Li Xueyue groaned secretly in her heart. His intuition was sharp, just like his master. She raised her chin and glanced back.

Little Orange stepped forward, thinking it was a call. He recognized the scent. This human smelled like his master. There was no doubt in her mind that she knew where he was.

"No, go away," Li Xueyue said angrily. She was annoyed by his proximity to her. "I'm not delicious."

Little Orange scoffed, as if he would eat inferior meat.

Little Orange smelled the smell of her skirt, and Li Xueyue pulled at it. He stopped directly in front of her. She stepped back, wondering if she could outrun the tiger. Obviously not. He bared his teeth and growled. Little Orange was frustrated.

She cursed his name. It sounded so cute. Little orange.

It's ironic that Yuzhen gave Xiaojuzi this name. This tiger is not small at all. It is larger than the average tiger.

"How did you break the chain?" Li Xueyue asked, her heart racing. He didn't seem too happy with her, but he wouldn't eat her, would he? Of course, she didn't attack him.

Li Xueyue was very sure that predators like Xiaojuzi would only attack herbivores... hopefully.

"Don't move!" Li Xueyue growled as Xiaojuzi came towards her. He was too close to her, and her skirt swayed whenever he exhaled.

"Princess...Princess..." the maids said weakly, "Should...should we go and invite His Royal Highness the Crown Prince?"

At this moment, Xiaojuzi's face became more and more ferocious. He roared and pounced on them, scaring everyone out of their wits.

Li Xueyue blocked herself with her arms in fear and gasped. But instead of attacking her, he rushed towards the soldiers behind her. They raised their swords.

"No, no, no, don't eat my guard!" Li Xueyue screamed in horror. A man fell to the ground, face to face with Xiaojuzi, who pressed him to the ground.

"Who keeps a tiger as a pet?" Li Xueyue complained loudly, not knowing what to do. She could only stand there and watch Xiaojuzi suddenly raise his head. He sniffed the air and a familiar smell came.

"Okay...Tiger?" she stammered, not sure if her words had any effect.

Little Orange continued to sniff around with his nose raised. He found something.

Li Xueyue looked around and finally understood why Xiaojuzi attacked the guards. They had drawn their swords and were ready to kill people.

"Put down your weapons," she ordered them, her voice shaking. "If we don't hurt the tiger, it won't hurt us."

The guards hesitated and looked at each other, worried about the princess's safety. However, the sword was put away. Many maids were impressed by the prince and princess, especially those who were watching.

No one could make the beast obey. Except the prince himself. Many people believed that it was the prince's majesty that made the tiger obedient.

But the Crown Princess has a gentle temperament, which makes people feel awe and confusion. How did she tame this beast?!

"Look, we are harmless." Li Xueyue said to Xiaojuzi.

His large body still held the fallen guard to the ground. By this time, the poor soldier had fainted from shock.

However, Xiaojuzi's attention was no longer on protecting her. He spotted a familiar figure not far away. He watched the figure approach carefully. His master, tall, powerful, and intimidating, appeared.

"This is the third time you've done this."

Li Xueyue heard the friction of clothes, and the servants hurriedly bent down to salute the prince who was standing behind the princess. The prince passed by the princess and stopped in front of the tiger.

She was horrified to see Yu Zhen sternly reach out his hand and touch the broken chain.

Yu's lips twitched, and he felt amused. He didn't know what she would do if he took a step to the side. Li Xueyue seemed to know what he was thinking, and she put her fingers into his clothes. She hugged him tightly.

"Maybe if instead of locking him up, you put him in a safe place where he could roam free, he wouldn't feel as trapped."

Yu Zhen raised his eyebrows, hiding behind him and criticizing his master's words and deeds? It was a classic.

"Orange has a huge yard to roam freely. The chain is long enough to let him do whatever he wants without having to go outside the fence."

"The chains may be too uncomfortable." Li Xueyue muttered.

"Why didn't you say it to my face?"

Li Xueyue grabbed his clothes tightly and stared at his broad shoulders. This beast, doesn’t he really like to tease her?

"You know why," she retorted.

"The little orange won't bite you."

"You never know."

"Yes, he is mine."

Li Xueyue's heart skipped a beat when he held her fingers and his thumb gently brushed across her knuckles.

This gesture was so sweet that the servants present could not help but be overwhelmed by it. It was rare for the prince to be so gentle. His usual sad expression was replaced by a gentle smile. They had never seen such a warm look in his eyes.

"You're shaking." Yu Zhen looked down and saw the fear in her eyes. Suddenly, he took her hand and walked towards Xiaojuzi.

Li Xueyue screamed and tried to pull her hand back, but he held her hand tightly. No matter how she tried to escape, he would not let her go.

"No, don't!" she hissed, her eyes wide with fear. She needed her fingers, even if they were a mess!

Ignoring her protests, Yu forced his fingers in front of Little Orange's face and pushed hard on his shoulders, trying to break free.

Little Orange sniffed her hand and frowned. She didn't smell good at all. Little Orange, like a spoiled pet, tilted his chin to the side and refused to take a bite. He would rather not have an upset stomach.

"You see, he's harmless."

"I'm going to hurt you," she threatened, slapping his arm.

"You torture me every day," Yu Zhen mused. He put her hand to his lips and kissed her knuckles.

"how?"

“By breathing.”

Li Xueyue looked at him in shock, wondering if he was crazy. What did this mean?

"I don't know."

Yu Zhen said to her with a wry smile. As long as she breathed beside him, he couldn't help but listen to a few more words. Just seeing her made him excited.

He pulled her close and pushed her hair away from her face. He didn't like the way her hair covered her forehead.

Yu Zhen leaned down, and his lips touched her ear. She shuddered and instinctively moved closer to him.

"Believe me, you'd better not know." His voice was hoarse and deep, as if he was suppressing something.

Li Xueyue could only blink after hearing what he said. She knew exactly what he meant. But teasing him was just too much fun...especially the consequences.
