The Urban Dao Child

The moon rose in the sky and Dao Yin came to the serene gardens. She met Yang Dao there. The young man was gazing at the moon, seemingly lost in thought.

The girl with snow-white hair came and stood beside him and asked, "What are you thinking about?" as she leaned against him slightly.

Yang Dao placed his arm around her waist as if it was natural for the two of them. The family members watching this sight from the distance could not help but sigh at the romantic vibes these two scattered around, it was overwhelming for the others.

Yang Dao ignored the eyes and said, "I want a sibling, pill refining alone will not be able to cure mum."

Dao Yin smiled and said, "You can use the elements. Did you forget your new memories?"

Yang Dao chuckled and said, "No, it was just, that the method of treatment will need us to work together."

Dao Yin nodded and said, "I will help. Don't worry."

Yang Dao looked at her face and said, "Your voice is so sweet to hear, Yin."

"It is only for you, Yang." said the girl.

The two people stood in the garden for a few minutes before they returned to their room. Yes, Yang Dao was going to share the room with Dao Yin. This was a trick of the old women in the house to push things ahead and have the girl bear a child.

However, that was not possible as the Dao Children had become aware of their true identities. The next morning, Yang Dao was addressed in a silver-white hanfu with blue trims, while Dao Yin was donning a sapphire blue robe with white trims. It was a couple's attire, made to match each other.

The two smiled at the smiling maids as a greeting as they reached Yue Ling's room hand in hand. They knocked on the door and a voice sounded from inside, "Come in."

Yang Dao pushed the door open and walked inside, Yue Ling was sitting in front of the mirror combing her hair. Dao Yin walked beside her and took the comb. She said, "Mother, we have a gift for you."

Dao Yin called her, Mother, this made Yue Ling freeze up. She asked, "What did you call me Child?"

"Mother," replied Dao Yin in a smaller tone as she blushed. Yang Dao said, "Mum, can you not be in awe like this. We have a gift for you."

Yue Ling asked with a smile, "What gift is it?"

She was very happy for Dao Yin to call her mother. Yang Dao said, "In the coming future, I will have to leave you all for a longer duration of time, so I and Yin came up with a massage treatment last night, this is my gift to you."

Yue Ling raised her head and asked, "What sort of gift is this?"

Yang Dao sighed in exasperation. His mother would never stop asking questions. Dao Yin said, "Mother, you just sit in the chair and let us work, do you trust us?"

Dao Yin evoked the emotional blackmail card as soon as she came to meet the eternal wall of questions.

Yue Ling thought about it, she will just let her daughter-in-law do what she wanted on her first day. She nodded and sat down on the chair. Dao Yin sat down near her feet on a stool while Yang Dao stood behind her head.

Then the two placed their hands on the feet and the head respectively. What they were going to do was to rearrange Yue Ling on a cellular level. They were going to rectify the signs of the old wounds in her body and also construct the missing pieces she needs to be perfectly healthy.

However, they were not going to temper her cultivation and spirit root. Last night the two people spent their whole time, talking about this only, in the end, they came to this conclusion. After all spirit roots and cultivation realm were taboo things to temper.

The treatment began and the two people coordinated to adjust the elemental constituents in Yue Ling's body. It may sound easy, but it was not, even for the Dao Couple. The time passed and Yue Ling began to feel unwell. To maintain the balance, the elemental source of energy was being circulated in her body. This movement was making her feel unwell. Yang Dao said, "Mum, tolerate, only for a few minutes more. You will be fine then."

Yue Ling let out a low humm, the pain in her viscera was too much and more than that she could feel something pouring out of her pores. It was the contaminated blood and impurities of her body that were caused by the injury that made her like this.

However, the stained blood was not allowed to fall on the ground but it was all being collected into a blob in the void. It took the two youths an hour to cleanse the body and also strengthen it as well.

After they were done, Dao Yin asked, "Mother, how do you feel?"

The physical effect of the treatment had made Yue Ling's age regress to the peak of her youth. She was a beauty unmatched by a lot of people and was comparable to Feng Yun and Laohu Bai after the treatment.

Yue Ling replied, "I feel really well. the whole body is lighter." as she moved her hands.

Yang Dao said, "Mum, the treatment is not yet complete. You sit still."

Yue Ling nodded and after noting the fine sweat drops on the foreheads of the two, she asked, "Do you not need to take a break?"

Dao Yin shook her head and said, "No, mother, we were sweating from nervousness, not physical strain. You can relax."

Yue Ling smiled and nodded to her before leaning back in the chair. Yang Dao gave the girl a thumbs up. She just used the Dao Resonance to have the lady comply with her.

The second stage began. Yang Dao and Dao Yin controlled the elemental source energy inside the body to dismantle the defective organ inside the body. They made sure that the process go on with minimal pain.

Yue Ling was sweating and shivering, from the source of the pain, she could tell what was happening to her. She could guess what these two were doing, after all, she was aware of their skills to control the five elements.

While the mother was going on with the pain because she loved how the two people were trying their best, Dao Yin was going on because she wanted her mother to be well. She was a child who did not receive motherly warmth, in both lifetimes.

Not only Yue Ling did not shun her away for being a demon, but she also did love her as if she was her own child. Yue Ling fulfilled the void she had always faced as a child.

As for Yang Dao, he was an orphan, he was given love by Sister Tina and then Yue Ling. Both the women were selfless to him, they never asked him for anything. This feeling made him feel guilty. In the past life, he helped Tina with all the money he had, but now, in this life, Yue Ling suffered a lot from giving birth to him.

He wanted to make up to her. He wanted her to feel good about herself. It was an unspoken truth but Yue Ling had always thought inferiorly of herself. A woman was capable of creating a life inside her, and nurturing the child into a grown-up person was something words could not explain. So, when the lady, who has always made sure that he was smiling, would frown in secret. He did not want that.

In childhood, all the children think that having toys and friends is the bliss of life. As teenagers they rebel against their parents, thinking that what they say is just wrong. However, when they grow up, and sire children of their own, they realize that the pains their mother took were too much. They realize their value.

Holy Land is not where you get to climb the sky-high peaks of success, but it is where you can be at ease and where you have someone to care for, someone like your mother.
