My Rebirth and the Strange Adventure of Black Zhen

Chapter 315 Malkorok Offends Valeera (Continued)

After the war, the paladins of the Order of the Silver Hand worked with the Church of Holy Light to help the Alliance grow and develop, bringing comfort to those poor people who suffered in the war and providing them with a place to rest.

Orc Prisoner of War Camp

In addition to those Alliance members who were busy rebuilding, some of them set out to hunt down the remaining orcs. Alleria did not go with Turalyon to rebuild the Alliance, but, driven by the desire for revenge, hunted orcs to relieve her inner pain. The Alliance hunters captured many orcs, and the Alliance members also had obvious differences on how to deal with these prisoners of war:

Stromgarde and Gilneas proposed the immediate execution of these orcs who were causing trouble in the Eastern Kingdoms.

Lordaeron believes that the orc prisoners should be imprisoned in prisoner-of-war camps funded by the Alliance. The Kirin Tor supports this approach. The mages can take this opportunity to study the orcs and the strange magic they use. Only by knowing ourselves and the enemy can we better deal with future wars.

Eventually, the Alliance unanimously agreed to the prisoner-of-war camp plan, and Danath Trollbane was in charge of the orc prisoner-of-war camp. Later, he delegated some power to some meritorious human veterans, such as Aedelas Blackmoore who picked up Thrall. If the prisoner-of-war camp runs well, it will be kept; if it can't be maintained, all the orc prisoners will be killed. Although the prisoner-of-war camp plan has proved to be very successful, Gilneas feels that this behavior is just a waste of time. It has already cost a lot of money to rebuild Stormwind. Why should we spend money to prolong the life of the enemy now? As Gilneas's pockets gradually became "empty", they left the Alliance.

Nethergarde

Khadgar earned the title of Archmage for his heroic deeds in the war. He was worried about the land being eroded by fel energy. After investigation, he found that even though the Dark Portal had been destroyed, the evil energy of Draenor still affected Azeroth through an indelible rift.

Khadgar and other mages reported this discovery to the Alliance and warned the tribe: As long as the rift is still there, the tribe may invade again! He also hoped that the Alliance could fund the construction of a fortress so that the mages could have a base to control the spread of evil energy.

A fortress named Nethergarde was built, where Khadgar monitored the movement of the evil energy. He would often think: What is the orcs' homeland like? What is the situation of the escaped orcs now? It won't be long before he sees the answers to these questions with his own eyes.

Thrall is the son of Durotan, the chieftain of the Frostwolf clan, and his mother is Draka. When he was still a toddler, he was found and adopted by Aedras Blackmoore from the bodies of his parents. After the Second War, Blackmoore was the commander of Durnholde Keep, a prison for orcs. He gave the orc orphan the name "Thrall", which means "slave" in human language. He was raised by Blackmoore's maid, Clania Foxton, and formed a cross-species friendship with her daughter, Taretha. Thrall was trained to be a gladiator. Years of training gave him both the bravery of orcs and the cunning of humans. He quickly became an outstanding gladiator and won a steady stream of wealth for Aedras. Prince Arthas Menethil also came to Durnholde to watch his gladiator fights.

During a training session, Thrall encountered a car of captured orcs passing through Durnholde. One of the orcs mistakenly thought Thrall was a human captive. He broke free and came to rescue Thrall, and told him to escape in Orcish. However, Thrall only understood the Common Language and did not understand what the orc wanted to express. In the end, the orc was beaten to death in front of young Thrall.

This incident quickly changed the smart Thrall, and Blackmore's behavior gradually sounded the alarm for him. Taresha had been secretly keeping in touch with Thrall through letters. After losing a game, Thrall was physically punished by Aedras. Unable to bear it any longer, he told Taresha about his plan to escape.

Taresha created a riot in the castle to distract the guards, allowing Thrall to escape. However, Thrall was then captured by another orc internment camp run by Major Lorin Rimka, where he met the old orc Kel'gar, who told him about Gul'dan's fall and the glorious past of the Horde. He also told Thrall that only Grommash Hellscream's Warsong Clan still embraced the Old Way. Another orc told Thrall that Blackmoore had arrived at the camp and was searching for him, so Thrall had no choice but to continue his escape and embark on the road to find Grommash.

After finding Grommash, Thrall proved his strength and stayed with the chieftain. Grommash taught Thrall the orcish language and judged that he was from the Frostwolf Clan through the clothes left by Thrall. After staying with Grommash for a while, Thrall decided to leave temporarily and go to the Alterac Mountains to find his roots.

Thrall was exhausted after a long journey and was eventually rescued by the Frostwolves. In the camp, he met Drek'Thar, who told him about his life. Thrall lived in the Frostwolves, and Drek'Thar taught him the ancient ways of the orcish tribe, and told Thrall the stories of the orcs before Gul'dan's fall, as well as their homeland and the homeland of the Frostwolves - Frostfire Ridge. After officially becoming a member of the clan, a Frostwolf named Snowsong chose to become Thrall's hunting partner. Soon after, Drek'Thar began to give Thrall new training.

Thrall experienced his first soul journey in his life and forged friendships with the earth, air, fire, water and wild spirits, becoming the first new shaman after Gul'dan's fall. As the first shaman accepted by all spirits since the time of Drek'Thar, it meant that all spirits finally forgave the orcs who abandoned the ancient path and threw themselves into the arms of the devil, and it also showed that Thrall would become a groundbreaking hero.

Then a mysterious visitor appeared in the camp, who used words to provoke Thrall. In the end, Thrall challenged him and defeated him in a duel. At this time, the mysterious orc revealed his identity - Orgrim Doomhammer, the chieftain of the tribe. After Orgrim learned from Drek'Thar that Durotan's son had returned, he decided to come and test Thrall's ability. Facts proved that Drek'Thar was right. Thrall also became the second person to defeat Orgrim (the previous one was his father Durotan).

Orgrim appointed Thrall as his deputy and formulated a plan to liberate the orc prisoners. According to the plan, Thrall disguised himself as a tortured prisoner and sneaked into the camp, and demonstrated his shamanic abilities to the other orcs. Inspired by the shamanic ways, the orcs regained their confidence and quickly captured the camp. They followed this method and took down three camps in succession. Before the fourth camp, Thrall's identity and tactics had been exposed, so the new tribe had to attack it by force. When they captured the fifth camp, human knights from Durnholde were stationed there. The orcs faced more fierce resistance. During the attack on this camp (now located in the town of Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands), Orgrim Doomhammer was pierced from behind by a knight with a lance and died in battle. Before his death, he left the Doomhammer and black plate armor to Thrall, and appointed him as the new warchief of the tribe. [11]

Thrall's first move after taking over was to attack Durnholde. He secretly met with Taretha, who had been forced to become Blackmoore's mistress. Thrall asked her to leave Dunnholde with her family, but Taretha refused, fearing that Blackmoore would find out about her escape and punish her. When Thrall arrived at Dunnholde with the Horde army, he saw a drunk Blackmoore. Thrall proposed a truce to Blackmoore to avoid unnecessary bloodshed. Blackmoore was emotional, first teasing Thrall for being in power, then angrily rebuking his request for a truce, and then grieving Thrall's betrayal. Thrall reiterated his ultimatum of surrender or death, and Blackmoore threw out Taretha Foxton's head, claiming it was his response to the traitor. The furious Thrall launched a general attack. Blackmoore, who was forced into a desperate situation, finally came to his senses. He tried to persuade Thrall to obey the Alliance. Thrall, who had been overwhelmed by Taretha's death, finally gave the human lord the final blow. Before his death, Blackmoore believed that he was the one who made Thrall what he is today, and showed a proud expression.

Eventually the orcs won, and Thrall spared Blackmoore's deputy, Lord Karamin Langston, to deliver his message to the Alliance: liberate the remaining orcs and cede land that the tribe can survive. If so, the new tribe will coexist peacefully with the Alliance and trade for mutual benefit. Otherwise, the Alliance will face an unprecedented enemy - a new tribe that has broken free from the control of the warlock. He then let the sergeant and the surviving humans leave Durnholde safely, and gave Taretha's necklace to her parents. When they left completely, Thrall summoned the spirit of the earth to destroy Durnholde Castle.

Thrall then composed a song, "lok'vadnod" (meaning "Hero's Song"), to celebrate Taretha's sacrifice.

During the liberation of the orcs, Thrall learned of the whereabouts of the orc Eitrigg, and planned an attack on Stratholme to rescue Eitrigg from execution. However, Eitrigg was rescued and treated by a human. Thrall then found them, and Eitrigg reminded Thrall of Durotan. Eventually, Thrall accepted Eitrigg into the new Horde and released the human who saved Eitrigg's life, Tirion Fordring, which shocked him.

Thrall and Grommash worked together to gather the scattered members of the Horde. Then Thrall had a strange dream while in Arathi Highlands. He dreamed that the army collapsed, the sky was burning, and a mysterious voice warned him of the impending danger.

When Thrall woke up, he realized that this was not a dream, but a world from a mysterious prophet. The prophet warned Thrall through riddles that he was no longer the orc with humanity, and the only hope to save the orcs was to leave Lordaeron and sail to Kalimdor, where the tribe would find its own destiny.

Thrall followed the prophet's guidance and called the tribe to plan to go to sea. Later, Thrall rescued Grommash who was captured by humans. Hearing Grommash's proposal, Thrall led the tribe to leave the Eastern Kingdoms on the ship stolen from humans and sailed towards the forgotten continent of Kalimdor.

On the way to Kalimdor, Thrall's ship was hit by a storm near the Great Whirlpool and was forced to take refuge on a small island. Here the orcs met the troll leader Sen'jin, who asked the orcs to help the Darkspear trolls fight against the human outpost. During this time, Thrall reactivated the healing spring on the island and discovered that the volcano was active. After destroying the human leader, the orcs, trolls and humans were besieged by murlocs who tried to hunt for sacrifices for the ritual.

Thrall was captured by the murlocs and was about to be sacrificed to the sea witch Zarjira. Thrall finally escaped through the power of the shaman, but still failed to rescue Sen'jin in time. He witnessed the death of the troll leader in a bloody ceremony. Before his death, Sen'jin foresaw that his tribe would follow Thrall into glory and honor. Then Thrall accepted the Darkspear trolls and made them part of the tribe in return for their kindness and trust in the orcs.

After leaving the cave, Thrall met the sea witch Zarjira. In revenge for Thrall destroying her altar and her followers, the sea witch cursed Thrall and his army to be swallowed by the sea. At that time, Thrall's ship had not been repaired yet and could not sail, and the volcano was about to erupt. The sea witch gathered a large army of murlocs to besiege the tribe. Finally, with the help of the trolls, the tribe army blocked the murloc's offensive while the ship was being repaired and left before the island sank. When leaving, Zarjira told Thrall that the tide of darkness was coming and would swallow everyone, and he would have nowhere to escape.

When the Horde fleet arrived in Kalimdor, many people were already dying, and the tribe was scattered. Thrall could only gather people on the shore, but he never waited for Grommash. There were many strange creatures on this new continent, and the most savage of them were the centaurs who were hostile to the tauren.

Thrall defeated a group of centaurs attacking the tauren, and was warmly welcomed by Cairne Bloodhoof, the chieftain of the Bloodhoof clan. In return for Thrall's noble act, Bloodhoof promised to assist the orcs in finding their own destiny. When Cairne learned that his village was under siege, Thrall's army joined Cairne in defending the tauren's homeland.

In order to ensure that they would not starve again, the Tauren needed to abandon their homeland and settle in Mulgore, where there was plenty of food. Cairne proposed that he could tell Thrall the location of the Oracle, but the orcs must protect the Tauren's caravan to Mulgore. Thrall agreed to this condition, and he helped the Tauren to go on the expedition smoothly, protecting them and the kodo beasts carrying the baggage from the attacks of the centaur raiders.

Eventually, Cairne told Thrall that the Oracle was located at Stonetalon Peak, and thus the Horde and the Tauren became an alliance.
