16. Get caught

Dumbledore reminded him tactfully that although the sleep time of the elderly is generally shorter, they still have to sleep after all.Harry had no choice but to retreat from the headmaster's office, planning to prepare his argument on the way back to the common room. Now that he's calmed down, he realizes that not only does he have to explain to his father that he's not going on a date with his mother (for goodness sake), but he also has to explain the "secret" to his mother.

Maybe he could still trust Lily? But how was he going to hide from her that she was going to be married to this boy she hated so much, and that they were both going to die at 21?

Then his roommates jumped out from behind the stone statue guarding the entrance to the Headmaster's office, their heads to be exact, and Harry let out a very unsavory scream.

"Quiet!" Sirius covered his mouth, "Do you want to recruit Professor McGonagall? She's on the sixth floor!"

I'm sure it wasn't my fault if I brought her in.Harry nodded helplessly, made a quiet gesture to indicate that he would not yell again, and the hand was removed.

"Can we go back to the common room and talk?" he asked softly, involuntarily glancing at the Invisibility Cloak, which he remembered being crowded with three people in sixth grade.

"My father's." James said in a bad tone, "Don't even think about it, you can't get in."

"I'm not really that interested either," Harry muttered, remembering how many times Ron and Hermione had trampled on him down there 20 years later, and honestly he kind of missed them.

"You know Dumbledore!" Pedillo gasped, his voice rising in such a way that Harry couldn't help but think that maybe he thought he had found another strong man to cling to.

"Calm down, bug," Sirius sneered, "You'll make James think he's out of favor again."

"Is that 'again' really necessary?" Lupine added mildly. "I mean, did this happen more than once?"

Anyway, Harry felt a real, real need to come up with a topic before getting murdered by his father.

"Uh, where is Professor McGonagall now?"

James snorted coldly (the fact that he didn't lose his temper made Harry even more creepy), and dragged Sirius' wand over to look at the Marauder's Map, "Fourth floor, she inspected from the eighth floor , the housekeeper is on the field, it’s safe here.”

"But, uh, here are some... portraits?" Harry searched, "Won't they tell Professor McGonagall?"

"There isn't a single portrait at Hogwarts that would betray the Heist, boy," Sirius said.

Harry swallowed, "Okay."

"But we can indeed go back to the common room and talk." Remus suggested, "There is no one there now. Since we have picked up Harry, there is no need to stay in the corridor."

Harry weighed it, that is to say, if he refused to cooperate, they would not rule out the use of force?

He is very cooperative.

17. Suspicious

James sat directly opposite Harry, Sirius sat next to James, Remus observed the overall situation, and Pediru, uh, cooperated with Remus to observe the overall situation.

"You'd better answer truthfully." Sirius said with dignity, "Remember what I said, if you dare to harm my friend, I want you to look good?"

Before Harry could say anything, James turned his head in surprise, "When did you say that?"

"This is a deterrent tactic, you idiot." Sirius rolled his eyes and leaned back in his chair. "Now the atmosphere is gone, and we have to start all over again."

"But you did," Harry said, perhaps a little deliberately, and Sirius shot him a look, and James raised his eyebrows.

"That's kind of touching, Padfoot," Remus said.

"When did you say that?" Wormtail repeated James' question, and Harry couldn't quite tell who he was asking.

"Shortly after this guy appeared." Sirius had to admit, "Please, am I the only one who thinks he is suspicious? He was only enrolled in the sixth grade, and the origin is unknown——I checked the newspapers during that time, and there was nothing about the Potters. Murder—with a scar on his forehead, claiming to be weak but faster at catching snitches? Wanting to kiss Evans is the most normal thing about him."

Harry rubbed his face with his hands, why did the most disbelieving people believe that he wanted to kiss his mother?Of course he was thinking, like a chaste good morning or goodbye kiss on the cheek or on the forehead, not—forget it, he'd better not think about it.

"And he looked at us like he'd known us all his life."

"I feel the same way," Remus said.

James blinked, "Speaking of which, sometimes I think Harry doesn't like bugs very much, and I think it's an illusion."

"It's a miracle that you've discovered something." Sirius teased him. "You're growing up, boy, and maybe you'll catch up to Evans in a few months."

This is the truth.

"Ah, my head!" Harry had to try anyway, "My head hurts!!!"

18. "Exposed Identity"

The common room was silent, and after a few tens of seconds, Harry climbed back into his chair.

"And I've always thought he was faking his headache," Sirius said deadpan, and James was obviously holding back a laugh.

"That's what everyone thinks, Padfoot," Remus said sarcastically.

Harry sneered, "It's not all just pretending. I did have frequent headaches a while ago, but it will be fine after I come here."

"First question." James flicked through the long-forgotten list. "Who are you?"

"Harry Potter," Harry replied, "you know it's the real name, it's on the Marauder's Map."

"How do you know it's called the Marauder's Map?" Sirius asked.

"Well, what did you just say?"

"We didn't talk about it," Remus said. "We usually call it 'the map,' so people don't ask."

Harry thought about it, and it seemed to be true.

"Explain?" Sirius stared at him like a hound on a scent (bad metaphor).

"I can't explain it." After a few seconds of stalemate, he decided to give up. "I suspect that I can't answer all the questions on that list truthfully. You can stop this matter. Report me to McGonagall or Dumbledore." Either way, I actually feel like I've been here too long."

"You just came out of Dumbledore's," James pointed out. "You spend hours at Dumbledore's every time you go. You two know each other."

"You can say that." Harry stretched his back, and he was also a little sleepy after tossing through the middle of the night, "If you don't want to see me, I won't come back in the future, is that okay? I really want to go to sleep. "

"Then condense the questions into one." James simply put down the list. "Is this a test?"

"what?"

"We guessed it might be some kind of test arranged by Dumbledore, because obviously Professor McGonagall knew the details, and she didn't say anything, just let us experience it for ourselves." Sirius said, "We know that Dumbledore is Against Voldemort, he definitely needs a team."

"He told the students this?" Harry asked suspiciously.

"No, but everyone knows," replied James, "so maybe he asked you to test the students and pick those who passed. Since you're Dumbledore's man, you certainly have a way of fooling the Marauder's Map and the Marauder's Map." Veritaserum."

"No..." Harry was about to break the nonsense of the story when he had an epiphany, "Okay, now that you've figured it out. I'll put this, uh, in my report, you guessed it My plan. If Dumbledore asks, don't say I'm so quick to admit it."

Surprised eyes passed among the four of them in circles. After two circles, they invariably showed triumphant expressions. In order not to laugh, Harry felt that the inside of his mouth must have bitten the skin.

"Unless you tell us to grade it," James said aggressively.

"You'll have to ask him that yourself," said Harry. "Going into the Headmaster's office—getting Dumbledore to admit to his plan is also part of the test. But I might consider writing you a few words."

perfect.

19. Cheating (maybe not?)

Harry regretted it a little.

"Do you think the Marauder's Map would be a bonus?" James asked after chasing him for the tenth time. "I'm pretty sure the spells on it are beyond sixth grade..."

"Don't think about it, Fork." Sirius poured a bucket of cold water, "Since Harry knows, Dumbledore must have known."

"Oh, well." James was not discouraged. "Maybe we should tell Dumbledore about us..."

He made a gesture on the top of his head, which probably meant antlers, but Harry thought it looked more like rabbit ears.Remus quickly tapped James and showed him his textbook, which Harry suspected read "It is illegal to teach yourself an Animagus".

"What are you doing?" Lily stopped next to them with her textbook in her arms, narrowing her eyes, "Potter, if I catch you pestering Harry again—"

"I didn't!" James said, slapping his chest quickly. "Right, Harry?"

"We're fine," Harry assured.

Lily gave them a suspicious look, called Harry and left.

"But if you keep pulling me along in the corridor, everyone will know soon." Harry followed up, and hurriedly dropped a sentence.

"Know what?" Lily asked. "Is it related to the secret you said you were going to tell me last night?"

"Uh... yes." Harry said, "It's a long story, you can ask James and them for details."

Dad, I can only help you so far.

20. Sentimental

Harry was more inclined that Lily had asked Remus during the prefect's patrol, anyway, she looked at Harry with a hint of awe after a few days.Harry was sorry that the extra tutoring was gone, but it also meant his life (in his father's hands) was safe.

As for James, they made a list of passwords, and went to the stone beast on the eighth floor in pairs every day to read new ones. Harry suggested that they try more things that were sold in Honeydukes but not too sweet.

He suspected that his next conversation with Dumbledore would be coming soon.

But earlier came Saturday's substitute Seeker test, and James insisted that now that they'd let the word out, Harry had to go, and Gryffindor couldn't afford to lose face with Slytherin.Harry caught two meanings in the words: 1. He had to go; 2. He couldn't pretend to have a headache and drop his broom.

"You have to know that I can't join the team." Harry reminded, "I'm actually past graduation age, and Dumbledore won't allow me to participate."

"Anyway, everyone knows that you are not in good health." James patted him, "Fly well, Harry, we are all watching from below."

Choosing a false identity prevented Harry from explaining why he was crying all of a sudden.

However, the so-called exposure of identity also has the advantage that Harry can confidently and quietly tell others that he has received a letter from Dumbledore, asking them to cover up.

"James and Sirius showed up in my office this afternoon and asked some interesting questions," said the Headmaster, and Harry couldn't help smiling.

"Sorry, sir," he said, "they're about to find out who I am, and I can only admit the story. I know you don't see your students as recruits."

"It's all right, Harry." Dumbledore's blue eyes fixed on him. "Older people always forget that when we were young we also always knew more than our elders wished."

"They know about the Order of the Phoenix and want to help," said Harry.

"Order of the Phoenix, sounds like a good name." Dumbledore pondered, and Fox called out softly.

"Oh, I forgot." Harry scratched his head, "The Order of the Phoenix was formed after they graduated."

"I wish I could keep war out of the castle."

The old man looked suddenly tired, and Harry realized that he had told him what fate awaited these young men when they joined his ranks. He had been thinking about James and Lily's feelings, but he hadn't thought about worrying about Dumbledore.

"It's not your fault, sir," he said earnestly. "We need the Order of the Phoenix."
