Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy
Chapter 444: Tit for Tat 1
In Count Dooku's private chambers, he was lost in deep thought, as if the whole world was weighing on his mind. He had been alone in this state for nearly three days.
The aftermath of the Battle of Sulust reverberated in his mind, and he tried to find some answers through the Force. As the sun of Serenno slowly set, Darth Tyrannus' eyes suddenly opened, and a self-deprecating smile appeared at the corners of his mouth. "Found it, my apprentice."
……
For Asajj Ventress, this moment of peace is a rare luxury. Considered dead by the rest of the galaxy, she has been freed from the clutches of the Separatist Alliance.
Now, all she can do is relax and maybe start a normal life.
Under Dooku's rule, the line between training and not training had become blurred, but she knew she couldn't let her skills rust over the years.
However, at this moment, she was experiencing a strange vacation. There was no smoke of war, no sweat of training... This feeling was so strange to her.
Her life had been one life-or-death struggle after another, and the stillness of the moment was almost unbelievable. The long hours had left her with little respite, but now she was choosing to focus on the simpler aspects of life rather than dwelling on the endless angst.
After a long rest, she began to adjust to her duties as a member of the clan. During this time, she began to ask about her mother. She could barely remember the most basic memory of her mother, only a fleeting impression - her mother's infinitely loving smile, and then replaced by the slave master's hand.
She was filled with questions: Why? Why was she abandoned and not someone else?
What was that power that protected her, and how did her Nightsisters protect her from harm, only to have her ultimately taken away from the clan?
However, no one could give her an answer. This helplessness and confusion made her feel frustrated.
This rare vacation may be the beginning of her rediscovering herself and re-examining her life...
Asajj Ventres had fallen from her former glory to a "recovered" identity, and at first she scoffed at it. However, June's words pierced her heart like a sharp knife, forcing her to kneel down. This was not a simple blow, but more like a deep touch, which made her physically and mentally exhausted. She needed to rest, so she chose to stop with an irritable mood.
She had to do this, because it was the only way she could get her other lightsaber back from the Scarlet Witch. Every time she thought of that woman, she felt a rage burning inside her. Although she might not have set foot on Dathomir in years, it was still her home planet, her safe haven.
So why does this outsider get such protection and privileges here?
This question rippled in her mind. Suddenly, a burst of screams and laughter caught Ventres' attention. The Sith assassin turned his head, frowning.
She stared at Wanda Maximoff with suspicion. For Wanda seemed to be teaching two young Nightsisters something. Ventress watched intently, recognizing many of the old lessons she had experienced in her youth. She was surprised to find that this Avenger was teaching the use of the Force in a unique way.
However, this ability is unlike any Force user she has ever encountered. Despite this, it is a trait shared with both the enhanced humans of Earth and Ultron.
The Force has always exuded an aura of invincibility for thousands of years. But now, facing the impact of these enhanced humans and Ultron, Ventress can't help but feel his own inadequacy.
It was really too much, and every time she fought against the Avengers, she suffered heavy losses.
Now, when she faced the Avenger who stayed on Dathomir, she did not choose to fight each other. Instead, the atmosphere between them was more like a contest of mutual respect.
Ventres understood that this delicate balance required great wisdom and strength to maintain, and the two of them were working together to maintain this balance in a unique way.
But Ventres knew that it was only a matter of time before the conflict was resolved.
The Scarlet Witch, including the entire Avengers, is her nemesis, not just for revenge, but also vowed to kill her. Her existence makes her extremely uneasy on many levels.
"Are you going to keep staring at me like this?" Wanda suddenly interrupted loudly, breaking Ventres's thoughts.
Asajj noticed Wanda's gaze turned to her, with a hint of displeasure in her eyes. Merlin and Elena looked back and forth between Wanda and Ventres with eyes full of curiosity and a little nervousness.
Asajj did not directly answer Wanda's question, but raised her own question: "Why did Madam Talzin allow you to teach these two people?"
Wanda answered simply and succinctly: "Because I have the privilege."
Wanda gently stroked the tops of the two girls' heads, and they smiled at their guardians.
"Are you teaching them the ways of the Force?" Asajj questioned.
Wanda replied, "And my own powers. They can use the resources of the Nightsisters to create unique forms of power, different from the Force, but powerful enough to make them unique."
Asajj scoffed, "Do you know what you are doing? The Force cannot be taught by just anyone."
"At least I know better than you," Wanda shot back, unimpressed by Ventress's attempt to provoke her.
Asajj couldn't help but question: "Now?"
Wanda answered firmly, "Yes."
Ventres frowned and continued, "You may not know that my clan is one of the few clans in the world that follows the ways of the dark side."
Wanda frowned and said, "In the dark realm, they can use power more freely, which is different from many other practices. But they are prone to get lost in this power and lose themselves."
Ventres stared at Wanda and asked seriously, "How are you going to solve this problem?"
Wanda explained: "I am always watching them. Because I am by their side. They are my daughters. I have made a promise to their mother and aunt to keep them safe, and I will do so to the end."
Asajj Ventress wanted to say something rude and dismissive, but she was suppressed by the strong momentum of the Avenger. She was full of doubts, unable to understand how a power like Wanda came from and what her motivation was.
It seemed that the long silence made Wanda lose her patience in talking, and when Ventres reacted, Wanda had gone back to teach Merlin and Elena.
Asajj's attention was diverted, and she quickly searched for the second lightsaber. Soon, she found the familiar curved hilt, and she noticed that there was a double-bladed lightsaber connected to her other sword.
At first, it looked like any other lightsaber, but everything changed when she noticed the words on the hilt. Not only were the words written on the lightsaber, but they also radiated a familiar energy from the people of Dathomir. Asajj was drawn to this power, and she didn't know why she felt this way.
Staring at the lightsaber, she suddenly realized that it was a Sith weapon. Not because of its special power, but because of its appearance. The long handle was engraved with Sith words, which made her very curious about the words on it. Looking closely, her gray eyes gradually enlarged and recognized the handwriting on it. Combined with the knowledge she learned about weapons in Dooku's class, she understood more details about this weapon.
