The Comprehensive Evolution of American Comics
#845 - Finish
Approximately three minutes later, the Flash, the fastest member of the Justice League, arrived at the scene. The first thing he saw was the Young Justice team sitting outside the entrance of the New Star Amusement Park.
To his relief, although the kids looked disheveled, none of them seemed to have any obvious external injuries.
The one in the best spirits was Kid Flash, who jumped up and down excitedly upon seeing the Flash, and proudly pointed to a bound and unconscious naked man nearby.
The Flash approached and immediately recognized the person. Wasn't this Typhoon, the one Batman had mentioned? It seemed these kids had taken care of this troublesome guy on their own.
By the way, the ropes binding Typhoon were actually Plastic Man in disguise. The Flash was startled when the ropes suddenly formed a face as he got closer.
A few seconds later, the other members of the Justice League began to arrive at New Star Amusement Park, with Superman leading the charge, as he was the fastest after the Flash family.
Upon arriving, Superman glanced at the kids slumped in their chairs, then immediately went to check if there were any hidden dangers within New Star Amusement Park.
Following him, the rest of the Justice League members arrived one after another, along with medical personnel for the night to provide treatment.
After examination, none of the Young Justice members had suffered serious injuries. Superboy was a bit listless due to the mind control, but with his half-Kryptonian physique, he could recover with sufficient sleep.
Robin was in a similar state. This was his first time commanding such a dangerous and demanding mission. He didn't feel much during the mission, but once it was over and he relaxed, all sorts of reactions came. In short, the mental stress was too much, and he also needed rest to recover.
Aqualad was somewhat exhausted, having mobilized water beyond his capabilities at once, completely draining his body. It was decided that Aquaman would take him back to Atlantis to receive treatment more suitable for Atlanteans.
Next were Courtney and Happy. Compared to the previous few, these two were considered seriously injured.
Courtney's act of manipulating a large amount of cosmic energy was undoubtedly dangerous. No one knew if the massive cosmic energy would pose a risk to her body. Although nothing special had been found so far, follow-up medical examinations were needed just in case.
As for Happy, his injuries were more severe. Unlike Courtney, who used the staff to mobilize cosmic energy, Happy relied on his own internal electric organs to generate energy.
According to the examination, Happy's electric organs had suffered mild damage, and it would be impossible for him to use this ability again in the short term.
Moreover, unlike Courtney, Happy was not protected by the staff, and some stray cosmic energy affected him. Looking at the long list of medical tests, it was estimated that he would be hospitalized for a long time.
However, Happy definitely couldn't go to a normal hospital as a metahuman, so he was arranged to be treated inside Mount Justice. In other words, everyone in Young Justice except Aqualad would be treated inside Mount Justice.
It was easy for superheroes to expose their identities in hospitals, and besides, some superheroes' genes couldn't be leaked. Therefore, Batman paid the most attention to medical facilities when building the base. As the Justice League's previous base, Mount Justice's medical system was ridiculously comprehensive.
And these medical facilities could be operated solely by Cyborg. His brain was connected to the internet, and he could find corresponding solutions for any difficult and complicated diseases, and then prescribe the right medicine.
Thus, after the Justice League arrived, the scene was handed over to them, and Young Justice was transferred back to Mount Justice for treatment and rest.
For Kid Flash, this was a great arrangement. It was like taking your best friends to summer camp, but he soon realized that everything wasn't as perfect as he thought.
Simply put, he was the only one on the team who wasn't negatively affected. Even Robin said he was too tired and would talk about anything tomorrow.
So, after only running back and forth a few times, not even enough for a warm-up, Kid Flash could only hide in his room and play games alone, to avoid disturbing the injured.
Whether it was playing around or mission reports, everything would have to wait until the next day.
The next day, Dick had a rare lie-in, not getting out of bed until almost noon. When he walked into the living room, Conner was already sitting on the sofa.
Dick was about to greet Conner, but the latter spoke first.
"You're awake. Batman told me to tell you to go to the training room if you woke up. Oh, and he also told you to eat something before you go."
Dick said he understood, turned around, and first went to the kitchen to grab milk and toast from the refrigerator, added a slice of ham, and casually ate something before going to the training room.
As soon as the training room's automatic door opened, Dick saw Batman, fully armed and with a cold face. He always seemed to be like this, always like a sharp sword stuck in the ground.
"I thought you were going to sleep a little longer," Batman said.
"Slept enough," Dick scratched his head. "So, what's up? What did you want to see me about?"
"Some mission-related matters."
Dick thought that it was just as he expected. As long as he wore the Batsuit, Batman only had serious matters. Many Justice League members felt that Batman seemed more like a robot than Cyborg and Red Tornado.
"Robin, you performed well in yesterday's capture of Typhoon, fully utilizing everyone's strengths and placing them where they should be. This is commendable."
Dick scratched his head and said, "I didn't expect that."
According to Dick's understanding of Batman, the latter could always point out a bunch of problems at any time. In the past, he always liked to pick out Dick's loopholes in action. It was indeed very rare for him to directly praise him like this.
"If you do something right, you should be praised," Batman explained, as if seeing Dick's surprise.
"Although there were still some loopholes in your actions this time, the merits outweigh the flaws. It is already very difficult to achieve this level in such an emergency. Even I wouldn't pour cold water on you at this time."
'So you know.'
Dick rolled his eyes in his heart, but still maintained the poker face inherited from the Bat-family.
"Then what? You didn't call me here just to praise me, right?"
"Of course not just for that," Batman nodded. "I still have some details of your actions this time that I need to ask about, and there's also something about Young Justice that I want to tell you."
"Uh? What is it?" Dick asked.
