[HP] Harry doesn't think it's his fault
Chapter 3
11. Agility
In Harry's defense, if you were a Seeker at about the same time you became a wizard, you wouldn't even want to catch a Snitch flying by in front of you.Come on, that's what he used to win games for Gryffindor, once he caught the Snitch in less than 5 minutes.
But reminiscing about the glory days did not make the scene before him any less tricky: James, Sirius, and Pediru stared at him wide-eyed, and Pediru's eyeballs were about to pop out.
"Did you see that, James?" Sirius said.
"Nonsense," James said.
"Harry caught the Snitch you threw." Sirius slapped his hands, "It's as easy as picking something out of your pocket."
"That snitch wasn't too fast for me to catch it." Harry wished he'd lost his voice as soon as he excused himself, and he saw James' eyes light up like Christmas lights.
12. "Poor health"
James made a high-profile publicity about this, but it is understandable that good Seekers are always the hardest to find. But Harry still couldn't help feeling that this made up for the part about being dragged out by his father to show off, and he began to understand how Cedric felt when Mr. Diggory praised him, probably a little bit of happiness and a lot of embarrassment.
"I can't, I'm not in good health." He frantically refused, "I still have headaches, what if I fall off the broom while flying?"
This had happened before, and he swallowed the sentence just in time.Harry guessed as a Muggle-born just a few months out of a coma, he should say I've never ridden a broom or anything in my life, but maybe they'd be able to tell he was lying without a looking glass .
"I don't think it's going to work. Harry hasn't taken flying lessons." Lily said, before Harry could thank her, she said, "But I think you can take this opportunity to make up. During the training, Mrs. Be there, and she will watch over you."
"Oh great Evans, I want to kiss you if you won't hit me." James rubbed his hands excitedly, pushed her aside, and grabbed Harry's shoulders with both hands, "Okay, that's it Saturday, three o'clock in the afternoon! Let's see how you fly, Harry Potter! I'm off to tell the rest of the crew we have a..."
He strode away cheerfully, and for a brief empty shot, Harry looked at Lily, who looked at the direction James was leaving, with what Harry could only describe as a "sweet smirk".She turned to meet Harry staring at her, blushing.
"What's wrong?" she asked nonchalantly.
"Just don't let him kiss you where I can see it, okay?" Harry coughed, "I'm not well enough to take this."
13. Disclosure of Confidentiality
The Slytherins laughed at every opportunity that Gryffindor had made for a crooked substitute Seeker, which was so unbelievably familiar that Harry deftly ignored them.Still, being called a "Mudblood" was a novelty, at least a little better than "Scarhead," he said.
If it weren't for Lily who couldn't help but often help, these would hardly constitute any trouble. They both knew better not to do anything to Potter, or he'd be rolling around with his head in his arms until all the nearby professors were called.
"How can you not be affected by these?" Lily asked him after pushing those guys back again, "When they call you Mudblood and insult you with your origin, how can you act like nothing happened?"
Harry stopped and looked at his mother, realizing again how young she was.The 16-year-old girl was angry and distraught, but vowed to fight the injustice of the world to the end.
"They couldn't possibly insult me with my parentage," said Harry softly. "I know I have the best parents in the world, and if that makes me a 'Mudblood,' then I'll be more than happy to accept that title."
Lily raised her eyebrows in surprise, her green eyes filled with sympathy, "I think they will be proud of you, Harry."
"Thank you." Harry had to close his eyes, resisting the sudden urge to cry, "You have no idea what this means to me."
"I regret what happened to your family."
"It's ok, that doesn't mean I won't see them again." Harry looked at the ceiling, hoping for something to save him from this rash urge, but there wasn't, "Also, I have a Best friend is Muggle-born, and she once stood up and declared herself a Mudblood and was proud of it. I think that's partly because of her."
"But you only came to Hogwarts a few months ago, didn't you?" Lily was confused. "I know all the Muggle-borns you're reading."
She knew them all, because she would surreptitiously check their locations every day at the dinner table or in the common room, seemingly unintentionally asking for the location of people who didn't show up in time, so that they could be rushed to rescue them if they got into trouble. This was the closest part of Harry's second school life to the war, and he could vaguely taste the horror of Voldemort's power.
"I want to tell you something." Harry looked into the same green eyes as his own, "Can you keep it a secret for me?"
14. Run away
Then he literally takes a critical hit.
James punched him on the head from behind him, and Harry crouched down with a groan, and now his head was really hurting.
"Potter! What are you doing?" Lily yelled, probably drawing her wand from the rubbing of her clothes.
"He...he has bad intentions for you, Evans!"
Harry's head hurt even more.
"I...I'm fine." He covered his head and stood up, "I didn't intend to do anything wrong either."
"You're going to kiss her!" Jaime yelled. "I saw it!"
"I do not--"
"So what? I can kiss whoever I want, Potter!" Lily snapped Harry's broken defense, "Do you think I'm going to date you by stopping other boys from getting close to me? I'll tell you, ha Leigh is ten thousand times stronger than you—”
She grabbed Harry by the arm threateningly, and Harry screamed and fled for his life.
15. Go chat with the principal again
Harry almost wanted to get all over his desk, but he didn't dare in his previous life, and he wouldn't dare in this life.
"Will you send me back as soon as possible, sir?"
"I've been doing my best, Harry."
"Can you kill me?"
"Although the second half of my life is not very long, spending it in Azkaban is still not a good option."
"Then can I go see Voldemort now?"
"I would not give that kind of permission to a student at school."
"But," said Harry bitterly, "I really can't go back to Gryffindor Tower!"
Dumbledore was sympathetic. "A cup of tea?"
In Harry's defense, if you were a Seeker at about the same time you became a wizard, you wouldn't even want to catch a Snitch flying by in front of you.Come on, that's what he used to win games for Gryffindor, once he caught the Snitch in less than 5 minutes.
