Rocot: Reborn
Chapter 149
"What the hell are you talking about? I haven't even slept with many women, so how could I have a daughter?" Rocot jumped away like a cat whose tail was stepped on, with disbelief on his face.
Ellie was a little confused by his vulgar reaction and said timidly, "It's true. I really am your daughter. My name is Ellie... Roccod Ellie."
"Stop yelling! Who allowed you to be called Rokod?" Rokod scratched his ears impatiently. "When I was a big shot, so many women wanted to have children for me, but I refused. Now you, a little girl, come out and say you're my daughter? You have to make up a more credible story!"
Ellie bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes: "I didn't lie to you, I really am your daughter. My mother's name is..."
"Alright, stop crying! I hate women crying the most!" Rocot interrupted her impatiently, "If you really want to acknowledge me as your father, it's not impossible. How about this, you call me father and tell me everything you know. If you can impress me, I will reluctantly acknowledge you as my daughter."
Ellie was stunned for a moment, as if she had not expected Roccod to make such a request. She hesitated for a moment, but finally took a deep breath and summoned up the courage to shout, "Dad..."
Rocot nodded with satisfaction and smiled playfully: "Hey, my dear daughter, you called me daddy very well. Now, it's time to tell me your story."
Ellie secretly wiped the tears from her eyes and began to tell her life story.
She said that her mother was once a scientist under Roccod's rule and participated in the research of the "Eternal Life Project". After Roccod was betrayed and killed, her mother stole his genetic samples and some research data, went into hiding, and used these data to give birth to her.
"The Immortality Project?" Roccod frowned. The name seemed to have awakened some vague memories in his mind. "Why did your mother do this?"
Ellie shook her head. "I don't know. Mom never told me. She just said that I was your hope and the only one who could prevent future disasters."
Rocot sneered, "Stop the disaster? Just a little girl like you?"
"I didn't lie to you!" Ellie said anxiously, "Mom said that the reason you studied the 'Eternal Life Plan' was..."
Before she could finish her words, she was interrupted by a shrill alarm.
"Oh no, they're chasing us!" Ellie turned pale and looked around in horror.
Roccod frowned, keenly aware of the abnormal energy fluctuations around him. He grabbed Ellie's wrist and asked coldly, "Who is it?"
Before Ellie could answer, she saw dozens of fully armed mechanical soldiers rushing out of the dense forest, the laser weapons in their hands emitting dangerous light.
"Target locked: Rocot Ellie, highest authority: kill!" The cold mechanical voice echoed in the forest, carrying with it a chilling murderous intent.
"Damn it!" Roccod cursed, it seemed that he couldn't avoid this trouble today. He protected Ellie behind him with his backhand, a bloodthirsty light flashed in his eyes, "Want to capture my daughter? Let's see if you have the ability to do it!"
Rocot threw Ellie behind him like a rag doll.
"Stay away, little girl, and don't get in the way!" He growled without turning his head. There was not a trace of fatherly kindness in his tone, only undisguised disgust.
Ellie stumbled a few steps due to the sudden movement and almost fell to the ground. She looked at Roccod's tall and straight back, and a trace of hurt flashed in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by a determined look. She clenched her fists and hid behind a thick tree trunk.
Rocot sneered and licked his lips, revealing a bloodthirsty arc.
"A bunch of scrap metal dare to come and die!" He stretched his muscles and bones, making crackling sounds, as if a sleeping beast was waking up.
Before he finished speaking, he had turned into a shadow and rushed into the encirclement of mechanical soldiers.
The laser beams cut through the air, passing by with scorching heat, but Roccod was like a nimble cheetah, moving freely in the hail of bullets. Each of his punches and kicks contained terrifying power, tearing and crushing those steel bodies with ease.
Although the mechanical soldiers outnumbered them, they were as weak as paper in front of Roccod. Their cold programs could not predict Roccod's movements, nor could they understand his fighting skills. They could only watch their companions turn into a pile of scrap metal one by one.
"Report! The target's combat effectiveness assessment is wrong! Requesting support! Requesting support!" The leading mechanical soldier made a rapid electronic sound, but before he could send out a distress signal, his head was crushed by Rokod.
"Support? I am your nightmare!" Rocot laughed wildly, grabbed a heavy laser cannon on the ground and aimed it at the remaining mechanical soldiers.
The blinding blue light cut through the night sky, melting the steel bodies into pools of molten iron. Roccod stood in the pile of corpses, covered in blood, but like a triumphant god of war, he exuded a chilling aura.
Ellie hid behind a tree and witnessed all this, her eyes full of shock and disbelief. Is this her father? The king who once ruled the dark world?
"Are you okay?" A gentle voice sounded in her ear.
Ellie looked back and saw a slender woman in a black tights standing behind her, holding a strangely shaped energy gun in her hand.
The woman had long fiery red hair that was as dazzling as a burning flame, and a pair of emerald green eyes full of wildness and charm. There was a hint of worry on her face, but more of an indescribable complex emotion.
"Who are you?" Ellie asked warily. She instinctively felt that this woman was dangerous, yet she also felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity.
The woman smiled slightly, revealing her white teeth, but with a hint of bitterness: "I'm here to take you home, child."
"Go home?" Ellie was stunned for a moment, "You mean... my mother?"
"No," the woman shook her head, "I'm your other..."
Before she could finish her words, she was interrupted by a sudden loud noise.
Roccod's figure fell from the sky and landed heavily in front of them, creating a large hole in the ground. He struggled to stand up, but spat out a mouthful of blood, his face frighteningly pale.
"Rocot!" Ellie exclaimed and ran over to support him.
"Cough cough..." Roccod coughed violently a few times, raised his head with difficulty, and looked at the red-haired woman, his eyes full of shock and anger, "It's you?! How could you..."
