The Urban Dao Child

While Dao Yin was moving through the starry skies with the old demon. Yang Dao was called to the Gathering hall of the Yang Family. What nobody expected was for the Dao Child to walk in holding a bowl of noodles and flickering chopsticks.

Yang Ji asked in exasperation, "Yang Dao, do you not know that it is forbidden to eat inside the gathering hall of the family?"

The chowing boy stopped and raised his head, he asked, "Big Gramps you never told me this."

He pushed the blame to his big gramps who wished to puke blood. Sect Master Sun, Sect Master Balor, Sect Master Lysa, and the other two sect masters of the Pentagon were also present at the scene, while they found it amusing to see Yang Dao's antics, the family wanted to find a hole and hide in it.

Sun Eckhart said, "Dao, are you not full yet?" his tone was gentle as he sat on a guest chair.

"Ummm, well fine, Master, you should try some food, my fourth aunt makes the best noodles." replied the boy as he took the bowl back into his space ring. He stood quietly.

Yang Ji said, "Your deduction saved the domain from being ravaged by the Daemons, the surrounding families have sent in gifts. You can ask for what you want." as he gestured towards the pile of goods.

Yang Dao skipped over and gazed at a few things and then said, "Big brother Tian, do you not need a new sword? This one suits your attribute as well..." He began to distribute things from the pile to everyone in the family.

Lyssa raised her eyebrow and asked, "Young Paragon, why do you not select anything for yourself?" she could not help herself.

Yang Dao stopped and said, "Senior, I have everything that I need, my sword is fine, and my armor is fine. I do not think I need any herbs or spiritual treasures, so I give them to those who can use these things better."

Lyssa could not help but be astonished at his selfless behavior. However, Yang Dao never took anything that could not hold his attention and none of these things could. When everything was done distributing, Sun Eckhart said, "I apologize for the disruption, but we need to depart now. The envoy of the White Tiger Holy land has arrived in our sect."

The five sect masters stood up abruptly. Sun Eckhart said, "Elder Jing, Elder Chime, you can bring the children back later. I will go and address the envoy."

Elder Jing nodded and after exchanging a greeting nod with Yang Ji, the five sect masters vanished from the place. Yang Dao was surprised and asked, "Elder, what is going on?"

Elder Chime replied, "Envoy of the holy land is more like the invigilator of the upcoming duel you have with the champion from Red Moon Sect. He will be taking the winner to the holy land after the duel is finished."

Yang Dao was surprised and so were the others. However, they were not shocked as the sect masters had briefly told them about the circumstances. The family was aware of everything, Yue Ling had watery eyes and Yang Dao rushed to her side. He sighed and said, "Mum, if you kept crying like this, you will grow old. Then Athena will mistreat you. Look at grandma, she looks so young and pretty who dares to say bad things about her. Do you not wish to be like her? Look at Gramps and big gramps, they look so old, Big brother Tian could not wait to have them retire and embezzle the patriarch seat."

Yang Tian said, "You Brat."

The family members, that were sad chuckled at this. They were aware that he was trying to lighten the mood. Yue Ling shook away her gloom and said, "You better not go looking for trouble."

Yang Dao stuck out his tongue and after he said farewell to everyone Elder Jing and Elder Chime took him away with Alisha and Athena. The ship flagship of the sect had the staff operating it. So, it will get back to the sect later.

Inside the elder hall of the Sovereign Sect, a man wearing a white robe sitting on the throne of the sect master and Sun Eckhart stood beside him. The man had an arrogant expression on his face. None of the people were allowed to sit when he was present it seemed. The man was about to say something when the void cracked.

An old man and a young girl appeared in front of everyone. Sun Eckhart spotted the old man and bowed as he said, "Greetings Elder Baracus."

The Old Man replied, "Greetings Sect Master Sun. Forgive the intrusion."

Sun Eckhart shook his head and was about to say something to dispel the formality when the man in the white robe said, "So you are the old demon from Red Moon Sect?"

The Old Man nodded and replied, "It is me."

The white-robed man asked, "Who may be your champion?"

Baracus said, "Dao Yin, step forward."

The little girl stepped forward and the people were surprised, however, only the white-robed man was shocked. He asked, "Why is it that you send forward a young girl? Have you decided to give up the seat in the holy land?"

Baracus shook his head and said, "That is not the matter, Dao Yin is the strongest youth in our school."

His words were like drums and gongs in the heart of everyone from the pentagon, they could not help but recall a smiling devil doll of their own. The man in the white robe said, "Seem like, with your age your school has declined." he did not give anyone a chance to react and asked, "Sun Eckhart, where is the champion from your school?"

At this moment the void cracked and Elder Jing and Elder Chime appeared with Yang Dao. Athena and Alisha were dropped outside beforehand, they were not yet good enough to step inside the elder hall. Sun Eckhart said, "Yang Dao, come forth and greet the Envoy."

"Dao Yin." replied the girl gently, her previous cold was gone like it never existed.

Yang Dao smiled and said, "I am Yang Dao. Nice to meet you."

The girl returned a smile to him, and then Yang Dao said to the envoy, "You think we are arrogant? Let me ask you, how strong were you when you were ten? Okay, almost eleven? We speak with skills to back us. Do not fly close to the sun for you may burn, do not look at the sky for you may stumble, learn to do on others what you wish for them to do to you, the world will be polite to you if you are humble."

Dao Yin said, "Well said."

Yang Dao chuckled and said, "I borrowed them from my grandma."

The envoy was sitting at the throne shivering but he had to admit, he was left speechless.
