[HP Sirius] Sweet Potions
Chapter 011 Deep in the Forbidden Forest
The one-week investigation is drawing to a close.
Mona Faris told Ursa that she would complete the investigation report and return to the Ministry of Magic by the end of the weekend.
"I'll let you know the results when I finish the report. I won't reveal anything about the report until then," she said coldly to Ursa, "so don't bother asking, Miss Green."
The Saturday afternoon was sunny, but it did nothing to offset Ursa's nervousness.
Fortunately, Sister Baker agreed to her invitation and agreed to drink afternoon tea with her in the office to pass the time. She is very grateful to have someone to accompany her through this difficult time.
"My dad said that the Ministry of Magic has no right to meddle in Hogwarts affairs." Kathy said with a frown.
Her twin sister picked up a frosted biscuit from the plate, "Yeah, my mom knew Mona, she said she's been a total bitch since she was in school—"
Kathy shot Lisa a warning look.Lisa quickly shut her mouth.
"Don't worry, Miss Green," Cassie reassured Ursa, "you're sure to stay. We all know you're a good teacher."
"That's right, we will all be on your side." Lisa said while nibbling on a biscuit.
After the Baker sisters had gone, the office fell into an eerie silence again.
Ersa corrected the thesis for a while, and added several new ingredients to the new potion that was brewed quietly in the corner, and then she started pacing back and forth in the office, but she still felt that she couldn't restrain the restlessness in her heart.
She suddenly realized that she had no intention of leaving Hogwarts so soon. She likes everything here, including the basement classroom full of potion smell, the stairs that will sink suddenly at some point, the whispering portraits on the walls, the delicious meals that can never be enough... and the enthusiastic students.
Thinking of this, she stopped abruptly.
If she really wanted to leave here, she hoped to leave something behind. She looked at the cauldron that was slowly emitting steam from the corner, and decided to finish the potion before tonight.
But she still lacks a material, which is very rare and can only be found in the depths of the ancient forest. Her eyes looked out the window, toward the direction of the Forbidden Forest.
She knows that the Forbidden Forest is very dangerous, but she also heard that there are many rare plants growing in the Forbidden Forest, some of which are even difficult to find in the whole of Europe. In fact, she seemed to have wandered in the Forbidden Forest a long time ago, but she just couldn't find the time to do so.
After making up her mind, she gripped her wand tightly, took a few bottles of potion and went out.
She had stepped into many dangerous forests when she traveled with her father, so she was not afraid of such dark woods. She strode across the edge of the Forbidden Forest, walking along an apparently man-made path.
Soon the trees grew thicker, with outstretched branches and thick leaves blocking the sun, making the tree-lined path even darker.
"...I said this is not the right side." A voice came from the bushes on the left.
"So you're telling me how to go?" said another voice. "You said you were going to see some damn little hairy-headed monster."
"It's not a little head, it's a bigfoot, a close relative of a bighead. The one I saw was at least fifteen feet high—"
At this time, two boys suddenly emerged from the bushes.
"Look, we found the path!" exclaimed one of the boys in surprise. He has long pale blonde hair pulled back into a messy ponytail.
The brown-skinned boy standing next to him stabbed him hard in the waist, and pouted in the direction of Ersha.
"Uh, Miss Green?" The blond boy froze for a moment and subconsciously called out.
"Mr. Lovegood, aren't you?" said Erza, frowning. "—and you, Mr. Brown, what are you two doing here?"
"We—" stammered the boy who was called Mr. Brown, "we're—we're helping the . . . er—gamekeeper find a herb."
"Well, that's right. Hagrid, the gamekeeper, you know him." Lovegood said with a few dry laughs.
"I heard that students are not allowed to enter the Forbidden Forest." Ursa looked at them suspiciously, "What herbs are you looking for?"
"Colored horsetail," replied Lovegood without hesitation.
"What kind of grass?" Ersha suspected that there was something wrong with her ears.
"Colorful horsetail grass, people who eat it will suddenly have a steady stream of artistic inspiration. It is said that many Muggle painters like to use it..." Lovegood said eloquently.
Brown stomped on Lovegood's foot and gritted his teeth, "Shut up, Shano." He gave Ersa a smirk, "Don't listen to him, he's joking."
Ersha frowned and stared at them, "Anyway, this place is too dangerous and not the place for you to come."
"We're leaving now," Brown said hastily.
At this moment, Ersha suddenly felt something was wrong—she clearly felt that the ground was trembling slightly, and the dense leaves were rustling with the tremor of the ground.
At this moment, the sound of heavy footsteps came faintly from the depths of the dense forest.
"What's that?" Brown stared at Ersha's back with a pale face.
Erza turned her head sharply.
Through the gap in the dense forest, she saw a huge shadow slowly approaching here.
"Oh, that's Sasquatch!" cried Lovegood suddenly.
"What?" cried Brown, terrified.
The creature slowed suddenly, as if attracted by the shouts of the two boys.It hesitated for a few seconds, then turned and walked towards their position. Its huge body knocked down the low trees with a loud and terrible cracking sound.
A disgusting stench suddenly hit the face with the breeze.
Ursa's eyes widened suddenly, and she suddenly understood what the creature was.
"No, that's a troll!" she yelled. "Run!"
Only then did the two boys recover from their fear, they screamed and turned around and ran into the dense forest.
"No! Come back! Don't go there, come back to the path!" cried Ursa.
But the two children disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Ersha had to follow them into the dense forest. She stumbled and ran all the way, calling the names of the two of them, but there was no response.
Soon, the sound of the troll's footsteps behind him gradually disappeared.
She was slightly relieved, thinking it was a good thing the troll wasn't that fast, and he was stupid as hell.
She stopped and realized that she had inadvertently entered deeper into the forest. The trees here are denser, and the surroundings are as dark as night.
She had to draw out her wand and say "Lumos".
She continued to call the names of the two boys, crunching on the fallen leaves and walking forward.
After walking for about a quarter of an hour, she still did not see the two boys.
There was no way the two of them could have run that far, she thought to herself.Perhaps they have returned to the trail.
So she decided to go back the same way first, maybe she would run into the two of them on the way back.
She held the wand in her palm and said, "Show me the way." The wand turned in a circle and pointed steadily to the direction of true north.
After confirming the direction, she turned around and planned to return to the path from the beginning.
Suddenly, she heard a clear "click" sound very close to her, followed by a sharp pain from her shoulder.
She let out a scream and subconsciously clutched her aching left shoulder. She felt something hard, digging deep into the flesh of her shoulder.
She suddenly realized that it was actually an arrow.
She took a deep breath, pulled out the arrow vigorously, and let out a painful groan at the same time.
Panting, she took out a potion bottle from her jacket pocket, and poured the liquid on her injured shoulder tremblingly.Soon, the bleeding from the shoulder was stopped.
But at this moment, she suddenly felt a strong dizziness. She knew immediately that the arrow was poisoned.
She struggled to raise her arm, which had begun to become useless, trying to take out the antidote she carried with her, but she failed. Her arm fell limply to the ground, and the medicine bottle in her hand rolled aside.
At this moment, she vaguely heard a loud sound of horseshoes coming from nearby.
"...not our people." Just before she fell into a coma, she heard a strange voice say loudly, "...just a human..."
Mona Faris told Ursa that she would complete the investigation report and return to the Ministry of Magic by the end of the weekend.
