Hiding in Hogwarts as a professor
Chapter 7 Interview
Turwell expected that his status as Durmstrang's student would be an obstacle, but he did not expect that it would directly become Dumbledore's biggest doubt.
You can't say that you are greedy for his magic stone...
"Study," his mind was racing, but Tver still maintained a gentle smile, "I have no intention of slandering my alma mater, but Durmstrang's research on certain magics is a bit behind."
"So I want to come to Hogwarts and learn the knowledge I am missing while serving as an assistant."
Dumbledore leaned forward, his slightly narrowed eyes full of edge.
"But, as far as I know, you rejected Hogwarts seven years ago and chose the magic school farthest from home in Europe."
"Now seven years later, you have decided to return to Hogwarts, which makes it hard for me to believe that you wanted to study."
"What's more, Durmstrang's courses are not bad. At least they are enough for you to live in the magical world."
Dumbledore's meaning is obvious. You chose Durmstrang in the first place, and now you are deliberately trying to return to Hogwarts, especially after Durmstrang graduates.
He was not at ease about Tver's purpose.
Tweel's smile suddenly faded.
It seems that the gentle Dumbledore just now is an illusion, the pressure of landslides and tsunamis is coming, and now the one who shows his sharp edge is the real number one white wizard!
He had expected that there would be difficulties in today's interview, but he didn't expect that they would appear so soon.
Fortunately, he still has a card - the book.
Turville calmly took out his wallet from his pocket, used the flying spell to find the book, and then handed it to Dumbledore.
"I am indeed here to learn magic, for the deeper magic recorded above."
Quirrell, who was standing by, saw Dumbledore's eyes narrow slightly, showing an expression of surprise, and he couldn't help but stretched his neck out of curiosity.
But Dumbledore tilted the book up at an angle where he couldn't see the content.
The only sound in the principal's office was the sound of Dumbledore turning pages. Turville had been observing Dumbledore's expression and ignored the surprised Quirrell next to him.
Dumbledore's expression was as Tweel expected. He was first amazed by the content on the first page, and then unconsciously turned to the next page, showing an expected look of disappointment.
But Dumbledore obviously didn't have his brain controlled like Tweel. On the contrary, he noticed it immediately.
"This book has a very... peculiar magic," Dumbledore paused and smiled as he looked at the students. "The statement above is also very interesting, but I don't think a wizard like you can see through this. The naivety of the statement.”
This is a normal reaction. Tver chuckled lightly and pointed with his finger at the words that reappeared on the first page.
And that name - Rowena Ravenclaw.
Dumbledore's smile froze on his face, and his breathing stopped for a second. As his smile gradually disappeared, Tweel relaxed.
After a long time, Dumbledore exhaled a long breath and said, "I need to borrow this book for a while, is that okay?"
"Of course," Tver said, having already memorized the entire book. "Is it okay if you just don't know my reason?"
"Hogwarts welcomes everyone in good faith, Foley. I need to know if you have the ability to become a professor in the school, even an assistant."
Dumbledore put the book down, but covered the words with his hand. Quirrell could still only see some letters.
Turville took out the wallet again, "If you need my transcript from Durmstrang——"
"No, I talked with Principal Karkaroff about that, and he was full of praise for your expertise."
Dumbledore restrained Tver's movements with a serious expression, which instantly reminded Tver of the time he met the examiner during the exam.
So the next sentence is the question of the exam.
"I need to know what kind of content you will teach in school, and to ensure that you will not bring Durmstrang's connivance of the dark arts to Hogwarts."
This is an interview. Tver relaxed. He had already prepared for this.
"I applied for the position of teaching assistant. Do I also need to be responsible for the school's courses?" Tver looked at Quirrell expectantly.
He still maintained an interest in teaching students, especially the famous Harry Potter.
Before Quirrell could stammer a word, he was interrupted by Dumbledore.
"I have discussed with Professor Quirrell, and he is happy to hand over students including third-year students and below to you."
Quirrell was not angry at all for being interrupted. Instead, he smiled again.
"Yes, I would...be happy...to have someone to share the work with."
"Then, I would like to ask Professor Dumbledore, how do you think we can defend ourselves against black magic?" Tver raised a smile on his lips and watched with interest as Dumbledore also laughed.
The question was simple enough that Dumbledore would not refuse, so he had no intention of waiting for the answer.
"It's an attack." Tver crossed his hands on the table and leaned forward slightly to look into Dumbledore's eyes. "As long as you defeat the enemy, you can naturally defend against any dark magic."
"Mere offense cannot defeat the enemy."
Dumbledore was indeed moved. He had a reason to improve his students' fighting strength.
This is exactly why Tver came.
"That's a matter of course. Before attacking, it's also important to learn how to defend."
"Can you believe it? Half the staff at the Ministry of Magic can't cast a decent Ironclad Charm, let alone master the art of combat."
"So, I will teach the students how to avoid danger and defeat the enemy as much as possible in the Defense Against the Dark Arts course."
"Not only when facing dark magic, but also when facing enemies with malicious intentions."
Tver looked at Quirrell who was watching the show, "Do you think so, Professor Quirrell?"
"Of course...of course," Quirrell was stunned for a moment by Tweel's sudden question, "But we...can't teach...black magic."
Twil sighed. Due to Durmstrang's tolerance for dark magic and the appearance of the previous Dark Lord, people were always hostile and misunderstood towards the school. 7K妏揩
"This is always a misunderstanding. My alma mater not only teaches black magic, but also teaches us how to resist black magic. If you don't understand, how can you resist it?"
"This is why I agree with you to become an assistant teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts. I hope you can use your understanding of dark magic to teach students in the correct way." Dumbledore nodded approvingly.
Tver showed a surprised smile, "So, my interview was successful today?"
"To be precise, it was very successful."
Dumbledore stretched out his hand to shake Turville's hand again, but looked at Quirrell.
"Quirinas, please go back first. Tver and I still have something to talk about."
