[Comprehensive] The Wizard and the Fugitive

Chapter 21 Hours Before the Engagement

There were only the three of them in the dining room, the butler Bartha Romo did not show up, and a house elf prepared everything.Draco ate quietly, listening to Allen talk about his and William's childhood.

During the whole meal, Alan was basically talking, and William listened distractedly. Anyway, Alan's story was not about recalling his childhood, he always focused on Draco's reaction.

"...He has been like this since then, he doesn't care about anything, treats everyone the same, and doesn't like to talk to people. But don't care, he knows who is good to him and who is not good to him, he knows very well." Ai Len looked at Draco and said, "Be patient with him."

Draco shrugged: "He's easy to get along with, he took care of me when we were in England."

Allen stared into Draco's eyes, raised one corner of his mouth and smiled in a low voice: "Well, it seems that your relationship is closer than I thought."

The dining room of Schiller's house is very large, with a ceiling 20 meters high, and the surrounding ancient and heavy relief glass windows are all closed.

William put the knife and fork unbearably, and looked at him with a frown: "What do you want to do?"

"Don't get excited." Allen raised his hands innocently: "I'm just asking, I wanted to make an appointment for you, but now it seems unnecessary."

William's face darkened: "I came back because you are getting engaged."

Allen nodded happily: "That's right, Miss Petrovic and I will get engaged here in three days. Anna Petrovic, do you remember her?"

William shook his head as a matter of course, and Allen smiled, not surprised, he knew that William would not remember, if Anna hadn't insisted on getting the answer from William, he didn't even want to ask this unnecessary question.

"Get engaged, don't do unnecessary things." William glanced at Draco, and the boy immediately hinted that he had finished eating and was willing to get rid of the weird atmosphere here at any time, so he stood up: "We will leave here immediately after attending the ceremony ,I promise."

Allen smiled and stared into his eyes: "You always say what you say, I trust you."

William nodded, led Draco to leave the table resolutely, and said as he walked out: "Draco and I will leave first."

"Wait." Allen stopped them: "There will be a welcome banquet for you tomorrow night, don't be late."

William frowned and turned around, and saw Allen sitting alone in the huge dining room, looking more and more like a frail patient under the soft light of thousands of candles. But then he knew that this was just an illusion. Allen was never weak, and the other party's dark eyes stared at him unquestionably, making him clear that this was not a discussion but a notification.

"He's kind of... weird." Draco said deliberately on the way back to the room.Allen looked at him like he was thinking of something bad, but it was definitely not innocent, and it made people uncomfortable anyway.

William shook his head: "Leave him alone. We'll leave in three days."

"where to?"

William laughed and rubbed the boy's hair: "Don't you like it here? Why don't you have fun before the Quidditch World Cup starts. The north of Norway is much more interesting than the south. We will set off in three days and go to the Lofoten Islands."

When they returned to the second floor, Bartha Romo was waiting at the door with two newly made dresses in his hands. Allen had already prepared everything for tomorrow's banquet.William took the clothes without waiting for him to salute, and pointed to the corridor with his chin: "You can leave now."

Bartha Romo received William's impatient subtext, his smile remained unchanged, he bowed respectfully, stepped back quietly, and quickly disappeared into the darkness at the end of the corridor.

The next day, members of the Schiller family arrived one after another, and every familiar or unfamiliar face rushed to William's side, getting close to the most mysterious black wizard in continental Europe.Draco sat far away in a quiet corner, admiring the unbearable gentleness on William's face.

He found that William's patience with the Schillers was obviously not as good as that with Muggles. In London, even in the face of Mrs. Hudson's handkerchiefs, William could gossip with them all afternoon without changing his face. But now, he was getting impatient after being surrounded by Schillers and pouring compliments for half an hour.

"You are Malfoy?"

A clear voice interrupted his thinking, Draco turned his head, and saw a little girl standing by the sofa, judging by her size, she should be under 11 years old.Seeing that the visitor was just a child, Draco softened his expression and replied, "I am."

The little girl came around and sat down beside him: "I'm Angela."

She didn't say her last name, but she knew it must be Schiller anyway, and everyone except Draco was Schiller.Guests from other Nordic families would come over at night, and before that, the Schiller family had their own party.

"Are you Uncle William's boyfriend?" Little girl Angela raised her head and asked straightforwardly.

Draco raised an eyebrow, "Yeah."

Angela sighed: "Uncle William will marry sooner or later."

Draco couldn't help laughing: "Get married?"

"Because he likes boys, I knew it a long time ago." Angela nodded pretentiously, and then sighed: "When I told Anna, she didn't believe it."

Anna? The familiar name made Draco raise his eyebrows again: "Anna Petrovic?"

Angela looked at him in surprise: "You know her?"

Draco nodded: "Isn't she Ellen's fiancee?"

"Oh..." The little girl wrinkled her face in confusion, fell silent for a while, then jumped off the sofa and ran away. This reaction made Draco puzzled, he looked towards the direction where the Schillers gathered the most, and there was William's shadow there.

"Looking for me?" A familiar voice came from behind, and Draco raised his head. William appeared behind him at some point, and no one around him looked this way, so he must have been tricked by some magic.

"Come with me." William said and pulled him up, and the two of them walked carefully through the Schillers and left the castle quietly. The wrought iron gate opened a gap, just enough for them to go out sideways.

Draco was pulled and walked on the grass, the fresh air outside eased the oppressive feeling brought by Schiller Manor, he took a deep breath, shook William's hand: "Where are we going?"

William turned around, walked backwards, and looked at him with a smile: "Go to a place where there is no Schiller."

Draco wanted to say that you were Schiller yourself, and then the childish words of the little girl Angela popped out of his mind-William was going to marry sooner or later. He silently added: Become a Malfoy. Then I was amused by my bold idea.

He laughed, and William laughed as he watched him. The laughter of the two people overlapped and spread far away in the empty mountain.William opened his mouth to say something, but suddenly he stepped on the ground and fell to the ground.

The wind blows, and the sky is close at hand.Still smiling, William stared at the slowly passing clouds until Draco's face appeared in sight, reaching out to him and pulling him up.

They walked through a pine forest hand in hand, and just when Draco felt that the trees were getting denser and denser, and it was impossible to move forward at all, the vast blue sky and white clouds suddenly came into his eyes.At the end of the forest, the mountains were cut open, and further ahead was a river and another forest hundreds of meters below. It is not far from the Schiller Manor, but there is no fog. The sky and forest seem to have just been washed, and they are as bright as oil paintings.

"I liked coming here the most when I was a child." William said and sat down on the edge of the cliff, with his legs hanging hundreds of meters in the air. "Look over there," he pointed in one direction: "That's where the unicorns are."

Draco was overwhelmed by the sight, and sat down next to William after a while.

"Over there," William said, pointing to the other side, "there's a pretty big lake inhabited by water elves. They're probably not much bigger than your hand, and they're as light as a feather."

"How did you find out here?" Draco asked.

"A person sneaked out and found it." William shrugged. When he was a child, he was not as keen on being the pride of his parents as Draco was. The Schiller family didn't like the illegitimate children sent back by their unmarried daughters from the beginning. The father in New Orleans didn't love the mixed-race son as much as the mother of the child, so he had to Use rebellion to prove that you don't care.

But the absurdity of the year also left some benefits, at least today he can bring Draco here to see the best scenery in Schiller Manor.William turned his head, and Draco was also looking at him. The eyes of the two quickly glued together, and their bodies gradually approached...

"I knew I'd find you here."

A familiar voice came from the pine forest behind, William paused, Draco had already stepped back, stood up with a cold face, and looked at the middle-aged man who suddenly walked out.The other party smiled and looked at them in surprise: "Did I interrupt something?"

William had no choice but to stand up, "Caesar."

"Long time no see, William." The man smiled at him, his eyes shifted to Draco: "This is Mr. Malfoy."

Draco nodded coldly, his attitude didn't make a difference just because this person was William's old friend. His attitude did not make Caesar dissatisfied. After the other party greeted him, he didn't care about Draco's response at all, and continued to ask William: "How long are you staying this time?"

William replied: "Three days... To be precise, it should be two days."

Caesar frowned, his originally relaxed expression suddenly changed: "You should stay."

William was amused by him: "Isn't it, you came here just for a nonsense?"

His attitude made Caesar's frown deepen, and his tone sank: "Alan is not suitable for power, haven't you noticed that the brothers who once fought with him for power are gone?"

William shrugged: "Obviously."

"Aren't you worried?"

"What are you worried about? He killed me?" William sneered, "As if he could do it."
