Rocot: Reborn

"It's you?! Why are you here?!" Roccod pushed Ellie away and struggled to stand up, but because of his serious injuries, he fell to the ground again. He pointed at the red-haired woman, his scarlet eyes seemed to be spitting fire, "You betrayed me! You told the Federation about my plan!"

The red-haired woman smiled contemptuously, looking down at Roccod as if he were an ant: "Roccod, look at your current state, it's really ridiculous. Do you think you are still the arrogant King of the Night? Do you think you can overthrow the rule of the Federation with your little cleverness?"

"Shut up!" Rocot roared, his body trembling slightly, obviously angered by the red-haired woman's words.

"Why, are you angry because I said it right?" The red-haired woman walked slowly to Roccod and looked down at him. "I'm telling you, Roccod, you lost, and you lost miserably! Do you think I don't know about your so-called revenge plans? Do you think I don't know that you have been using Ellie? Do you really think I don't know what you want?"

Ellie stood aside, listening to the conversation between the red-haired woman and Roccod, feeling confused and uneasy. She didn't understand who this woman who suddenly appeared was, nor why she said these words. She wanted to ask, but she didn't know what to say.

"Who are you? What do you want to do?" Rocot asked through gritted teeth, enduring the pain in his body.

"It doesn't matter who I am. What matters is that I know what you want." The red-haired woman bent down, leaned close to Roccod's ear, and spoke in a voice that only the two of them could hear, "I know you are looking for the 'Key of Eternal Night', and I know what you want to do with it. However, I advise you to give up this stupid idea, because you will never get it!"

"You..." Roccod raised his head suddenly, a trace of fear flashed in his eyes, but he quickly regained his composure and sneered, "What do you know? Do you think I will believe your nonsense?"

"Believe it or not." The red-haired woman stood up and clapped her hands. Suddenly, a group of fully armed soldiers walked out of the surrounding woods and surrounded Rocot and Ellie.

"Locked, you've been wanted by the federation. Just surrender, and I can consider giving you a quick death." The red-haired woman said coldly.

“Hahaha…” Rocot suddenly laughed up to the sky, his laughter full of despair and madness, “Federation? Do you think I really care? I tell you, even if I, Rocot, die, I will drag all of you down with me!”

He suddenly raised his head, a trace of determination flashed in his eyes, he reached into his arms, took out a black metal ball and held it high.

"Oh no! He's going to detonate the energy core!" The red-haired woman's face changed drastically, and she shouted, "Stop him now!"

The soldiers looked at each other, not daring to step forward for a moment. Rocot's name was like a nightmare in the past. Even though he looked weak now, the fear brought by the King of Darkness still remained in their hearts. The red-haired woman cursed "waste" inwardly and was about to take action herself, but she saw that Rocot suddenly stopped laughing and instead showed a sinister smile.

"What, are you scared?" Rocot licked the corner of his mouth, his scarlet eyes full of mockery, "You lackeys, are you qualified to stop me?"

"Stop talking nonsense! Rocot, you're at your wit's end!" the red-haired woman shouted angrily, "Do you think you can turn the world upside down by yourself?"

Roccod ignored her and just turned to look at Ellie, with a complex emotion in his eyes. Ellie was startled by his gaze and subconsciously took a step back.

"Ellie, are you afraid of me?" Roccod's voice was low and hoarse, like a wounded beast growling in a low voice, "Have you forgotten who picked you up from the garbage dump? Who gave you a new life? Who made you have everything you have now?"

Ellie bit her lip and said nothing. Of course, she could not forget Rocot's kindness to her. If it weren't for Rocot, she might have died by now. But, was everything Rocot did just for her? Those sacrifices, the blood, the innocent lives...

"What, you have nothing to say?" A trace of pain flashed in Rocot's eyes, "I have done so much for you, and this is how you repay me?"

"Shut up!" Ellie suddenly exploded. She raised her head abruptly, tears welling up in her eyes. "Everything you did was never for me! You only did it for yourself and for your father's revenge! You used me, deceived me, and used me as a tool to achieve your ambitions!"

Roccod was stunned. He didn't seem to expect Ellie to say such a thing. He opened his mouth and wanted to say something, but found that he couldn't say anything.

"Lockold, wake up!" Ellie's voice was trembling, but extremely firm, "You have lost yourself! Look at yourself now, where is the appearance of the past? You have become a monster, a monster who only knows revenge!"

Rocot's body trembled violently, he closed his eyes in pain, and the black metal ball in his hand slipped.

"Ellie, you..." Roccod spoke with difficulty, his voice so hoarse that it was almost inaudible, "How do you really...see me?"

Ellie didn't answer, but just looked at him quietly, her eyes full of complicated emotions. Roccod looked at her, his eyes gradually lost their spirit, as if he had lost all his strength in an instant.

At this moment, the red-haired woman who had been silent all this time suddenly moved. She made a lightning-fast move and snatched the black metal ball that Rocot had dropped on the ground, with a triumphant smile on her face.

"It's over, Rocot." The red-haired woman raised the black metal ball in her hand high and ordered the soldiers around her, "Capture him for me!"

The soldiers seemed to have just woken up from their dream, raised their weapons and approached Rocot.

"Ellie..." Roccod seemed not to notice what was happening around him. He just stared at Ellie infatuatedly, his eyes full of pleading and despair. "Tell me, this isn't true... this isn't true..."

Ellie looked at Roccod with mixed feelings. She wanted to say something, but something seemed to be blocking her throat, so she couldn't make a sound.

The soldiers pressed forward step by step, and soon surrounded Rocot. However, Rocot seemed to have lost all his will to resist, and just stood there stupidly, allowing the soldiers to subdue him.

"Lockold, you lose." The red-haired woman walked up to Lockold and looked down at him, her eyes full of mockery and complacency. "Do you think you can still control everything like before?"

Rocot said nothing, but just lowered his head and allowed the red-haired woman to humiliate him.

"Take him away!" The red-haired woman looked at Rocot with disgust and turned away.

The soldiers escorted Rocot past Ellie.

"Ellie..." Roccod suddenly raised his head and looked at Ellie, with a flash of determination in his eyes, "Forget me... Live well..."

Before he could finish his words, he suddenly broke free from the soldiers and rushed towards Ellie.

"Be careful!" the red-haired woman exclaimed, but it was too late to stop it.

I saw Roccod rush to Ellie at lightning speed, hugged her, and then...

...and kissed her hard.
