Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

Chapter 425 The Duchess's Invitation

The weeks of peace since Bo-Katan's return were like the calm before the storm. Her days were filled with training, recruiting, and the requisite eating, sleeping, and showering, day after day.

They perform tasks like machines, earning credits to fund their organizations.

Due to the chaos of the past few weeks, the missions they can get are both difficult and not that difficult. Although the war has increased their chances of getting missions, the suitable missions have become fewer. Moreover, many opportunities have been snatched away by their mortal enemies, the Protectors, which is tantamount to adding fuel to the fire. Even more frustrating is that their allies, the Marauders, have gradually gained considerable influence and resources, becoming their new rivals.

As a result, they have been forced to turn to lower, more degrading jobs that few people are willing to take. Although these jobs pay well, they are...

After assassinating a governor who simply wanted to refuse the Pike Syndicate's spice, Bo-Katan was consumed by guilt. She felt an indescribable sickness while carrying out these missions, especially when she thought back to her time with Daredevil and Keith Woj.

In a desperate situation, they have to resort to desperate measures because they need to stay alive.

However, these missions began to haunt her like nightmares, and she became particularly angry when she thought of the questioning and disapproving looks that Daredevil and Case would give her.

One of the topics they discussed earlier was her loyalty and allegiance to the Death Watch. Faced with this distressing dilemma, Bo-Katan began a spontaneous "research". This was little more than a means of distracting herself or trying to resolve her inner troubles.

So, one might ask, what is she researching?

Ever since her conversation with the lawyer-avenger in prison, a burden has been weighing on her heart, sinking into her mind, refusing to let up. This burden is about what she doesn't understand about her own organization, Death Watch, in other words, whether she really understands Death Watch. She tried to find the answer and her own direction. However, as she continued to "research", the answer seemed to become more and more elusive, and she became more and more confused.

In this inner torment, Bo-Katan feels like she is about to explode, and she must find her own way out. Her every step is full of confusion and struggle, but she is still moving forward, looking for the possible light.

Now, she has a completely new understanding of the Death Watch. Not all groups that pursue greater interests in the name of "goodwill" are pure and spotless. There are still people with filthy hearts, pursuing their own selfish interests, and even seeking injustice for others. Even if there is no haze at this moment, there may be no haze in the future.

Loyalty and betrayal, like the hourglass of time, will change or solidify with the passage of years, and when people are least prepared, confusion will quietly breed. This concept is something that no one can easily forgive or get rid of, no matter how high or low their status is, from those who live in the dust to those who lead the crowd, it seems that no one is immune.

While she was still pondering, two members of her "Night Owls" visited her residence.

"Koska, Axe? What's wrong?" She asked her two lieutenants. "You look tired."

Koska Reeves panted slightly, with his hands on his knees. "We...we ran all the way here...haha, we finally made it."

Bo-Katan raised an eyebrow slightly. She was keenly aware of the unusual atmosphere. "You know we have jet packs, right?"

"Shh - shut up." Koska shouted angrily, causing their leader to laugh.

"So, what's going on?" Bo-Katan asked in confusion. "You seem crazy to rush here."

"Did you hear that, Bo?" Koska's voice was filled with obvious shock.

"What did you hear? I've been very busy lately."

"Vizla recently received a message. The one who invited us to Mandalore was none other than Satine Kreze." Ax Wolfs said with a puzzled expression.

Bo-Katan's eyes widened, as if she was hit by sudden information. She needed time to digest it all. "... Sorry, you just said... Kryze? I..." Bo-Katan stuttered and repeated, "Can you say it again?"

“You heard me, Beau,” Koska said emphatically. “We have been invited to Mandalore to speak with the Duchess.”

"Satin Kreiz," Axe corrected impatiently, "This could be a trap."

However, Bo-Katan's attention was not attracted by the argument between the two. In her heart, all the voices seemed to be silent. Her sister had sought help from the "Death Watch" organization, which had a close connection with the New Mandalorians led by her sister.

Satine Kryze is eager for them to return to Mandalore, but what is the motivation behind this?

Mandalore has been occupied by the Republic, and the Death Watch is obviously not friendly to the Republic. If they try to go to Mandalore, they may be arrested or attacked in the air.

"Who will Vizsla decide to go with him? Or who will go in his place?" Bo-Katan asked.

She knew their leaders had to approach the upcoming meeting with caution. If this was a trap, any rash action could put their Death Watch in danger and severely weaken the organization.

What if that wasn't the case, or someone was willing to take the risk? Bo-Katan was convinced that Vizsla would let someone else represent them all.

"He said he wasn't going," Axe replied briefly. "He told us that none of us should accept the invitation of that traitorous woman."

"Bo, what do you think?" Kosha asked.

This got Bo-Katan thinking. What did she think of all this? Was this really a trap?

She shook her head, her eyes burning with hatred for violence. Her sister - a woman who hated violence so much - would set a trap? That was impossible.

But whatever her sister's motives, this must be something extremely important. She would not take such a risk for no reason.

Although Bo-Katan is not good at expressing emotions, Satine is her sister after all. They are still family, and despite the huge difference in ideology with the way of the New Mandalorians, she still loves and cares for her sister.

During this difficult time, it seems that all Mandalorians have learned to put aside their differences and are willing to work together for the greater good of all Mandalorians.

If her sister is willing to take such a step, Bo-Katan won't be able to bear the thought of being the cowardly sibling who refuses to do the same.

"Let the Night Owls prepare for action, we are going to Mandalore." Bo-Katan announced decisively.

This wiped out the relaxed expressions on Koska and Axe's faces. The two stared at their leader and asked seriously, "Are we really going to Mandalore?"

Bo-Katan nodded solemnly.

Her two lieutenants stared in amazement as their leader passed by, saying nothing.

They exchanged a look and then hurried after Bo-Katan, unsure whether to do so but still choosing to follow their leader resolutely.

Loyalty and faith drove them to follow Bo-Katan, even if they were not entirely sure it was the right thing to do. But they knew they respected and trusted their leader, believing her decisions would lead to the best results, and they believed that all of their sisters felt the same way.
