Spoiling History: Starting from the Three Kingdoms
Chapter 693: Limitations of the Times
Sure enough, Dai Sigong had a feeling that this was indeed the case.
After all, when it comes to Song Ci, who else can be mentioned?
Although he is an imperial physician, he has also read the Collection of Cleansing of Wrongs with great care.
When the prosecutors read this book, they focused on the key points of corpse examination and the identification of methods of death. But for Dai Sigong, this book involves the identification of the bones of women and children, the classification of bone injuries, internal injuries, and the dissection of corpses. Pathological differences are quite useful.
But now, looking at this book from the perspective of future generations, Dai Sigong feels that he has gained something.
For example, if later generations admire Song Ci's prison terms, shouldn't medical practitioners also have something similar?
The young man also summarized the advantages of the "Redress of Injustices" very clearly. Dai Sigong wrote them down one by one and thought about calling them "professional auxiliary books".
Combined with the "division of labor" that was very hard to hear before, Dai Sigong felt as if he vaguely saw a shortcut that would be famous throughout the ages.
Zhu Yuanzhang was not very interested in this, but when he turned around and saw his sons all thoughtful, he felt happy in his heart, so he simply ordered the one with the most serious expression:
"Does Lao Wu get anything?"
As a result, Zhu Di interrupted with a smile:
"Dad, my brother is busy, why don't you ask me."
Tomorrow Zi immediately laughed and cursed:
"If you want to be a general, what's the use of these things?"
But what Lao Si said was correct. Zhu Rui was thinking very seriously.
"Of course it works!"
Zhu Di nodded thoughtfully and said:
"The division of labor is correct. The elites in the army often only specialize in one area. Only in this way can they defeat the enemy without any disadvantage."
"And now that I know that later generations will call this kind of forensic medicine, I feel that most military doctors in the army can do the same. I asked someone to set up a charter and write a book that after reading it, you can become a military doctor."
Zhu Yuanzhang nodded in surprise. What his son said... really made sense. Then he turned to his eldest son.
Zhu Biao said clearly:
"In his later years, Song Tixing summarized the gains and losses of his life and wrote this book."
"And as Song Tixing said, the ignorance of officials that makes the people suffer is not unique to prisons."
"Daddy, don't you want to compile the "Hongwu Grand Canon"? Why not start by asking experienced officials to collect all the gains and losses."
"Whenever there is a job, collect dozens of articles on the pros and cons of managing things, and then summarize them..."
The look of satisfaction in Zhu Yuanzhang's eyes almost overflowed:
"Good, this matter can be summed up by Biao'er, and when it comes to the foundation of the country, it should be summed up by farming."
Zhu Di was puzzled by his teeth. He was obviously not interested in medicine and agriculture, but why did he feel an indescribable feeling when he heard the name "Hongwu Dadian"?
…
In Xuchang City, Liu Bei looked at the light curtain and thought about it, and then asked his military advisor:
"Song Ci is a really good official, and just by listening to the introduction, I can tell that this collection of redress of wrongs is also a good book."
"But the steps before and after..."
Before Kong Ming could speak, Pang Tong smiled and said:
"Of course my lord is familiar with it, because now the order of the work in our workshops and farming is also based on formulating the regulations first, then summarizing the key points, and then printing them into a book and then spreading them."
Liu Bei suddenly understood and nodded repeatedly:
"It is indeed a good method. Kong Ming has never had any suggestions from later generations, but he can still achieve it. He is worthy of being my Crouching Dragon!"
Kong Ming shook his feather fan and was afraid to accept this title:
“Secret methods such as sugar, paper, and glass were all discovered by later generations.”
"The plans for the workshop are all finalized by the Lord and Gong Yanshi Yuan."
"It was Zhang Ziqiao who took the lead in educating the people to literacy. It was Zhong Zichu who took the trouble to manage the trade routes in Hefang City."
"The details of each workshop and farming process, as well as the summary of taboos, are all recorded by the common people."
"What do all these things have to do with Liang? What merit is there?"
Liu Bei and Pang Tong laughed, Guan Yu stroked his beard and said:
"We haven't seen each other for three years, but the military advisor is still busy with everything but unwilling to take any credit. That hasn't changed."
Regarding Guan Yuzhi's words, Kong Ming sighed:
"Without the generals who fought bravely to kill the enemy, how could Liang live in Chengdu and guide the country?"
Zhang Fei was already familiar with the mutual humility between his brother and his military advisors, so he simply poked the prime minister beside him:
"Mengde Mengde, Zhang Ziqiao and Liu Zichu..."
As a result, before Zhang Fei could finish speaking, Cao Cao said firmly:
"I don't know."
Zhang Fei slapped his legs and laughed:
"I haven't finished speaking yet, why are you in such a hurry?"
I just want to say that Zi Qiaoguo is a great talent in Yizhou, and Zichu can also be called a talented person in Jingzhou.
Cao Cao was silent, but his face clearly showed some regret.
…
In the Manlu Hall, Li Shimin looked at Sun Simiao who was writing vigorously:
"Sun Yaowang, everything Guangmu said just now is recorded in Dengshan's words."
"It is better to combine them and leave the theory of forensic medicine to Taichang Temple and Dali Temple..."
Before Li Shimin finished speaking, Sun Simiao said anxiously:
"My current residence is next to Tingwei Prison. It is easy to access and all I see are people who are familiar with autopsy and injury examination. It is suitable for me to write a work on forensic medicine!"
[The Collection of Clearing Wrongs is of great significance in forensic science, and is also a significant event in world history.
However, it still has distinct characteristics of the feudal era.
In the last issue, we mentioned that science in the Song Dynasty could only exist as a vassal of Neo-Confucianism, and the same was true for forensic science.
Classical views and thoughts are sacred and inviolable, and research is overly dependent on sensibility and intuition and is too subjective. These shortcomings are also found in the Collection of Abandoned Wrongs.
For example, Volume 3 of the Collection of Cleansing Wrongs, Bone Examination, begins with a clear purpose:
"There are 365 bones in the human body, corresponding to 365 days in a year."
This number is obviously nonsense. After all, even if you count the nails and teeth, the total number of bones is still far from 365.
If you look back at history, you will find that this number was not proposed by Song Ci.
The "Shengji Zonglu" compiled by Emperor Huizong of Song clearly records that "the number of bones in the human body is 365, corresponding to the number of one period."
Looking back further, Dong Zhongshu's "Chunqiu Fanlu" said something even more mysterious:
It is said that 365 bones correspond to the number of days in a year, the bones are divided into 12 major sections, corresponding to the number of months, the five internal organs of the body correspond to the five elements, and the four limbs of the human body correspond to the four seasons.
And going back to the Han Dynasty, "Huangdi Neijing" has clearly recorded that "there are also 365 bones in the human body."
So do you say that Song Ci didn't know that there are not 365 bones in the human body? He must have known.
But if you don't write it this way, it's like you deny Song Huizong who ordered the compilation of Shengji Zonglu, deny Dong Zhongshu, a great Confucian scholar, and even deny Huangdi. In this way, Xiyuan Jilu may not be published, and it may be a problem whether it can survive.
Of course, according to our modern research, Huangdi Neijing should have been completed by the continuous additions of talented people from the pre-Qin Dynasty to the Western Han Dynasty, and it has nothing to do with Huangdi.
In addition, there are other low-level fallacies in the bone examination chapter, such as "male bones are white, female bones are black";
For example, "male ribs are twelve on each side, eight long and four short, while female ribs are fourteen on each side", such as "male wrists and iliac bones are all with bi bones, while females are all without", etc.
But behind these, Song Ci instead described the difference in the shape of the male and female pelvis in great detail, which is in sharp contrast to the low-level fallacies such as the number of ribs and the total number of bones.
It can only be said that the most important part of the views and experience summary of "Xiyuan Jilu" did not fall into the rut that the classics had already drawn, so that Song Ci could record his life experience without restrictions.
Ancient people had far more opportunities to contact corpses than modern people. Simple questions such as the total number of bones and the number of male and female ribs can be known at a glance.
However, the wrong conclusion can be regarded as a criterion for more than a thousand years, which can be regarded as another perspective to show us the limitations of backward times. 】
