Rocot: Reborn

Rocot was dragged by Ellie and ran wildly in the forest. He wanted to ask, but the girl ran so fast like a frightened deer that he could only swallow back all his questions.

"I say, who are you? And who are those guys?" Locot finally couldn't help it, grabbed Ellie, and asked while gasping for breath.

Ellie was stunned for a moment, then she patted her head as if she just remembered something and stuck out her tongue: "Oh, look at me, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Ellie, yes..."

"Wait," Roccod interrupted her, "I don't want to hear this. I just want to know why you are there? And who are those people chasing you?"

Ellie blinked her big eyes and looked at Roccod innocently: "Do you really want to know?"

"Nonsense!" Rocot yelled angrily. He was in a terrible mood at the moment. He just wanted to figure out the situation as quickly as possible and leave this damn place.

"Well, actually..." Ellie lowered her voice and said mysteriously, "I escaped from the laboratory."

"Laboratory?" Roccod frowned. This answer was totally unexpected to him. "What laboratory?"

"That's it..." Ellie was about to explain, but her face suddenly changed. She covered Rockold's mouth with her hand, pulled him behind a thick tree, and signaled him to be quiet.

"Shh, don't talk, they're coming!" Ellie lowered her voice with a hint of fear in her tone.

Roccod followed Ellie's gaze and saw several soldiers in black uniforms and holding laser weapons searching towards them.

"Damn it!" Rocot cursed. He didn't expect those guys to be so hard to get rid of.

"We have to get out of here!" Ellie grabbed Rocot's hand and wanted to continue running away.

"Wait!" Roccod grabbed Ellie, a fierce look flashing in his eyes, "Since we can't hide, let's fight them!"

"You're crazy!" Ellie exclaimed, "They are the elite troops of the empire, you are no match for them!"

"We won't know until we try it!" Roccod said, pushing Ellie away, pulling out a sharp dagger from his waist, and rushing towards the soldiers.

"Hey! Come back!" Ellie exclaimed, trying to stop Rocot, but it was too late.

Rocot rushed to the soldiers like a flash of black lightning. The dagger in his hand turned into a series of cold rays, stabbing them accurately in the vital points.

"Enemy attack!"

"Fire!"

The soldiers obviously had not expected to be attacked here, and immediately became confused. Laser beams flew around in the forest, and the trees were blown into flying wood chips and flames shot up into the sky.

Roccod was agile and moved freely in the hail of bullets, reaping the lives of the enemies with the dagger in his hand. Blood splattered and screams came one after another. In a blink of an eye, several soldiers fell in a pool of blood.

"Monster! He's a monster!"

The remaining soldiers were so frightened upon seeing this that they dropped their weapons and fled.

"Want to run? Not that easy!" Locot sneered and chased after him as fast as lightning.

"Don't kill them!" Ellie's voice suddenly sounded behind her.

Roccod paused, turned around, and looked at Ellie in confusion: "Why?"

Ellie bit her lip, hesitated, and said, "They... they were just following orders."

Looking at Ellie's pleading eyes, Locot's heart softened, and he finally let the fleeing soldiers go.

"Why did you save them?" Rocot walked up to Ellie and asked in confusion.

"I..." Ellie lowered her head, seemingly unwilling to say more.

Roccod looked at Ellie's petite figure, and suddenly he felt an urge to protect her. He reached out and gently lifted Ellie's chin, forcing her to look at him: "Look at me, tell me, who are you?"

Ellie's eyes flashed with panic, but she quickly calmed down. She met Roccod's gaze and said word by word: "I... I am your daughter."
