

"Give me back my sword," Asajj growled, and the atmosphere suddenly became tense.

"It's not that easy..." Wanda's power exploded, causing the former Sith assassin to recoil in fear.

"The power contained in her body is like a variation of the Force, but it is also different." Asajj tried to remain calm, but when she felt the power emanating from Wanda, her eyes began to turn astonished. She... She is more powerful than Dooku - no, she may even surpass Darth Sidious.

What exactly is this red energy?

Matron Talzin gently placed a hand on Ventres's shoulder, soothing her. "Remember, we owe Wanda more than words of gratitude," she said softly. "She will remain an integral part of our people's hearts wherever she chooses to call home."

"What can she do?" Asajj spat, but her heart couldn't calm down.

Wanda asked coldly: "Didn't you hear? I helped save your clan and the entire planet. This is the power that the Avengers have."

Hearing this, Ventres glared at Wanda fiercely, but Wanda seemed a little unimpressed.

Asajj gradually calmed down from the inner struggle. She recalled the teachings of the Jedi Master and knew that she should let go of the resentment in her heart. She asked Matron Talzin in confusion: "Why can't I take revenge on Dooku?"

Madam Talzin replied softly, "Child, perhaps there are other reasons. There may be a more powerful force that you are not aware of yet, a force beyond your master's control that is forcing him. So don't jump to conclusions before you investigate thoroughly."

"He is not my master," Asajj said firmly.

At this time, Wanda's voice interrupted: "Relax, you are not in the right state. Listen to your master's advice and have a good rest. We will talk about the matter between you and me later."

Wanda's eyes glowed red, and her power seemed to be able to penetrate everything.

Asajj couldn't help but take a step back, full of doubts: "How do you know..."

Wanda replied calmly: "When you are in therapy, your mind is like an open book."

Wanda's words deeply shocked Asajj and the people around her. Wanda's power is not only powerful, but also full of unknown possibilities. And behind all this, it seems that there is a more profound cosmic power hidden.

According to Ventres's understanding of the Avengers, they not only possess the power of the Force, but they themselves are a force that cannot be ignored in the universe. So, what abilities does this Maximoff have?

Out of the corner of her eye, Ventres caught a glimpse of a little girl walking towards her, her expression revealing shyness and full of anticipation.

"Who are you?" she asked in a calm tone.

"I'm Illyana...your cousin." The girl revealed this information in a low voice.

"Cousin?" Asajj couldn't help but stop what she was doing, thinking about this sudden news. For her, this was undoubtedly an unexpected surprise. She had thought that her blood relationship with her family had been severed long ago, but now she had unexpectedly reunited with her.

Before she became a slave, she was used to being abandoned or orphaned.

"Yes, your mother and my mother--"

"I understand." Ventres interrupted the little girl before she could finish.

Iliana's expression fell, and Wanda cleared her throat and gave Ventres a warning look.

Asajj just turned back and glared at Wanda.

"I want my lightsaber back," she muttered.

Wanda retorted, "I will, once you calm down. And apologize to your family."

Although Asajj Ventress wanted to offer a pointed rebuttal to the Avengers, she knew she wouldn't get anything of substance out of it, so she swallowed her pride and turned to her cousin, who was staring at her with watery eyes and mixed feelings.

"Oh, use this child to force me to give up my revenge on Dooku." Ventress thought bitterly.

Wanda spoke up, "Yes, you're right. Children can sway almost anyone's heart."

Wanda's words startled Asajj, "Could...she...?"

"Yes, I can read minds," Wanda snapped impatiently.

Asajj felt somewhat powerless at the moment, because she now realized that every one of her actions and words could be seen by the other party. "Please stop your mind reading." She whispered angrily.

"If you stop being rude, I'll consider stopping." Wanda replied, pointing to Elena, who was still quiet but looked sad. The meaning was self-evident.

Asajj's eyebrows inadvertently raised in Wanda's direction, and finally, she spoke with difficulty: "I'm sorry, cousin..."

Almost instantly, a bright smile broke out on Elena's face.

"It's okay, Asajj. I know it's not easy sometimes."

Ventres was touched by her words, and her heart rippled. When her eyes fell on her cousin again, she was stunned.

"You...why?" she asked puzzledly.

Asajj felt an inexplicable emotion in her heart, as if something was gently touching her heart. "Ah~ This feeling is so rare." She whispered to herself.

However, the next moment, the atmosphere suddenly became tense. "I will kill you, Maximov," she said coldly.

"Come on, you wouldn't really do that," Scarlet Witch responded, handing a lightsaber back to Asajj.

"I have two lightsabers."

"Oh, the other one will return to you, but not now." Wanda said firmly, the second lightsaber in her hand flashing in the sun. "When you are truly worthy of it."

Wanda gestured, and Iliana and Merlin followed closely behind, waving goodbye to Ventres.

She glanced at the two little people behind Wanda and couldn't help wondering. "Why are they following her?" she asked.

"Because she is their guardian," Madam Talzin replied. "They have fallen deeply in love with her."

"And their mother?" Ventres asked, her expression softening. "My... mother..."

"I'm sorry to say that they are both gone. I will miss them," said Matron T. Talzin, placing her hand gently on Asajj's back. "But what matters now is that you are back where you belong."

The words echoed in Ventres' mind. "Where do I belong?" she asked herself silently. She no longer had any faith in her heart, only confusion and uncertainty...
