"So let me get this straight. When you were younger, you and this Duchess traveled together during their Mandalorian Civil War or something, yes?

"Mandalorian Civil War, yes."

“During that time, you both fell in love, right?

Obi-Wan Kenobi, Grand Master of the Jedi Order and member of the Jedi Council, sighed, expressing how "invested" he was in this conversation.

"Don't forget you obviously lost her, giving her a second scar."

Kenobi simply gave his former Padawan a suspicious look, looking away from Anakin, who was barely able to control his laughter.

"I'm really beginning to regret telling you about my youth with Qui-Gon and Satine," Kenobi said with a look of regret.

"Hey, come on, Obi-Wan." The Wasp said with a smile, putting her arm around his shoulders. "Despite these circumstances, you should always be grateful to see that Satine still likes you. We know she will always be happy to see you."

"Didn't she kiss you on Coruscant, or is Padmé lying to me?" Ant-Man questioned, making Anakin almost choke with laughter.

"Wait, what?!" Anakin's eyes flashed with a manic gleam. "I don't know!"

Obi-Wan now stared at the ceiling with half-lidded eyes, wishing the Force would stop this torture. Or better yet, just let him die and save himself the embarrassment.

He didn't need the Force to tell him that this might not be over any time soon.

"It's not that it wasn't easy for us to figure out that you were related to her, Obi-Wan," the Wasp soothed.

"Anakin mentioned your 'beard' which hides your handsome face. Ant-Man continued, grinning.

Behind him stood Commander Cody and Captain Rex, both trying not to laugh.

They were professional soldiers through and through, but to see the usually cool, calm, and controlled General Kenobi in a state like this, well… words couldn't describe the scene so clearly.

Normally, they were very focused on the mission at hand, which was their deployment to Mandalore.

But with the war escalating, Ultron showing up, and god knows what's going to happen, maybe there needs to be some levity and mischief amidst all this madness.

"So~~~ on Earth, this is what we call star lovers, or in this case, the most realistic representation." The Wasp said with a false sigh. "Oh, Scott--"

She fell into his arms and Ant-Man caught her easily.

The Wasp lifted her legs and placed the back of her hand on her forehead in a dramatic manner.

"What are we supposed to do for these two people who should never have been apart?" she asked operatically, and Ant-Man put her down as he looked up at the ceiling in the same way.

"I don't know, my dear Hope, but what I do know is that love will prevail. Perhaps Obi-Wan could shave so that when Satine kisses him again, he won't be so itchy.

Obi-Wan felt like he was going crazy.

Anakin grinned and nudged Rex, who couldn't hold it in any longer, and laughed.

Cody couldn't help himself and let out a few chuckles as he continued to tease the serious Jedi Knight mercilessly, who was seriously considering going to Mandalore.

"How do you think he should greet her?" Ant-Man mused. "Flowers? Candy?

"No, too cheesy and lacking in surprise." The Wasp rubbed her chin, thinking. "Poetry? That usually helps.

"And yet, I haven't done anything like this since we've been together."

"Probably because you never bothered."

“…Should I do this?

The Wasp's expression was the answer he needed.

"Scott—"

"It was to help you with your mission long ago, right?" Wasp interrupted Falcon before he could continue. "So this time, you're going to be the man that Satine leans on when she needs you. This isn't about the Jedi Code and Mandalorian culture, Kenobi. This is about holding your head high and being a man for your woman."

"She's not my woman," Obi-Wan muttered, his brow twitching.

"That's not the attitude," the Wasp scolded.

Kenobi is a man of great patience and endurance. This is even reflected in the form he uses when wielding his lightsaber.

But these two were determined to break him.

They continued to chatter with the Jedi, trying their best not to be affected by their comments.

"I'm not one to say I hate something or someone. Obi-Wan said.

Anakin patted his shoulder heartily. "And you don't, as you know, 'hatred leads to the dark side,' remember?"

"I'm sure this will disappoint the Duchess of Sardinia." Rex spoke up. "Your Excellency, General."

"Don't worry, Rex," Cody assured him. "If there's anyone least likely to fall to the dark side in the name of his love, it's our General Kenobi."

"Rex...Cody...why...?"

While this group is having a joke at the expense of a Jedi, another group of Force users and the Avengers are having... less of an easy time, so to speak.

"So this Mandalore was bombed by the Republic?" Black Panther asked with a frown in disapproval.

"One of our greatest mistakes," Luminara Unduli said without hesitation.

"From what I understand," Daredevil dragged his hand over the braille translation of the events they were referring to. "I have read this before, but I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. The Republic believes that with the resurgence of the Mandalorian people, they fear that if these people organize and unite under one banner, war will once again descend upon the galaxy.

"Yes," Barris replied softly.

"But the Republic attacked them without any evidence?" Spider-Man asked with obvious anger at the action.

"The Mandalorians once brought the galaxy to its knees during the Mandalorian Wars," Ahsoka said.

"More than 4000 years ago," Black Panther chided. "You can't really believe that the sins of the past have followed us to this day."

“It was a lapse of judgement, a grave lapse. It was a lapse of judgement, a grave lapse,” Luminara admitted. “In retrospect, it only led to more volatile conflict and death and division.”

“The people of this planet are rejecting the occupation that Captain Rogers and Colonel Rhodes are talking about,” Black Panther reminded her.

The group fell into silence for a moment, an uncomfortable silence.

Daredevil cleared his throat and continued. "Let's review the purpose of our trip, shall we?"

Spider-Man nodded in agreement, propping himself up against the wall.

"Tap and Karen can build their defense network around Mandalore so that Ultron won't have any way to get in." Spider-Man said, patting the spider emblem on his chest.

"Investigate the status of the Republic occupation," Barris continued.

"Attend the upcoming Mandalorian faction meeting, which Sardin has carefully planned just in case," Luminara said.

"Investigate any other issues that may arise while we're here." Ahsoka finished, then looked down. "I'm still not sure why the Duchess of Sardin invited other Mandalorian factions to Mandalore. The Protectors are…well, they haven't made any assassination attempts on the Duchess that I know of. But the Death Watch? Haven't they tried to kill her several times already? Why them?"

“Desperate times,” Black Panther said, crossing his arms in thought. “She wanted to reach out to everyone there, to create a united front to protect their people.

"But is it wise to trust extremists like the Death Watch?" Barris asked, clearly unsure of such an action. "Satine is taking a huge gamble with what she's inviting them to do."

"That may well be the case, but at the very least, if some sort of agreement is reached, the two known Mandalorian factions could provide a united front for their people," Daredevil pointed out firmly. "It might not even require a Republic takeover."

“That will be decided by the Senate,” Luminara reminded him. “But… it may well happen. Mandalore and its systems remain officially neutral. As the war escalates, the Republic will be more interested in focusing our forces more in areas allied to the Republic.”

"Leaving Mandalore defenseless doesn't sound good then," Ahsoka muttered.

"If this Mandalorian meeting goes well, the planet will not be left defenseless." Daredevil said, his hand still trailing over the braille. "All Sardin needs to do is convince the Protectors and Death Watch to comply, or at least come to an agreement of protective solidarity until the storm of war passes."

"I do not believe any of these independent factions will obey the Duchess," said Barris in an uncertain tone.

“At the very least, they should try to compromise. Black Panther argued. “This is a matter of survival. The entire galaxy is at stake. If they can show solidarity despite what’s going on, it could be the message and visual that the rest of the galaxy needs in these trying times.”

“We can only hope for the best.”

"Fingers crossed," Spider-Man said, raising one hand, interlacing his index and middle fingers together, and tapping the metal wall where he sat.

"Why are you knocking on this?" Ahsoka asked.

Spider-Man shrugged. "We usually knock on wood for luck, but we don't have...metal.

Barriss and Ahsoka just stared at their friend in confusion while Daredevil said "hmm" and gave a little smirk.

"Attention, everyone." The clone pilot said something over the communication. "We are now exiting hyperspace over Mandalore. All parties headed to the hangar bay to prepare for departure.

"That, I believe, is our cue," Black Panther said, his panther suit habit forming around his body except for his head, while the others around him nodded.

Avengers, Jedi, and Clones from three different Corps soon gathered in the hangar bay of the Negotiator, the ship leading this mission.

Everyone boarded the LAAT gunships, and the small fleet left hyperspace not far from the planet Mandalore.

The gunship flew out of the hangar, past some Venator-class Star Destroyers, the planet's occupation fleet, and through the atmosphere.

A large group of distinguished individuals soon arrived at one of the many ports of call on the capital city of Mandalore.
