My Rebirth and the Strange Adventure of Black Zhen
Chapter 358: Crisis at Bathory Castle (Part )
In the distant past, tens of thousands of years ago, C'Thun and other ancient gods descended from the endless dark void and appeared on the continent of Azeroth in an unstoppable manner. They brought the power of decay and destruction, like giant pustules that spread rapidly, spreading the haze of despair to every corner.
The organic matter that seeped out of the decayed bodies of these ancient gods gave birth to the cunning and resourceful Enlaki, also known as the "Faceless Ones", and the tenacious and powerful Aqir Zerg. With the assistance of this group of loyal servants, the Old Gods continued to expand the boundaries of their territory.
As time went by, even the elemental creatures of Azeroth could not escape the control of the Old Gods and became their slaves. At this point, the eternal twilight of the Dark Empire shone on this once vibrant land, plunging the entire Azeroth into a deep vortex of pain, torture and death.
One day in the long years, the powerful Titan Aggramar suddenly felt a mysterious power fluctuation coming from afar. After careful sensing, he was surprised to find that this power actually came from a new life that had just been born - the Pantheon called it Azeroth.
The power of this new relative was so great that even the well-informed Aggramar was shocked. He had never thought that such a young being could possess such earth-shaking power. So, with full of expectations and curiosity, Aggramar decided to go to Azeroth to find out for himself.
As he gradually approached Azeroth, the scene before him made him dumbfounded and horrified. He saw that the void energy tightly wrapped the surface of the entire planet like a layer of rotten meat. The land that should have been full of vitality was now devastated. What's worse is that the evil forces of the Old Gods and the Dark Empire have long been entrenched here and firmly controlled this poor planet.
Aggramar thought to himself that, judging from the current situation of Azeroth, it would not be long before it was completely destroyed, and the pure soul of the newborn Titan would inevitably be corrupted. Thinking of this, Aggramar could not help but feel a sense of regret, but at the same time he was more deeply worried.
In the Pantheon, all the Titans reached a consensus: Azeroth must be saved at any cost! They decided to go to Azeroth in person, overthrow the evil Dark Empire, and liberate the young and fragile soul of the world.
However, at the same time, a worrying problem emerged - the Titans' enormous bodies were too huge. If they descended directly on Azeroth, it would likely cause irreparable damage to the young soul of the world, and might even destroy her completely!
Faced with this problem, the clever Titans came up with a solution. They used their unparalleled creativity and power to create a group of powerful Titan creations. These creations not only have extraordinary power, but can also perfectly execute the will of the Pantheon and become the Titans' right-hand men in Azeroth.
These brave Titan creations quickly joined the battle, successfully imprisoned the violent elemental lords, and defeated the huge army of Aqir insects. Just when victory was in sight, something unexpected happened - when the Titans witnessed the catastrophic consequences of the death of the ancient god Y'Shaarj, they suddenly realized that even destroying these ancient gods would bring devastating blows to the entire world.
This earth-shattering discovery plunged all members of the Pantheon into endless contemplation. Faced with such a difficult situation, everyone pondered for a long time and finally came to the conclusion: At present, the only way to solve the problem is to imprison these ancient gods and the evil forces they contain. So, after successfully imprisoning N'Zoth, the Titan creations continued to move south without stopping, launched a fierce attack on the temple city where C'Thun was located, and at the same time engaged in a fierce battle with the huge and terrifying Enraqi army under his command.
After an arduous battle, the Guardians finally won the victory and successfully buried C'Thun's body deep underground, and then built an extremely solid cage around it. At this point, all the Old Gods have been completely defeated, and the Titan creations have been able to restore the original order of the world of Azeroth. After the construction of the Forge of Origin was completed, the Titan Guardian and his loyal followers began to work hard around C'Thun's cage day and night, and finally built a magnificent and majestic city of Ahn'Qiraj as they wished.
In the long years that followed, C'Thun had been sleeping quietly in his cage. However, about 16,000 years before the opening of the Dark Portal, an unexpected thing happened - some of the Aqir who had escaped from the destruction of the Dark Empire and fell into a long sleep were accidentally awakened by the trolls.
Under the wise and heroic leadership of General Kishix of Krasis, a protracted war broke out between the Aqir and the Trolls! The war was so intense that the sky was dark and the sun and moon were dim, and both sides tried their best to defeat the other side.
However, good will eventually prevail over evil. After countless fierce battles, the trolls successfully drove the hateful Aqir back to the ancient and mysterious Kalimdor continent. Some of the cunning Aqir fled to the southwest and occupied the important place of Ahn'Qiraj. Not only that, these hateful guys also enslaved the Anubisath giants who were originally responsible for guarding Ahn'Qiraj and made them their slaves.
Although the Yaqir Zerg used all means possible, even driving the corrupted Titan creations to fight their enemies, the brave and fearless Gurubashi Trolls were not intimidated. Instead, they fought more and more bravely, and finally won an undisputed victory in this war! By the end of the war, all the Yaqir Zerg were firmly trapped in their fortresses and could no longer escape.
In the following thousand years, the Yaqir Zergs were unable to escape from their predicament and remained trapped in their cages. However, as time went by and C'Thun's powerful influence gradually infiltrated, the Yaqir Zergs underwent amazing changes - they actually evolved into a completely new race: the Qiraji!
In this way, the days passed one by one, and thousands of years passed... until 975 BC when the Dark Portal opened, the gears of fate began to turn. Due to an unexpected incident, the night elves accidentally awakened the sleeping Ahn'Qiraj Aqir insects. Thus, a new round of crisis came to the world.
C'Thun awakens in his prison and realizes that the Silithids have gathered around him. Driven by the Old Gods, the Qiraji and the Silithids fall into a killing frenzy and then sweep across Silithus. This is the beginning of the War of the Shifting Sands. The entire Silithus is engulfed by the Qiraji and the Silithid tide in an instant. After a desperate fight, the druids and their allies were on the verge of victory, but they were ambushed by the Qiraji and Valstann was killed in the ambush.
The death of his beloved son was like an extremely sharp sword, deeply piercing the strong yet fragile heart of the Archdruid Fandral Staghelm. This sudden blow plunged him into an endless abyss of pain, and his originally strong spiritual world collapsed in an instant.
The warriors of the night elf army were shocked to see their beloved leader in such grief. The morale of the army plummeted, and they suffered repeated defeats in battle. They could only retreat continuously, and finally fled from the Un'Goro Crater in a crushing defeat. They were defeated all the way until they reached the border between the eastern part of the crater and the Tanaris Desert, where they reluctantly stopped.
The flames of war burned mercilessly and quickly spread to the gate of the Bronze Dragon Legion's holy land, the Caverns of Time. Fandral was extremely anxious and sent a distress signal to the Caverns of Time without hesitation, and asked the Bronze Dragon Legion led by Anachronos to lend a hand. However, facing this unprecedented crisis, Anachronos was full of contradictions and struggles. Although he was a little hesitant, when the Qiraji launched a sudden attack on the Caverns of Time, he clearly realized that he could no longer sit idly by. So he resolutely made up his mind to fully assist the allies on the continent of Kalimdor who were in dire straits.
After a fierce battle, Anachronos gradually realized that the power of the bronze dragons and the night elves alone seemed to be unable to withstand the powerful offensive of the insect people. After careful consideration, he decided to seek help from other dragon forces. First, he sent an emergency signal to the Green Dragon Legion; then, he contacted the Red Dragon Legion and the Blue Dragon Legion, hoping to get their support and cooperation.
After hearing the news, various dragon tribes responded to the call and expressed their willingness to fight against the evil Qiraji insects together.
On the vast continent of Azeroth, the mysterious and powerful blue dragon Arygos, with his keen perception, first detected a strange energy fluctuation originating from the southern temple of Ahn'Qiraj. This energy is completely different from the various powers possessed by the well-known Qiraji insects. It seems to come from another world, full of unknowns and dangers.
As time went by, more and more Qiraji insects poured out of the ancient temple like a tide, endlessly and without end. Faced with such a large army of insects and the unfathomable ruler behind them, the dragons knew that they could no longer sit idly by and must take immediate action to stop the spread of this disaster.
Thus, the brave and fearless night elves and the majestic dragon army gathered in front of Ahn'Qiraj, ready to complete a difficult and sacred mission together. The druids worked together, gathered their magic power together, and fought side by side with the great Anachronos, successfully summoning a huge barrier that shook the world. This barrier was like an indestructible wall, stretching in front of Ahn'Qiraj and tightly blocking the entire city.
At this moment, the dry and barren land suddenly trembled violently, and with a deafening roar, the ground cracked. Countless hard rocks and huge tree roots broke out of the ground, intertwined and merged, and finally formed a towering, rock-hard magical barrier - the Scarab Wall! This magnificent wall stood in this desolate land, like a natural barrier, firmly trapping those terrifying Qiraji insects in the city, so that they could never take a step forward again.
After a thrilling battle, the Quicksand War finally came to an end, and C'Thun's plot to rule the world failed again. The dawn of victory spread across the land, and people cheered and celebrated this hard-won victory.
Anachronos crafted two artifacts of mysterious power: the Scarab Gong and the Scepter of the Shifting Sands. This powerful scepter was given to Fandral so that if he needed to step into the land of Ahn'Qiraj again one day, he would be able to use this artifact to break the indestructible Scarab Wall.
Unfortunately, despite successfully eliminating the Qiraji threat, Fandral did not find comfort in the process. He was devastated by the tragic death of his friend Valstann. In a fit of rage, he destroyed the Scepter of the Shifting Sands himself, causing the precious artifact to break into countless pieces and scatter everywhere, with no trace left.
Several centuries passed quietly, and the gate of Ahn'Qiraj slowly opened again. The Qiraji insects made a comeback and once again posed a huge threat to the entire Kalimdor continent. Various rumors spread rapidly like a plague. Some people claimed that when C'Thun showed his true face, his giant naked eye would emit a creepy and terrifying atmosphere, as if he could see through everything in the world; others said that his tentacles were as boundless as the ocean, and any foolish people who tried to stop him from ruling the world of Azeroth would be completely wiped out.
The ancient gods had long foreseen the approach of the dragons, so they cast vicious spells in an attempt to control all the dragons that approached them. However, these curses designed specifically for dragons have no effect on ordinary humans. A team of brave warriors composed of ordinary people, relying on their own powerful strength and perseverance, successfully opened up a difficult and dangerous road to the mysterious land of Ahn'Qiraj, and finally arrived at the cage where the evil ancient god C'Thun was imprisoned. Here, these ordinary but brave and fearless warriors are about to create an amazing and unimaginable great feat - defeating the extremely terrifying and infinitely powerful ancient god C'Thun! When this once invincible ancient god who made all living beings tremble in fear finally fell at the feet of mortals, C'Thun's eye full of curses and evil power was presented to the red dragon Kelestasz as a trophy.
Yet few people in the world could truly comprehend the profound and significant significance of the glorious victory of these mortals in Ahn'Qiraj. Even the long-lived guardians, who were entrusted with important tasks, could not fully understand how dangerous and risky it was to challenge C'Thun. The hard-won victory of the guardians of Azeroth sent a clear message to the ancient and powerful gods: as long as humans united as one, their combined strength would be enough to defeat any powerful enemy, including the Old Gods.
