My Rebirth and the Strange Adventure of Black Zhen

Chapter 359: Crisis at Bathory Castle (Part )

Queen Azshara was born with a pair of dazzling golden eyes that destined her to be extraordinary. This unique feature was extremely rare in the night elf society before the Sundering, and golden eyes were often seen as an auspicious sign of a glorious future.

In fact, with her stunning beauty, Azshara quickly won the hearts and minds of many people and ascended the throne of the most respected ruler in the history of the night elves without any suspense. Not only does she have a rock-hard willpower, she is also good at controlling people's hearts and minds, and she also has a peerless beauty. Her achievements in magic are far beyond most other night elves.

As the leader of the Highborne and the only heir to the throne, Azshara has long been obsessed with the mysterious Well of Eternity. So when the grand coronation ceremony of Azsharin kicked off, the ceremony lasted for several days, as if to announce the supreme glory of the new queen to the world. Every night, the nobles of the Highborne would come to the audience in an endless stream, holding countless rare treasures in their hands, trying their best to please the queen. However, among the many flatterers, there was one person who attracted Azshara's special attention.

This man was Lord Xavius, a night elf. The gift he presented to the queen was a magnificent scepter inlaid with dazzling gems. The scepter was carefully engraved with mysterious and ancient magic runes, as if it contained endless magic power. Xavius vowed to Azshara that as long as she carried the scepter with her, it would provide her with wealth and power continuously.

Azshara accepted the gift with great joy, and then raised the scepter high. In an instant, the jewels on the scepter emitted a dazzling light under the bright moonlight, like the twinkling stars in the night sky. The beautiful scene before them made many high-level elves present shed tears. They were deeply moved by the scene before them - the heroic figure of Her Majesty holding the scepter high, and the picture of her holding the precious gift in her hand was too beautiful, so beautiful that it was suffocating.

Azshara was eager to try out the power of this magical scepter, and the first thing she did was to use its powerful magic to further enhance her already legendary beauty. As time went on, a miracle happened: the queen looked younger and younger, more charming and graceful. A bright halo lingered around her, making everyone who gazed at her involuntarily intoxicated and unable to extricate themselves.

Faced with this incredible change, the upper elves were stunned, and some even began to wonder if this was a sign of the advent of gods.

After she successfully ascended the throne, Azshara immersed herself in her passions. Not long after, she ordered the construction of a luxurious palace decorated with countless jewels by the lakeside of the Well of Eternity. In order to please the new queen, the nobles offered suggestions and said that the capital of the night elves should be renamed to highlight her supreme glory and honor.

Azshara accepted the suggestion with elegance and dignity, and after a heated debate and discussion, she finally decided on a new name for the city - Zin-Azshari, which means "the glory of Azshara".

After hearing the news, the night elves in various regions were all excited about the city's new name. They sincerely loved their queen. However, at the same time, they were always suspicious of the high elves (the Quel'dorei) who only knew how to pursue enjoyment and indulge themselves. Although Azshara herself was very charming, her people firmly believed that she would never go along with those corrupt high elves.

One day, the queen's most trusted advisor, Xavius, came to visit her in person. Xavius presented the queen with a detailed plan, saying that he could use the endless mysterious power of the Well of Eternity to accomplish a great feat: purify this vast world and make everything in the world meet the queen's perfect standards.

However, their reckless abuse of magic attracted the attention of an interested bystander: Sargeras. The dark titan had been searching for a way to bring the Burning Legion to Azeroth. So he used sweet words and powerful strength to seduce Xavius, making the latter kneel at his feet. Before long, not only most of the Highborne, but also Queen Azshara herself, joined Sargeras's army.

Xavius wholeheartedly assisted the queen in communicating with Sargeras, and the queen openly revealed to the dark titan her crazy idea of eradicating the inferior races in the world. Sargeras used cunning and insidious tricks to successfully persuade Azshara to open a portal to an unknown area. So far, the first round of invasion of Azeroth by the Burning Legion officially kicked off. This shocking war was later called the "War of the Ancients".

The Burning Legion's first assault on Azeroth descended upon Zin-Azshari, the former capital of the ancient night elf civilization. Led by the demonic leaders Hakkar and Mannoroth, the brutal Legion destroyed Zin-Azshari with swift force and ruthlessly executed anyone who stood in its way.

Suramar, the most populous city in the Night Elf Empire and second only to Zin-Azshari in power, became the next target of the Burning Legion's wrath. Thousands of Night Elves were slaughtered, while those who had long since fallen to the darkness stood silently on the towering walls. At this moment, Azshara was watching the tragic deaths of her people, but she laughed wildly. "Azshara, save us!" "For Azshara!" "Azshara, run!" These sporadic battle slogans that remained in the chaos seemed so pale and powerless. However, Azshara herself just watched coldly, believing that the demise of her people was destined, and that she herself would ascend the throne of the new ruler of the world and reshape everything in the world as she wished. Although a rebellion was finally formed with difficulty, Azshara was completely indifferent to their resistance.

In order to achieve his goal, Sargeras carefully selected three of his most dangerous subordinates - Hakkar the Dog King, Mannoroth the Destroyer, and Archimonde the Defiler. They shouldered important missions, responsible for commanding and supervising the actions of the Burning Legion and leading it to victory.

However, fate always seems to be full of drama. At the critical moment, three brave and fearless night elves stepped forward and fought a desperate battle with the evil forces. They were the druid Malfurion Stormrage, the wizard Illidan Stormrage (Malfurion's brother), and the beautiful and strong priest Tyrande Whisperwind (loved by both brothers). In addition, three legendary heroes from the future world joined the battle: the dragon mage named Krasus when he turned into a human and Koleostrasz when he turned into a dragon; the human mage Rhonin who was proficient in magic manipulation skills; and the orc warrior Broxigar who had experienced countless hardships.

It is precisely because of the continuous efforts and struggles of these brave men that the Burning Legion's ambition to conquer the world ultimately failed. In this thrilling battle between good and evil, each character played a vital role and together wrote a magnificent epic that is worthy of praise and tears.

In the remote and secluded region of Azsuna, there was an upper elf named Prince Farondis who was lucky enough to be far away from the queen and therefore not controlled by the devil. After careful consideration, Farondis felt that the only action he could take was to use a treasure in the Pillars of Creation - the Tidestone of Golganneth to destroy the Well of Eternity.

Unfortunately, this secret plan was heard by a nobleman named Vandors in Farondis's court. Vandors did not hesitate to report the matter to the queen. Upon hearing the news, Azshara was furious and she immediately implemented severe punishment on Farondis and his people.

With a horrifying arcane blast, Azshara easily destroyed the Tidestone of Golganneth and brought down a dark magical haze over the heads of Azsuna and its inhabitants. In an instant, the entire land fell into a dead silence, and the souls of those once noble elves were trapped in this land forever, wandering around, unable to be freed... To this day, they still linger here.

Just as the portal to the other world was about to be completed, a coalition of night elves and powerful allies from the future world (for details, please refer to the War of the Ancients) rushed towards the portal like a gust of wind and destroyed it completely with a thunderous force. This sudden change made Azshara extremely angry, and she immediately went to find Mannoroth to find out what happened.

Faced with Azshara's aggressive questioning and the chaotic situation in front of him, Mannoroth's anger was instantly ignited. In a rage, he even tried to break Azshara's head. However, at the moment he started, he suddenly realized that he had made a serious mistake. Because he truly felt the amazing power hidden in Azshara's body - that power was even second only to his masters Sargeras and Archimonde!

Azshara was apparently not angry at Mannoroth's rude behavior, but graciously forgave his mistake. Then she issued an order: to lead Sargeras to the continent of Kalimdor. At some point during this time, Azshara was attacked by a small group of night elves. These night elves were actually adventurers from the future. Facing the enemy's attack, Azshara calmly ordered the royal guards around her to fight with all their strength, and used a mysterious shield skill to successfully ensure that she was unharmed. In the end, Azshara quietly left after the brief conflict.

Soon after, the portal was destroyed, and the Sundering descended upon Kalimdor. Realizing that Sargeras would not come, Azshara decided not to share this news with her handmaiden and loyal followers. As the roaring waters poured into the rift left by the Well of Eternity's destruction, Azshara held Sharas'dal aloft. She wove a magical shield around her and the other Highborne, protecting them from the waves. But it only slowed their destruction for a short time. The raging waters soon devoured the queen, Sharas'dal, and her followers. Their lungs burned with the need for air, and the queen hoped to let them breathe in the water, but to no avail. The scepter could not save them. A forgotten being reached out with its power, calling to the Highborne in despair. As the waters slowly drained the life from their bodies, ancient creatures writhe in the darkness. Their whispers come with the tide, and their power swirls around the queen and her servants. The Highborne have become a new being, one far different from those before.

Rows of scales gleam on their skins, and their tails slap the waves. An unknown entity transformed the queen and her followers into part of the sea, into the naga. Though Azshara's old empire lay in ruins, she forged a new one beyond the sun's rays. The queen and her naga servants built their capital city of Nazjatar beneath the sea. With patience and cunning, they expanded their rule across the sea. There are even rumors that Azshara has allied herself with the mysterious and powerful entity that transformed them into the naga.

As time passed, Azshara relied less and less on Sharas'dal. She still treasured the scepter, but she found it more useful in the hands of her sea witches. These loyal servants used Sharas'dal as a weapon to expand the naga's rule and destroy all who opposed it. The naga sea witches quickly mastered Sharas'dal's use, just as Azshara had once done. A single swing of the scepter drove thousands of predators into a frenzy, unleashing them into battle against the troublesome sea giants; a whispered spell destroyed the Kvaldir's reavers from the inside out, sending huge waves sweeping away their remains.

When the sea witches were not using Sharas'dal, Azshara would carry it with her, reminiscing about the old days. She still remembered Lord Xavius's promise that the scepter would bring her wealth and power as long as she carried it. Azshara had lost much, but she was not dead, not even close. In her heart, she believed that her underwater empire would eclipse the ancient night elf empire. One day, the world would be hers once again, and she would not let that chance slip away.
