Hogwarts Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Peter
Chapter 15 Gabriella Andonova
Chapter 15 Gabriella Andonova
A gigantic creature was racing across the dark blue sky toward the castle, growing bigger and bigger.
There was a burst of exclamation among the students, and the teachers also looked up at the behemoth.
It was only when the dark object grazed the treetops of the Forbidden Forest and was illuminated by the lights of the castle that it was seen to be a huge powder-blue carriage.
It was as big as a house, and it was drawn in the air by twelve silver-maned horses with winged backs, each as big as an elephant.
The carriage flew lower and lower, and was landing at an extremely fast speed. The students standing in the first three rows hurriedly retreated.
With an earth-shattering bang, the horse's hooves fell to the ground with a bang, and in the blink of an eye, the carriage also fell to the ground, and the huge wheels vibrated.
Soon, the car door opened, and down the golden steps stepped a huge woman with a delicate olive face, black hair combed back, and thick fingers covered with gorgeous gems.
Dumbledore began to applaud, and the others followed suit.
The woman came towards Dumbledore, and when she got close to where the teachers were standing, Peter saw that she was taller than she looked, even taller than Hagrid.
"Dear Madame Maxime," said Dumbledore, "welcome to Hogwarts."
"Dumbledore," Madame Maxime said in a low voice, "I hope you are well."
"Very good, thank you," said Dumbledore.
"My student—" Madame Maxime said, waving her huge hand towards the carriage.
Eleven or twelve male and female students stepped down from the carriage. All of them wore delicate blue silk robes, wrapped their heads tightly with scarves, and were shivering from the late October evening wind.
"Is Andonova here?" Madame Maxime asked.
"She will come any moment," said Dumbledore, "would you rather wait here to meet her, or go in first to keep warm?"
"Let's keep warm," said Madame Maxime, "but those horses—"
"Hagrid, our teacher of the protection of magical creatures, will take good care of them," said Dumbledore.
"My steed needs a strong person to take care of it..." Madame Maxime said suspiciously.
At this moment Hagrid squeezed out from the ranks of teachers, trotting courteously to Madame Maxime.
"This is Hagrid." Dumbledore introduced, "He is the best expert on magical animals, and he will definitely take good care of your horse."
Hagrid kept nodding his head, looking eagerly at Madame Maxime, with a smile on his face. And Madam Maxim felt relieved when she saw Hagrid's huge figure.
"Very well," Madame Maxime said, bowing slightly, "Then I'll take care of you."
Dumbledore also bowed slightly, and stretched out a hand to invite Madame Maxime into the castle.
Madame Maxime walked up the stone steps, and her students followed, and the people of Hogwarts made a passage for them.
The night returned to silence, and people eagerly waited for the arrival of Durmstrang and his party.
The air is getting colder and colder, and some students are already shivering.
Just then, there was a muffled rumbling sound from the black lake, like a giant vacuum cleaner moving along the river bed.
People looked at the black lake one after another, the water surface was turned up with billowing waves, a large whirlpool gradually emerged in the center of the lake, and the lake water seemed to be boiling.
Then a long black pole rose from the center of the vortex, and the sail rigging was revealed.
It was a big ship—
This big ship is magnificent, it rises slowly from the lake, and the lake water rushes down the hull.
Its portholes shone with a dim, gray gleam, giving it the appearance of an ancient sunken ship.
Finally, it was fully surfaced and bumped towards the lake shore. After a while, a plank was laid on the shore.
The boats began to disembark, and when the first woman came into the light, Peter saw her clearly.
It was a tall young woman, although, of course, she was not overly tall like Madame Maxime.
This woman is fair-skinned and elegant, with flaxen curly hair, and her brown eyes are looking at the castle in front of her calmly.
A cloak of smooth silver and white fur glistened around her shoulders, held in place by a delicate silver buckle of Durmstrang's head.A black lapel-collared suit with gold thread peeked out from under the cloak, in stark contrast to her complexion.
Like Madame Maxime, she was walking towards Dumbledore, so she was getting closer and closer to Peter.
Peter looked closely at her face, which had delicate features and looked no older than thirty, and he couldn't help wondering why the stern Durmstrang had such a young female headmaster.
"Professor Andonova," Dumbledore took her hand and bowed slightly, "How are you doing?"
"Very good, I'm fine, thank you, Professor Dumbledore." Andonova said with a bow.
Her voice was pleasant, but there was a hint of embarrassment in her tone, as if she didn't quite adapt to such a scene.
Dumbledore invited Professor Andonova and her students to enter the castle first, followed by the teachers, followed by the Hogwarts students.
Peter noticed that among the Durmstrang students, a boy with a somewhat uncoordinated gait, with a striking aquiline nose and two thick black eyebrows, walked at the head of the student line.
Peter recognized that it was the Bulgarian star Viktor Krum who showed his skills in the Quidditch World Cup. He really didn't expect Krum to be a student at school.
The Hogwarts students at the back of the line were already chattering. Some of them jumped up and down, trying to see what Krum was doing; Tom's signature.
Peter is not a Quidditch fan, and he has passed the age of being obsessed with stars. His curiosity is still on the headmistress of Durmstrang.
He whispered to Professor McGonagall beside him about the headmistress.
"Professor McGonagall, do you know the situation of that Professor Andonova?"
"A little bit," said McGonagall, "I happen to know her parents."
"You knew her parents?" Peter's curiosity was heightened.
"It's not considered acquaintance, it can only be regarded as knowing..." Mag's eyes suddenly dodged a little, as if he regretted mentioning about Andonova's parents.
"Did she become the headmaster of Durmstrang at such a young age? Or is she actually just the headmaster's agent or something..." Peter threw out the biggest question in his heart.
Professor McGonagall whispered in a mysterious tone: "Gabriella Andonova is the youngest headmaster ever in Durmstrang. She has shown amazing talent in the black arts. Some even Think she's the next Gellert Grindelwald."
