#310 - Green Arrow and Fast Hand
Yang Le arrived in Star City two days after his separation from Billy. Because he arrived at night, Yang Le could only find a parking lot to rest temporarily, which is one of the more painful aspects of traveling in a motorhome.
The next morning, Yang Le drove straight to the largest supermarket in Star City. After two days of driving, his supplies were almost exhausted, and replenishing them as soon as possible was his top priority.
Looking at the long string of numbers on the receipt, Yang Le felt that he should find a suitable job. Unlike his time in Marvel, the DC universe has Cyborg, a superhero connected to the internet 24 hours a day. If Yang Le were to engage in any abnormal information activities, he would be caught immediately.
It would be unwise to antagonize the Justice League for such a small amount of money. Although he couldn't profit in the simplest way, other alien heroes could help Yang Le make money.
For example, Four Arms possesses technology related to transportation. To say nothing else, just a single engine would be enough for Yang Le to make a fortune. However, Yang Le didn't plan to start his own company. He preferred to sell the technology to others and profit from it.
And in Star City, there was a good partner: the wealthiest family in Star City, the local tyrant Queen family, whose leader was none other than the Green Arrow, Oliver Queen.
Visiting and collaborating could be done together, truly killing two birds with one stone. Yang Le felt that his brain seemed to have become smarter, perhaps because he frequently transformed into XLR8.
After settling on a plan, Yang Le was about to search for the location of the Queen family or Queen Industries, but the sudden sound of an explosion indicated that Yang Le didn't have to bother.
"Boom!"
The explosion kicked up dust and smoke. Green Arrow, standing high above, didn't relax after a successful strike. He skillfully drew an arrow from the quiver on his back, nocked it on the bow, and slightly drew the string, aiming at the billowing smoke not far away.
"If you ask me, there's no way he's getting up after that," said a young man standing next to Green Arrow, who looked very similar to him, with the same bow and arrow and the same mask, but the color of his uniform was the opposite of Green Arrow's. The young man wore a red uniform.
"Don't let your guard down, Speedy," Green Arrow reminded his assistant. "Even if the enemy falls, you can't relax. If you can do that, you're half a superhero."
Speedy curled his lips, but still obediently drew an arrow from his back, aiming at the smoke like Green Arrow. In his opinion, he had already learned about 70 or 80 percent of his adoptive father's skills, but the fact that the other party still didn't let him graduate was simply nonsense.
Moreover, his adoptive father's caution was, in his opinion, superfluous. Since he debuted as Speedy, he had never encountered an enemy who could stand up again after being knocked down, let alone one who had just taken two explosive arrows head-on. Even if the opponent was a superhuman and wouldn't die, they definitely wouldn't be able to stand up again.
As if to respond to Speedy's thoughts, the billowing smoke had dissipated by half, and there was still no abnormality.
Seeing this, Speedy completely dropped the vigilance he had raised after Green Arrow's reminder. He loosened the bowstring and was about to speak, but at that moment, an unexpected change occurred.
A purple figure suddenly darted out of the smoke, moving extremely fast. Normal people's eyes could only see a blurry purple shadow.
Green Arrow's eyes narrowed, and he immediately drew his bow to its full extent, shooting out the long-awaited arrow. The arrow flew like lightning, heading straight for the purple shadow. Speedy was shocked and hurriedly nocked an arrow, but he was a step too slow.
Who would have thought that the purple shadow would neither dodge nor evade, but would run straight towards the arrow. Just as the arrow was about to make contact with him, the purple figure lowered his body and slid on his knees, dodging Green Arrow's arrow.
The arrow shot by Speedy, which followed closely behind, was also casually knocked away by the purple shadow. This was because Speedy wanted to keep up with Green Arrow's pace and block the opponent's escape route, but because of his momentary carelessness, Speedy's speed was a step slower. He had no choice but to sacrifice strength and speed, shooting the arrow without fully drawing the bowstring, which was why it was casually knocked away by the opponent.
Because of his momentary carelessness that led to the failure, Speedy felt a great sense of shame in his heart, but before this feeling could continue to grow, Green Arrow's words arrived.
"Focus on what's in front of you," Green Arrow said, his expression unchanged, as if nothing had just happened. "When you're fighting, just think about fighting. Don't let anything else affect the arrow in your hand."
"Yes," Speedy gritted his teeth and immediately drew another arrow from his quiver, nocked it on the bow, and began to pre-aim, determined to personally make up for his mistake.
After calculating the opponent's speed, Speedy once again shot the arrow in his hand, but it missed. Speedy didn't believe it and shot arrows continuously, but either they were too slow or too fast, and none of the arrows could hit the opponent, far less accurate than his first arrow.
Green Arrow sighed secretly. He was still a young man after all. Although his comfort was quick, the other party was still affected. It seemed that Speedy's physical and technical training was sufficient, but his psychological training was far from adequate.
Green Arrow was multitasking, and the thoughts in his head didn't hinder his movements at all. He skillfully bent his bow, nocked an arrow, and shot it out, heading straight for the purple figure, who had already run to the bottom of the supermarket roof where they were standing.
But Green Arrow's arrow wasn't actually aimed at the purple figure. The arrow landed two or three steps ahead of the purple figure, and the arrowhead suddenly exploded after touching the ground, with a large net spread out on the ground.
A few sparks of electricity flashed on the tail of the arrow and then quickly filled the entire net. The purple figure didn't notice for a moment, and one foot stepped straight onto the net.

"Aaaaaaaah!"
Electric snakes quickly crawled all over the purple figure's body, and the muscles were out of control due to the electricity. The opponent could only fall to the ground weakly, with his whole body touching the electric net. After the electricity was used up, the purple figure could only fall to the ground weakly, twitching occasionally.
Green Arrow was as cautious as he said he would be, and shot another arrow, which this time unfolded not far from the purple-skinned man, turning into an even larger net and pouncing on the purple-skinned man. Looking at the thickness of the rope used to weave the net, one could tell how strong the net was.
"Even Superman would need a second to break free from this net," Green Arrow smiled self-deprecatingly, shot a grappling hook, and jumped down with a safety rope. Speedy next to him also jumped down silently behind him.
"Parasite," Green Arrow walked up to him and said the opponent's name. "Why didn't you go to Metropolis to find Superman? What are you doing in Star City?"
