HP Shavings Wizard
Chapter 9 Night Chapter
After so much that day, Alison was still full of energy. She read almost all the journals and it was late at night.
After Grindelwald finished dealing with the matters related to his followers, he thought of the eleven-year-old child he had just brought home. Although he felt that Alison was too precocious to worry about these life issues, he still went upstairs to take a look.
On the third floor, the light of a magic candle shone through the doorway of Alison's bedroom.
Grindelwald knocked on the door gently and asked, "Little bastard, are you asleep?"
Alison responded with a loud and lively "No!"
The bedroom door was pushed open, Grindelwald walked into the room, and saw Alison curled up on the soft sofa. There was a pile of journals and magazines on the table, and she was holding one in her hand, reading it with great interest.
Grindelwald's gaze paused slightly on the stack of old journals. He walked closer and picked up a journal and flipped through it. "This is almost a hundred years old."
A large part of the value of such a journal lies in its latest discoveries and research. A hundred years is enough time for a lot of knowledge to become common knowledge in Transfiguration.
Alison smiled and pushed the page with the magical photo of Dumbledore, the author of the paper, in front of him: "Who took the trouble to buy these British journals? Was it because he wanted to study Transfiguration seriously? Or..."
She stopped talking midway, her tone rising meaningfully and with a teasing tone.
Grindelwald lowered his eyes and saw Dumbledore's young and handsome face in the photo. His eyes dimmed slightly, and then he looked away as if nothing had happened. He commented on Alison's behavior: "Boring."
Alison snorted, but didn't continue teasing him, just looked at him. Because he was going to meet his followers, Dad changed into an ordinary robe and simply dressed up. After the old man was dressed up, coupled with his unique frivolous temperament, he was even more attractive.
Grindelwald ignored the scrutiny that was very common to him. He just sat casually on the sofa and flipped through a journal.
Alison thought of something and chuckled again, deliberately teasing Grindelwald beside her: "How am I going to introduce my father's identity to my classmates in the future?"
After all, she wanted to disguise her identity, so it would be bad for her to just say that her father was the Dark Lord.
But then again, regardless of whether he was disguising his identity or not, it would be quite outrageous to directly tell his classmates that his father was the Dark Lord...
One can already imagine the dull and confused expressions of the little animals, and the shrill screams and sharp explosions that follow.
Grindelwald raised his eyebrows, not caring about such trivial matters: "As you wish."
Alison fell on the sofa with laughter, her face full of joy and wildness of a successful prank, and her true intention was revealed: "Okay, I said you are an idol... In a sense, it's quite true, you have so many crazy fans~"
Grindelwald closed the journal in his hand and put it on the table. He looked at Alison and did not show the shy and angry reaction that Alison wanted to see. Instead, he curled his lips and said, "As my daughter, you have to fulfill your duties."
Alison blinked her eyes and tilted her head in confusion:?
What responsibilities does she have to fulfill? Isn't it okay for a child who only wants to rely on his parents to play?
Grindelwald turned his head to look at her and slowly reminded her: "... Let your dear father get his beautiful wife as soon as possible."
Alison paused for a moment, then casually performed a Transfiguration on the pillow, turning it into a Q version of Dumbledore, and casually handed it to him.
"I'll satisfy you right away."
The Q version of the old principal with white beard is wearing a purple robe and a nightcap, smiling with his eyes squinting and holding a magic wand ready to cast a spell. He is very cute.
Grindelwald was silent for a moment, looking at the pillow, not knowing what to say for a moment.
Alison had an innocent expression and introduced the pillow seriously: "It's a beauty, and a beauty that you can hug at any time."
Grindelwald said expressionlessly: ...
"You know that's not what I meant."
Alison smiled slyly, her expression determined: "Just tell me whether you want it or not?"
Grindelwald stared at the pillow for a few seconds, then reached out to take it and held it in his arms.
"I'll try to get rid of the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor as early as next year, and let you take over at Hogwarts and become a colleague of Albus's father?" Alison said to comfort him casually.
Grindelwald doubted her confidence: "How can you be so confident that Albus will agree to let me teach at Hogwarts?"
Alison looked lazy, spoke softly and smiled, and nonchalantly explained her plan to him.
"It is said that the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor position at Hogwarts is cursed by Voldemort. Something goes wrong every year, and professors become consumables. This position is so notorious that few brave men dare to apply for it. If the new professor is scrapped soon after the start of the school year, Albus may not be able to find a sucker to take over."
"Even if it's only half a semester short, he can still let his subordinates take over. But with this kind of teaching that's almost a whole year, he can't afford to let his subordinates waste time unnecessarily. As for you, you shouldn't be so bad that you can't break the curse of that junior, right?"
Grindelwald narrowed his eyes slightly and seemed to be very interested.
Alison lowered her eyes, hiding the calculation in them. "Of course, the premise is that I have worked hard this year to make him realize that there is a hidden threat in the school. I am related to the Saints, but he cannot figure out my specific purpose. Then, compared to me, who is an uncertain factor, it is naturally easier for you, his old rival and the leader of the Saints, to figure out your purpose."
Grindelwald stared at Alison and suddenly laughed, very happy: "...It seems that you have already thought of how to deal with him."
Alison looked at the photo in the journal with a dark look.
The red-haired young man who looked similar to her tilted his head slightly in the magic photo, as if an acquaintance passed by and greeted him while he was taking the photo. The fleeting smile did not fade even now, it was fresh and proud.
"He is a very simple person. When people have goals, things are very simple, especially for smart people like you. All calculations and actions are working towards the ultimate goal."
Grindelwald raised an eyebrow, seemingly not expecting Alison to comment on them in that way.
"He may want to keep a close eye on you, a dangerous source who may cause trouble outside after escaping from prison, but he has to protect the students. Your record of bewitching people back then does not need my praise." Alison analyzed slowly.
"When he didn't know your purpose, he had to be on guard. But when he made it clear through me that our goal was not to deceive, and that there were already saints with unknown purposes infiltrating the school, and with those encouragements, it was only natural for him to agree to your job application."
Alison raised her eyes, her expression calm and confident, and tapped the sofa lightly with her slender index finger.
"If you want to cooperate, don't continue to gather believers. Try to get some orders from outside that he can't figure out the purpose: study the current Muggles, or something else. His vigilant heart will naturally put pressure on himself and make him approach you."
