"Finally it's quiet." Prince Wang Qianghao rubbed his forehead and sighed. His parents turned to him with the same discontented frown, but he smiled to show that he meant no harm. He was just trying to ease the dull atmosphere.

"Oh, look, the finals are underway, dear mother, who do you think will win?" Wang Qianghao's smile turned into a grin, just for the queen.

The queen's tense shoulders relaxed. Her sour expression improved. "I think the Ninghou's daughter has a better chance of winning. When the daughter of Prince Li Chenyang was sparring, she was resting."

"Yes, yes, yes." Wang Qianghao nodded thoughtfully and turned to Commander Wen Jinkai. "Jinjin, what do you think?"

Wen Jinkai looked at the prince with disgust, then turned his attention back to the final round that had just begun.

“Oh, is my nickname bothering you? It’s okay…” Wang Qianghao’s voice gradually faded as the air around him became thinner. “Hehe, it’s better not to tease the dragon,” he laughed easily.

Li Daojun quietly pondered what had just happened. His eyes narrowed in dissatisfaction. The commander was enraged at the mention of women. This was sad because his behavior was not at all what his cruel teachings taught him.

"Ouch." When Xueyue's foot stepped on Ning Huabing's side, the queen whispered.

Ning Huabing bent down in surprise, and when she saw Xueyue didn't give her time to recover, she widened her eyes. Then, she kicked her in the head again, knocking her to the ground. Because Xueyue raised her left leg, she stood up by mistake.

Ning Huabing sneered, preparing to block the premeditated move, but was caught off guard. Xueyue raised her left leg, but used it as a lever to launch her right leg out.

Ning Huabing's life flashed before her eyes as the kick hit her right in the jaw. Instantly, she fell to the floor again, gasping for air. Stars dotted her vision, but victory was too sweet. She wanted it more than anything.

"Get down." Li Xueyue whispered. "You can't fight in this situation."

"No, I can still fight..." Ning Huabing groaned and struggled to stand up. "It would be too embarrassing if I lost to you before the third round."

"I held you back." Seeing Ning Huabing standing up, Li Xueyue said softly. "Now, I am forced."

"You talk too much nonsense." Ning Huabing roared, punching Xueyue in the stomach. "If you wrinkle again, Bai Tian Ai is watching." As she said that, she stepped directly on Xueyue's lower abdomen.

Li Xueyue gnashed her teeth, furious. She didn’t have to pretend to button or frown. An ugly bruise had already been left on Han Jieru’s stomach, and Ning Huabing punched her in the same place.

Ning Huabing apologized softly, "I'm sorry, but I have to fight well, otherwise Bai Tian Ai will doubt me. She knows I fight well."

"That makes sense." Li Xueyue thought about it and adjusted her position. "But you wasted a good opportunity to knock me down completely."

Ning Huabing had no time to react. The next second, Xueyue's entire body twisted into a thunderous side kick. She put all her weight into this final blow. In an instant, Ning Huabing lost her balance and swayed slightly, and Xueyue swayed again. This time, she had the upper hand. She grabbed Xueyue's ankle and pulled her to the ground, shocking both of them.

Ning Huabing whispered, "I'm sorry." He raised his fist and smashed it hard. Xueyue opened her eyes wide in shock.

However, just when Ning Huabing's fist was only a hair away from Xueyue's face, drums sounded in the distance, and the game was over.

Ning Huabing forced herself to stop. She could have easily ruined Xueyue's perfect facial features, but she didn't. Bai Tianai also saw this. In an instant, she rolled off Xueyue and struggled to stand up.

Xueyue felt her chest heaving with adrenaline. She felt a knot in her stomach as she tried to stand up. She couldn't. Everything was incredibly painful. She swallowed hard and tried to push herself up with her hands. Her arms shook from the attempt, the pain of fending off so many punches and kicks finally giving way. Eventually, she collapsed to the ground, her eyes struggling to focus.

"It's better to lie down." Ning Huabing finally stood up and whispered. She looked down at Xueyue and waited for the eunuch to come forward. He rushed towards them, ready to announce the winner.

It was clear who had the most points, but the real question was, could the winner stand up? She couldn't.

Before long, darkness completely enveloped Xueyue's vision, and she went dark without any warning.

Ning Huabing suppressed her surprise. Her hands began to tremble as she realized she had won. She was the winner. She turned her head sharply to look in Bai Tianai's direction.

Bai Tianai nodded in agreement and turned her face away. She turned her attention to her brother, a little over two years old. He was in need of help, and she hated everything about it. Because of his damned birth and gender, her inheritance was robbed.

"Miss Li, can you stand?" A eunuch asked Li Xueyue sternly with his eyes closed. "Count to three. If you can't stand, the victory will be handed over to Ning Huabing."

"Get out of my way," a rude voice barked from behind them.

Ning Huabing's entire face turned pale when she saw the man coming. She flinched when he rushed past her and pushed the eunuch aside.

"Commander," was all she could say.

Wen Jinkai quickly bent down and carefully picked up Xueyue. His face was surprisingly calm, but his eyes were full of rage and thunder. His glare was extremely vicious, and anyone who dared to look directly into his eyes would be terrified.

Ning Huabing struggled to say something. Her voice dried up in her throat when she saw someone approaching in the distance. Her body trembled when she mistakenly looked directly at the commander. In an instant, her eyes fell to the floor. Her teeth chattered because of the trembling.

But to her surprise, someone stood in front of her. Whether it was to avoid the commander's anger or not, Ning Huabing immediately became polite to everyone. When she raised her head, she felt her heart jump. She exhaled uneasily, and her hands covering her mouth were shaking.

"Put her down, right now." Li Chenyang was furious, his fingers clenched into white fists. He dug his fingers deep into his palms, even cutting his skin. "What are you doing, Jin Kai? Do you know the consequences of your actions?!" he hissed.

Wen Jinkai hugged Li Xueyue tighter, and his eyes darkened in an instant.

Li Chenyang was furious. Words could not describe his anger. He hated the commander deeply. He wanted to snatch his sister back from the commander's hands, but he couldn't do it physically. No one had the courage to touch the dragon's treasure, not even Li Chenyang himself.

"Damn it, she's my sister. Leave her to me, I'll take care of her-"

Wen Jinkai hugged Li Xueyue closer, "Is this how you treat her? Let her participate in such a disgusting martial arts competition?!"

Li Chenyang was stunned by the commander's words. He...he actually cared about Xueyue...? "I tried to convince her not to do it - hey, where are you going?!"

Wen Jinkai rushed past Li Chenyang and prepared to walk towards the exit of the competition, but was roughly grabbed by Li Chenyang by the shoulder. "Listen, you barbaric man, if you walk out of here, I will think it is a declaration that you care about my sister. If you care about her, it means that you are able to love her. \"

Li Chenyang's eyes flashed and he warned: "If you walk out of here with her, I hope you can confess your love to her and marry her."

"I have no feelings for her."

"And birds can't fly!" Li Chenyang roared. "If you become a coward who dares not admit your feelings, then you don't deserve to walk away with her."

Wen Jinkai hesitated. He looked down at Xueyue, and his cold heart trembled violently because of her appearance. His mind flashed back to those unconscious nights, and he felt her beside him. When she changed his towel, her fingers gently brushed his forehead. That seductive voice, asking to take him back to the manor.

He thought back to her words, "If you can't love me, don't marry me." Bold, but loving.

"Believe whatever you want to believe. I don't care." Wen Jinkai left without saying anything else. Xueyue snuggled comfortably in his arms.
