HP Dawn Night
Chapter 26 Three Dogs
After the Mirror of Erised and the dragon incident, this is my third night tour.
Because this time we were going to the unfamiliar Gryffindor Tower, Draco and I were very careful, and we almost walked along the wall on the ground.
"I said, Draco, so far the only three night tours I have are with you, don't you feel honored?" The unknown adventures ahead made our journey a lot heavier, I was joking , "What's more, I was locked up with you for a while because of this."
"Really?" Draco snorted because of my ignorance, "How many times have you seen the Mirror of Erised that no one else has the chance to see!"
"However, what exactly did you see in the Mirror of Erised, Draco?" I couldn't help asking curiously, Merlin, this question has troubled me for a long time!
"Concentrate on the road..."
Oh, it seems like something unspeakable?
The entrance to the Gryffindor lounge is on the eighth floor. When we climbed to the fourth floor, we decided to discuss countermeasures.
"What are we going to do for a while? Stand by the lounge door and wait?" Draco asked me.
"Honestly, I don't know..." I felt guilty.Hermione Granger and I are definitely not close friends, and even if they were, I have no way of contacting her!
I can't imagine the effect of "Old Bat Snape's Daughter" standing outside the door of the Gryffindor lounge with "Draco Malfoy who always has trouble with Harry"—
"You two evil Slytherins! What are you trying to do!"
"Please, we want to find Harry Potter."
"What? What are you trying to do to Harry? Don't run!"
……
Oh, that's enough, I'll bet a bag of Galleons that Draco and I will be in the infirmary in less than three minutes.
"It's already curfew time." Draco pulled me to hide in a shadow, not far from the stairs, the advantage is that the view is wide, which is convenient for us to hide and "escape".
"Maybe it's better if we go straight to father." No matter how I think about it, I don't think it's a good idea to go directly.Draco dragged me deeper into the shadows.
"Shh!"
I saw Peeves skipping up the stairs, tearing loose the carpet on the stairs, trying to make someone fall.
"Peeves is afraid of Barrow the Bloody Man," I whispered, "we can scare him with this."
Before Draco could answer, Peeves narrowed his black eyes that always liked mischief, as if he had sensed something, and said:
"I know you're there, even though I can't see it. Are you a ghoul, or a ghost, or a school kid?"
It soared into the air and stopped again:
"There's something invisible stalking around here, and I should report to Filch."
Do you mean us?I shuddered, and Draco couldn't help but let out a nasty snort when he heard Filch's name.
"Peeves," miraculously, a hoarse voice rang out softly, "the bloody Barrow doesn't want to be seen by others, of course he has his reasons."
Draco and I looked at each other in surprise—are you kidding me?When we left the lounge, we saw Barrow wandering lonely in the dark corridor!
But this trick obviously worked for Peeves, it was so startled that it almost fell from the air.But he stabilized his body in time and hovered a foot above the stairs: "I'm sorry, Lord Bloodman, Mr. Barrow, my lord."
"That's disgusting," Draco hissed.
"It's all my fault, it's all my fault - I didn't see you - of course I couldn't, you're invisible - please forgive this little joke of Peeves, my lord." It said sweetly, and I felt I got goosebumps on my arms.
"Are you kidding, you actually speak like a little girl like Pansy." I complained, and Draco laughed in the dark:
"Yes, dear Vio, I distinctly remember Pansy being a few months older than you."
I pinched the back of his hand hard, and Draco gasped. At this time, the hoarse voice roared again:
"I have business to do here, Peeves, don't come here again tonight."
"Of order, my lord, I will obey." Peeves rose into the air, "I hope your business goes well, Lord Barrow, I will not bother you."
It ran away quickly after speaking.
"That's not the Bloody Baron!" I said to Draco, his gray eyes shining in the dark:
"It sounds familiar to me—"
"Brilliant, Harry!" said an impossible-to-remember voice on the stairs, faintly but still heard by us.
"Weasley!" we said in unison.
"Then 'Barrow' just now is Potter!" Draco was as excited as if he had drunk a euphoria, and couldn't help jumping up, "Let's catch up quickly."
"No, wait." I quickly grabbed him and said in a low voice, "Potter and the others are invisible, but we haven't. I think it's better not to be discovered by them for the time being."
Draco calmed down, we hid behind a pillar, and clearly saw a door in the corridor opposite us creak slightly, then opened a little wider.
Draco and I hurriedly ran around the corridor towards the opposite side, but at this moment, a low growl came from the door.
Both Draco and I stopped involuntarily, and I seemed to be vaguely aware of what was waiting for us inside the door:
"Maybe we can go back, Draco, and hurry to Father."
After my visit to the Forbidden Forest I knew the stakes were high, and although tonight was destined to be exciting, I didn't want to risk myself again.
Draco's face also gradually faded, but he still said bravely:
"Go and see."
These three words are obviously not so confident.Perhaps the courage that supported him could only allow him to say so much.
We walked towards the horrible door at a snail's pace, and the barking stopped for a while, but the moment I pushed the door open--
"what--!!!"
Draco appeared just in time to cover my mouth and drag me behind his back.
It was a big, monstrous dog.The dog was so big that it filled the entire space from the ceiling to the floor, it had three heads, three pairs of darting eyes, three noses - twitching and trembling in our direction, and three drooling Drooling mouth, saliva like a sticky rope, hanging down from the yellowed dog teeth.
"It's disgusting," Draco said with forced calm.
"Let's go, Draco," I said tremblingly.
It stood there motionless, its six eyes staring at us.I know all too clearly that the reason why it has been slow to pounce is simply because—it hasn't figured out which one of us to attack first.
But what happens next, I don't want to know.
"Okay, Vio, you go out first." Draco lost interest in exploration just like me now, he pulled out his wand and pointed it at the big dog. I reached out to twist the doorknob, but found to my horror that I couldn't turn it. up.
But I didn't lock the door!I drew my wand and tried the Locking Charm, but to no avail.
"Draco!" I yelled.
"What's wrong?" He turned around.
At this moment, a deafening roar came.I automatically stepped aside, and Draco did the same.
"We're running in the opposite direction!" Draco yelled.
I stumbled over my robe, the dog's menacing roar was so close that my hair seemed to feel its fishy breath. As a result, I ignored my image and ran to the other end of the room. This trick seemed to be useful. At least the big dog temporarily slowed down the attack, as if thinking about who to attack first.
The situation couldn't be clearer now - the door is locked, and here we stand facing a vicious dog, the only weapon we have is a wand in our hand.

It's too late for visual inspection... so I can only throw it in the manuscript box~ It's still a weekly update... I hope I can make more codes before leaving home!
