Rocot: Reborn

Ellie was stunned, and so were the soldiers around her. No one had expected that the once powerful King of the Night would kiss a woman as his last move when surrounded by enemies.

The red-haired woman was the first to react. Her sharp voice was as piercing as if being scraped against metal. "Asshole! What are you still standing there for! Kill him!"

The soldiers suddenly woke up as if from a dream, raised their energy weapons and shot at Rokod.

"No!" Ellie screamed and subconsciously tried to push Rocot away, but he held her tightly.

"Don't move, Ellie." Roccod whispered in her ear, his tone was incredibly gentle, as if they were not in danger, but walking under the moonlight. "Let me feel your warmth for the last time."

Ellie's body trembled violently, and an inexplicable fear surged into her heart. She wanted to speak, but she couldn't say anything. She could only watch countless energy beams shooting towards them.

However, at this moment, a black barrier suddenly appeared around Rokod, blocking all attacks.

"What's going on?!" The red-haired woman was shocked and angry. "What is this?!"

Roccod ignored her and just hugged Ellie tightly, as if he wanted to merge her into his body. The black metal armor on his body began to emit strange light, and the space around him began to distort.

"Ellie, do you remember the first time we met?" Roccod's voice was low and hoarse, as if it came from the depths of hell. "You were still an innocent little girl at that time, and I was already a demon with blood on my hands."

Ellie's body trembled again. She certainly remembered that day. On that day, she witnessed her parents being killed by Roccod's men, and she was taken back to the Shadow Realm by Roccod and became his "pet".

"Do you hate me?" There was a barely perceptible tremor in Rocot's voice.

Ellie didn't answer, she just closed her eyes and let the tears flow down her cheeks. Hate? Love? She didn't know, she didn't know how to face this man anymore.

"It's okay, you don't have to answer." Roccod seemed to see through her thoughts and gently stroked her hair. "I know you hate me, and you want to kill me to avenge your parents. But, Ellie, have you ever thought about why I keep you by my side?"

Ellie's eyes snapped open and she looked at him in disbelief.

Roccod smiled sadly, "Because you are my only salvation in this world, the only light in my dark life..."

Before he finished speaking, the black barrier suddenly shattered, and countless energy beams shot towards them again. Roccod groaned, and a trace of blood flowed from the corner of his mouth, but he still hugged Ellie tightly, using his body to resist all attacks for her.

"No!" Ellie let out a heart-wrenching scream. She finally understood that this man, the man she once hated to the core, was actually using his life to protect her!

"Rocot! You lunatic! Let her go!" The red-haired woman roared hysterically, and the energy weapon in her hand continuously sprayed out deadly beams.

"Ellie, remember what I said..." Roccod's voice became weaker and weaker, but he still held her tightly, refusing to let go, "Live well..."

"No! No! I don't want you to die!" Ellie shook her head desperately, tears blurring her eyes.

At this moment, Roccod's body suddenly burst into a dazzling light...

After the blinding light, Roccod and Ellie disappeared. The red-haired woman stared in astonishment, and the energy weapon in her hand fell to the ground. "Where are they? Where did they go?"

The soldiers looked at each other, no one knew what was going on.

"Damn it! Search! Even if you have to dig three feet into the ground, you must find them for me!" The red-haired woman roared in frustration. She didn't believe that Rocot had disappeared just like that, and she didn't believe that he would die so easily.

"Boss, what do you see there?" a soldier exclaimed, pointing up into the air.

The red-haired woman looked up suddenly, and saw a huge black vortex in the air, emitting a frightening energy fluctuation. In the center of the vortex, the figures of Roccod and Ellie were vaguely visible.

"Want to escape? That's not that easy!" The red-haired woman sneered, raised the energy weapon in her hand, and aimed at the vortex in the air, "Blast it for me!"

Dense energy beams whizzed out and bombarded the black vortex, causing ripples. However, the vortex showed no signs of collapse, but instead spun faster and faster, swallowing up everything around it.

"Oh no! Retreat quickly!" The red-haired woman's face changed drastically. She realized the danger and turned around to escape.

However, it was too late.

The black vortex suddenly expanded, instantly swallowing up the red-haired woman and all the soldiers. The screams stopped abruptly, replaced by an eerie silence.

"Ahem..."

Rocot opened his eyes and found himself lying in a strange room. The room was small, but very cozy, with a faint fragrance in the air.

"Are you awake?" a clear and pleasant voice sounded.

Roccod turned around and saw Ellie sitting beside the bed, looking at him with concern.

"Ellie? Where are we?" Roccod struggled to sit up, but felt a sharp pain and couldn't help groaning.

"Don't move, you're badly injured." Ellie quickly held his shoulders, her eyes full of worry, "This is a safe place, don't worry."

"A safe place?" Rocot frowned. "How did we escape? Where are those soldiers?"

Ellie's eyes flickered, as if she was hesitating about something.

"Tell me, Ellie." Rocco's tone became serious. He felt that things were not simple.

Ellie bit her lip, finally made up her mind, took a deep breath and said, "Do you still remember that black vortex? That was me..."

Before Ellie could finish her words, the door of the room was suddenly pushed open roughly, and a tall figure appeared at the door.

"Ellie! Are you okay? I heard..." The man's voice stopped abruptly when he saw Rocot, his eyes full of shock and anger.

"Who are you?" Rocot narrowed his eyes and looked at the uninvited guest in front of him.

"I am..." The man was about to speak, but Ellie suddenly stood up, blocked him, and said in a cold tone: "Renault, you are not welcome here, please leave!"
