My Rebirth and the Strange Adventure of Black Zhen

Chapter 314 Malkorok Offends Valeera (Part )

Ever since the Horde landed in Hillsbrad Foothills, the battle situation has often exceeded Orgrim's plan. But as soon as the Horde entered the Alterac Mountains, the god of luck finally smiled at Orgrim. It was definitely not a mockery of fate! King Perenolde of Alterac actually betrayed the Alliance. Fearing the Horde, Perenolde made a simple deal with Orgrim: as long as the Horde left Alterac, the human garrison here would let the Horde pass smoothly.

When the Horde finally arrived at Tirisfal Glades, Orgrim immediately ordered his tired soldiers to launch a fierce attack on Lordaeron!

Besiege the main city

When Turalyon realized that the large number of Horde troops that suddenly withdrew were going to attack Lordaeron, he immediately led his army to chase them at full speed. He originally thought that the Horde would have to fight for at least a few months in Alterac Mountains before reaching their destination, and by then the Alliance reinforcements would have been ready in Lordaeron. But Turalyon did not expect that Alterac would not only betray the Alliance, but also act as a guide for the Horde.

Orgrim admired the courage and determination of Terenas, the King of Lordaeron, who was fearless of life and death and led his troops. Unfortunately, these humans would soon be defeated by the Horde. Orgrim watched with satisfaction as the walls of Lordaeron became weaker and weaker, and the despair in the city became more and more intense. As long as the reinforcements from Quel'Thalas arrived, the city would fall. But the question was why there was no news from the three clans, Dragonmaw, Stormrage, and Twilight's Hammer, which should have arrived long ago?

When Turalyon led his army to attack, the balance of victory slowly began to tilt towards the Alliance. The orcs' forces were dispersed, and other Alliance troops had already begun to march towards Lordaeron. At this time, the Horde must capture the city as soon as possible. Finally, Orgrim finally waited for the Dragonmaw Clan and the bad news they brought:

Gul'dan has betrayed the Horde, and the Stormrage and Twilight's Hammer clans follow him to Hillsbrad Foothills in search of the orc fleet.

After learning of Alterac's betrayal, the Alliance blocked all the ways the Horde could mobilize reinforcements from the Hinterlands. At this moment, Orgrim knew that the defeat of this war was a foregone conclusion. The Horde was only one step away from a complete victory, but now it has lost everything because of Gul'dan. The Warchief ordered the siege to be cancelled and the army to withdraw to Khaz Modan. At the same time, a Dragonmaw Messenger was sent to convey the retreat order to the Horde army in the Hinterlands. Although the possibility of reversing the decline is very small, Orgrim must fight with all his strength.

The Horde retreated smoothly under the cover of the dragon riders. The Blacktooth Grinning Clan was sent by Orgrim to hunt down Gul'dan. The warchief had forgiven him before, but he would never do so this time.

Gul'dan did find the location of the tomb and brought it to light from the bottom of the sea. With his most trusted subordinates, Gul'dan opened the door of the tomb and began to search for the whereabouts of the Eye of Sargeras. However, he failed to find the artifact he hoped for, but was torn to pieces by the brutal demons who had arrived in the tomb long ago following the remaining dark magic of Sargeras. His people were also retaliated by Doomhammer and slaughtered. In the last moments of his life, Gul'dan realized that he was just a puppet fooled by Sargeras and acted as an accomplice.

The road to becoming a god

As soon as Orgrim left, Gul'dan gathered all those who might help him reach the Tomb of Sargeras. He told everyone his plan and claimed that anyone willing to follow him would gain great power after the success. "Whether you want to go with me to find great power, or join the war between the Horde and humans, make your own choice!"

In addition to the Twilight Hammer and the Stormrage clan who strongly supported Gul'dan, the Amani trolls and the Dragonmaw clan did not participate in this adventure. In the end, the Dragonmaw clan went to join the Horde army and reported Gul'dan's betrayal to Orgrim. Gul'dan's "God-making Squad" drove the Horde ships docked in Hillsbrad Foothills and headed for the Tomb of Sargeras, but they were soon caught up by the Blackfang Grinning Orcs.

Gul'dan was facing more than just the threat of Blackfang's Grin. Kil'jaeden was furious when he found out that he had been deceived by his former servant, but Sargeras stopped Kil'jaeden's plan of punishment. Gul'dan destroyed the victory that the Burning Legion and the Horde could easily obtain, so Sargeras planned to let Gul'dan experience firsthand what "easy to obtain" meant.

Tomb of Sargeras

As Gul'dan's fleet approached the Tomb of Sargeras, he was overjoyed by the energy emanating from the tomb. Gul'dan and his followers worked together to lift the tomb out of the sea. Just as the warlocks were about to enter the ancient tomb, the Blackfang Grinning Clan came to kill them. So Gul'dan left Cho'gall and Twilight's Hammer to hold back the enemy, and led his men to rush to the "future".

In addition to Sargeras, Aegwynn also imprisoned many demon followers in the tomb. During the long years of imprisonment, these terrifying creatures became more and more powerful because they absorbed the remaining power of Sargeras' incarnation. Just as Gul'dan and his followers were searching in the tomb, the demons suddenly attacked from the shadows under the command of Sargeras. Gul'dan, who was blinded by greed, was skinned alive, and his screams resounded throughout the tomb.

The few survivors cut off Gul'dan's powerful head when they escaped from the tomb. Cho'gall and the Twilight's Hammer suffered heavy losses under the fierce attack of the Blackfang Grinning Clan. The seriously wounded ogres and their followers fled to the sea and were blown by the strong wind to the unknown sea in the west.

After successfully completing the mission, the Blackfang Grinning Clan set sail eastward with the stolen Skull of Gul'dan. The warlock who brought corruption and betrayal to the orcs was rotting in the tomb.

Liberating Khaz Modan

The tribe lost its fleet and could not escape by sea, so Orgrim had to lead the remaining troops to escape to Khaz Modan. The dragon riders sent to investigate the Blackfang Grinning Clan brought back comforting news: the rebellious orc warlock was dead.

After losing more than half of its troops, the Horde could never win. If the dwarves and gnomes suddenly rebelled, the war situation would be disastrous. Orgrim immediately sent a messenger back to Draenor for help. Regardless of whether the bloodthirsty orcs who hurt each other were ready or not, they had to come to the battle! When the Great Chieftain led his troops to Blackrock Spire, he left Kilrogg in Khaz Modan. In addition to controlling the dwarves and gnomes, the Bleeding Hollow orcs also had to delay the offensive of the Alliance army. As a valuable fighting force, the dragon riders of the Dragonmaw Clan were transferred to Blackrock Spire by Orgrim together with Alexstrasza.

Lothar saw that the Horde had been badly damaged, and what he had to do now was to pursue the victory. Turalyon and other paladins treated the wounded soldiers day and night and boosted morale. The Alliance army heading south successfully liberated Khaz Modan, and the two major races, dwarves and gnomes, were eager to join the Alliance and take revenge on the enemy!

Battle of Tidefall Island

The Blackfang Grinning Clan, who were preparing to join the Horde army, met the Admiral on their way back, and the battle was just like the previous one: first Daelin Proudmoore beat the orcs in various ways, and then the dragons used flames to burn the Alliance ships. But this time the Admiral got reinforcements - the Griffin Knights.

After the disastrous defeat at Quel'Thalas, the dwarves took advantage of the griffins' speed and developed a set of tactics specifically targeting dragons. The dragon riders were pinned down by the griffins, and the Horde fleet, which lost the protection of the dragons, was soon sent to the bottom of the sea by the admiral. In the end, Rend and Maim led several ships to flee the battle in a hurry, and the dragon riders were also beaten and fled.

Admiral Daelin finally destroyed the Horde Navy as he wished, but he also paid a painful price: the flames of the red dragon destroyed the command ship and his beloved son. Sorrow and hatred formed a festering wound in the admiral's heart: kill all the orcs.

Siege of Blackrock Spire

The Alliance army marched straight along the Burning Plains, and the soldiers surrounded the Horde strongholds tightly. Grim Batol's dragon cavalry had not yet arrived, and there was no sign of Blackfang Grimlock and Draenor reinforcements. The current bad situation made Orgrim despair, but he quickly crushed this negative idea. The chief of the tribe would never give up fighting. This war was not for fame and fortune, but about the survival of the orcs!

I know we are suffering defeat and retreat, and our numbers are dwindling rapidly!

I know that Gul'dan's betrayal has caused us heavy losses, but you must remember that we are still orcs, we are still the Horde!

Our footsteps will make the world tremble, we will step on their corpses and rule their land once again!

Orgrim kept inspiring the Horde soldiers in Blackrock Spire. Facing the Alliance army, thousands of orc soldiers followed Orgrim and roared to charge. This suicidal assault caught the Alliance off guard. The Warchief knew that he could not defeat the Alliance army, but he had his own plan: humans and orcs had the same leader worship complex. If Lothar could be killed, the determination and fighting spirit of the human coalition would immediately collapse. Orgrim rushed to Lothar and started a world-shaking duel with him, so that soldiers on both sides stopped to listen to the sonorous music played by swords and hammers.

Finally, after Doomhammer smashed Lothar's sword, it also smashed Lothar's head along the arc. As the lion of Azeroth fell, the orc army's offensive became more fierce, and the human soldiers drowned by the green "tide" had only grief and despair in their eyes. But Turalyon did not let negative emotions affect his actions. He picked up the broken sword, and the blazing holy light burst out from his body and the broken sword. All the humans and orcs present turned to avoid the dazzling light, and even the surrounding black stones were pale in Turalyon's reflection.

"In the name of Holy Light, you do not belong here! You will pay for the damage you have done to this world!" The broken sword burst out with the power of Holy Light and knocked down Doomhammer. Turalyon knocked Orgrim unconscious with the sword and encouraged every Alliance warrior present:

We must stand tall like Lothar. Now is not the time to waver. We must continue to fight! For Azeroth, for the Alliance, for Lothar!

The Alliance soldiers inspired by Turalyon rekindled their hope. Turalyon led his army and quickly defeated the orcs. They captured Orgrim and the remaining orcs alive with chains, waiting for the Alliance leader to decide the fate of these invaders.

Destruction of the Dark Portal

Some Horde soldiers, led by death knights such as Teron Gorefiend, fled to the Dark Portal, hoping to survive only if they returned to Draenor. Turalyon and the Alliance pursued them relentlessly, and eventually caught up with the remaining Horde in the Black Marsh. Although Teron and other death knights were unable to defeat Turalyon, they still managed to hold back the enemy with their necromancy, allowing the remaining Horde forces to pass through the Dark Portal.

No one could guess what kind of crisis was hidden on the other side of the portal, and the exhausted Alliance soldiers could not be allowed to take any more risks. At this point in the battle, there was only one thing left: destroy the Dark Portal.

Under the leadership of Khadgar, many mages dismantled every magical energy line of the Dark Portal, and the Dark Portal that brought pain and sorrow to Azeroth turned into dust in the explosion of energy. The Alliance soldiers who had witnessed the tragic death of their relatives and friends and the destruction of their homes fell to their knees, sobbing with excitement in their hearts: The Alliance won!

The split of the tribe

Talon returned to Draenor with the news that "the Horde had lost". When Khadgar destroyed the Dark Portal in Azeroth, the arcane energy that flowed back caused the Dark Portal on Draenor to explode. The orcs of Draenor could no longer escape from this dying world.

The orcs' long-term "efforts" ultimately left them empty-handed: Draenor was devastated and full of wilderness, with no prey or enemies, and what awaited them was a slow death in hunger. Because of their bloodthirstiness and bellicosity, the number of orcs has been greatly reduced, and it won't be long before they kill themselves.

Those orcs who remained in Azeroth were not having an easy time either.

The rest of the tribe members live in groups or walk alone. Eitrigg is one of these "lone wolves". After the tribe was defeated, he often thought of Garona's warning to him, and his loyalty to the tribe gradually faded. The formation of the tribe did not bring salvation, but led the orcs into the abyss of despair and depravity. Eitrigg's idea now is simple: find a place to die peacefully.

cost of war

Unlike the tribes that were struggling, humans, dwarves, gnomes and high elves were all immersed in the joy of victory after the war, but they also had to face a harsh problem: life could never go back to the way it was before.

The rulers of the human kingdoms agreed to combine their resources to rebuild their homes. King Terenas of Lordaeron helped Varian Wrynn rebuild Stormwind. If Stormwind, which had been reduced to ashes, could be reborn, what else could not be restarted? However, many refugees were unwilling to return to their dilapidated homes. Rather than the sadness brought by the change of things and people, they decided to start a new life in Lordaeron. In the end, Turalyon personally escorted Varian and some Stormwind refugees back to their hometown to rebuild the Kingdom of Stormwind together.
