[HP] Riddle's Spirit Behind

Chapter 086 Frozen Magic

The man in the leather boots turned, knelt down and squeezed Eleanor's chin, forcing her to look up.

Eleanor's heart skipped a beat. The man had a large ugly dark red scar on his face, which looked like it had been corroded by something. It can be seen from the deep facial features that he was not ugly originally, but the scar made his face look hideous and terrifying.

Eleanor didn't want to stare at that terrifying face, she subconsciously turned her head away, but the other party clamped her jaw fiercely.

"Look at me, girl." He said, licking his chapped lips, and Eleanor could feel his stinky breath on her cheeks. "Do you think I'm scary?"

"Let her go," Abraxas said behind him.

The man turned and picked up Abraxas by the collar.Abraxas' face immediately turned pale.

"Want a hero to save the beauty, boy?" The man let out a sneer wheezing from his throat, and then he raised his fist and punched Abraxas on the temple.

Abraxas immediately let out a scream.

"No—" Eleanor screamed.

Panting heavily, Abraxas glared at the man, "They will find us soon...you can't escape."

"He's right," another man said nervously. "We can't keep them locked up. The Ministry of Magic will find them, because there are traces on underage wizards."

"This reminds me." The squatting man said viciously, while choking Abraxas' neck, "but as long as none of us use magic, Zongsi won't work. Obviously, I can't use magic." Can handle you, boy."

Abraxas struggled desperately from suffocation, his face flushed purple.

Eleanor couldn't take it anymore, "Stop it, you'll kill him if you do that!"

The man raised his fist and punched Abraxas hard in the stomach.Abraxas snorted, and immediately tilted his head limply to one side.

"We're going to use this kid to blackmail the Malfoys pretty badly," he said, standing up, "and then we can use the money to escape to Germany."

"But, what about this girl?"

The man lowered his head, staring coldly at Eleanor who fell to the ground.

Eleanor curled up subconsciously, and she swallowed nervously, "You can't kill me."

"Who said I'm going to kill you, girl?" He said coldly, then walked around Eleanor, stretched out his booted foot, and slammed on Eleanor's right hand.

A piercing pain made Eleanor scream and let go of the thing in her hand.

The man kicked the shard of glass aside. "This thing cuts through magic cords, silly girl."

Then he reached out and pulled Eleanor's hair hard, forcing her to hold her head up.

She felt something sharp against her throat, and she suddenly realized it was a dagger.Fear swept over her body like a tide.

"No, please, don't!" Eleanor screamed in horror.

"Oh, no," the other man said in a trembling voice, "you can't kill her, she's still a child."

"But we can't let her go." The deep and hoarse voice said in Eleanor's ear.

The sharp and cold blade of the dagger cut Eleanor's skin, and Eleanor immediately screamed in fear.

Avery was circling restlessly in the principal's office.

He stopped abruptly and glared at the boy sitting on the sofa. "You look really relaxed, Tom. Don't you worry about Eleanor at all?"

"Sit down, Avery," Tom said quietly. "You need to calm down."

"Sorry, I can't calm down at all!" Avery yelled angrily, then hugged his head in pain, "Damn, I wish I had noticed that the two of them were missing sooner!"

Tom ignored him, but turned his gaze to Principal Mellors.

"Is there still no news from the Ministry of Magic, Mr. Headmaster?"

"Yes, child." Principal Mellors said worriedly, "The Ministry of Magic will notify us as soon as it detects any fluctuations in Trace's magic."

"But it's been seven hours since they disappeared!" Avery couldn't help shouting.

"Sit down, as Tom said, and calm down, boy." Mellors said with a sigh. "It's no use getting mad at us now."

Avery opened his mouth, but didn't say anything in the end, but sat down on the sofa next to Tom dejectedly.

"They'll be all right, won't they, Tom?" Avery whispered hoarsely.

Tom clutched his wand tightly in his pocket with one hand. With his eyes fixed on a point ahead, he murmured, "I don't know."

At this moment, tens of miles away from them, there was a hog-killing roar in the dark and smelly basement.

The man with the scar on his face suddenly let go of the girl in his hand, and the expression on his face was distorted, making him look even more terrifying.

Just now, blue flames suddenly burned around Eleanor's body.

Biting coldness penetrated the man's body.He clutched his arm that had been scorched by the freezing flames, and let out a hoarse scream.

"What did you do, bitch?" he growled. The surface of his right arm was covered with a thin layer of frost, and he could not move.

Eleanor backed away in horror until she reached the edge of the wall.

"I'm going to kill you—" the man's intact arm raised the wand in his hand, and yelled furiously, "Avada Kedavra!"

"Don't!" Another tall, thin man rushed over in panic and bumped his companion's arm.

Green's spell misses and hits an empty wine bottle next to Eleanor. The bottle exploded immediately, and the shards lodged deep in the skin on Eleanor's side.Enduring the excruciating pain, she picked up a splinter and desperately tried to cut the rope.

"They're going to find us!" the lanky man yelled in horror. "We need to get out of here, Thomas!"

The man named Thomas gasped, "Before we get there, we've got to fix these two little problems...Kill them both, Craig."

"No, I can not--"

"Coward!" Thomas pushed him away angrily, then rushed to the unconscious Abraxas and raised his wand.

"NO!" Eleanor screamed.

At this moment, there was a sound from somewhere.

"Damn Aurors! They found this place!" Thomas cursed.

"We can't let them Apparate away!" A strange voice came through the basement door, "Continue to search the house and find those two children!"

"They must have cast a temporary anti-Apparition spell here!" Craig cried. "What should we do?"

"Look at that boy!" Thomas yelled at Craig.

Thomas put his good arm around Eleanor's neck and whispered to her ear, "Hold on or I'll kill your boyfriend, baby."

Eleanor immediately stiffened.

Thomas took Eleanor out of the basement.

Three Aurors stood outside the door, all pointing their wands warily.

"Throw away your wands, or I'll kill the girl." Thomas said coldly.

After a brief silence, the three finally put down their wands.

"Don't hurt her," said one of the female Aurors.

"Very well, then turn around and leave here, and lift the anti-apparition spell here." Thomas ordered again.

They turned around obediently and walked towards the door.

"Very good," Thomas gasped, then turned and roared into the basement, "Craig, take that boy to Apparate, and we'll see you at the old place!"

But he didn't get any response.

"Damn it, Craig! Did you hear what I said?" Thomas yelled.

Still no one responded to him.

Throwing Eleanor roughly aside, Thomas turned and strode back to the basement.

Eleanor hit the ground hard, and the shards from her side sank deeper into her body, and she immediately let out a cry of pain.

"Who are you?" Thomas' voice came from the basement.

Then, the sound of the wine bottle shattering came again.

"Do you think you can beat me?" Thomas yelled, laughing wildly.

It sounded like Thomas was fighting with someone in the basement, and Eleanor was struggling to get up when she suddenly felt someone grab her shoulders from behind.

"Don't be afraid, it's me," said Avery's voice.

Eleanor turned her head in shock, and vaguely saw something moving in the air.

"I used the illusion spell." As soon as he finished speaking, his body slowly appeared from the thin air.He lowered his head to help Eleanor untie the rope, "We have to get out of here quickly."

"Who's in the basement?" Eleanor said hoarsely.

"It's Tom," Avery answered tersely, before finally untying Eleanor's body.He felt a sudden heat in his hands, "Oh, no, you've bled a lot, Eleanor!"

"I'm fine." Eleanor stood up from the ground with difficulty.

At this moment, a scorching heat wave came from the basement.

"What happened—"

Before Avery could finish his sentence, he saw Tom stumbled out of the basement.

"Go!" Tom reached out and grabbed Eleanor's arm, "Damn it, that idiot just used fire magic!"

"But Abu is still inside!" Eleanor shouted, staring at the basement where the smoke was coming out.

"We can't save him," said Tom dryly. "Go, the fellow is going to come out soon."

As soon as he finished speaking, Thomas rushed out of the thick smoke.Coughing violently, he raised his wand at Tom.

Tom cursed, let go of Eleanor's arm, and confronted Thomas.

An Auror rushed through the door, and he watched in amazement, before reacting quickly to join Tom and Thomas in the fight.

"Get out of here!" the Auror yelled. "And you too, boy! Leave this to us!"

The fire in the basement seemed to grow stronger, with more smoke billowing from it.

Eleanor felt dizzy for a moment, then was dragged by Avery and staggered out of the house.

Soon, Tom rushed out after them.

"Where is Abu?" Eleanor asked weakly against the tree trunk behind her.

"I don't know, probably still in that basement." Tom replied calmly. He walked to Eleanor's side and stuffed a wand into her hand, "I found your wand."

At this time, those Aurors also ran out of the house.

Thick smoke was billowing from the house and it looked like the fire was showing no signs of abating.

"There's another boy in the basement!" Avery yelled at one of the Aurors. "Did you get him out?"

"Sorry, it's too hot!" the Auror yelled over his shoulder. "That guy's magic fire is too tough to deal with, there's nothing we can do about it!"

"You have to do something, you can't just watch Abu die here!" Eleanor gasped while grabbing Tom's sleeve.

Tom grabbed her wrist and whispered, "Sorry, Eleanor. There's nothing we can do."

Avery stared at the house palely and said nothing.

Eleanor looked at the two of them, and cried out in despair, "Well, I'll save him myself!" She shook Tom's hand away, and ran towards the house.

"Eleanor!" cried Tom angrily after her, "come back to me, now, at once!"

"Don't go, Eleanor!" Avery yelled in horror at the same time.

Eleanor ignored them. She covered her mouth and nose and ran into the house without looking back. The thick smoke made her cough violently.

She groped to find the entrance to the basement, and the man named Thomas lay headfirst near the entrance, seemingly passed out.

A strong heat wave rushed into her nose and throat with thick smoke, and she felt her lungs almost burning.

She felt that her consciousness was becoming blurred, and she immediately fell to her knees on the ground.

No, she has to stay awake...

She forced herself to pull herself together and gripped her wand firmly.

She clearly knew what she wanted to do, and the frozen flame magic clearly appeared in her mind. She's used it successfully once today and she just needs to use it again...

She raised her wand high and said the incantation while she still had a sliver of consciousness.

A stream of blue flame erupted from her wand. The flame was like a giant dragon, quickly forming a circle around her, and finally formed a huge flame vortex.

The smoke and heat were kept out by the icy flames. She felt a strong dizziness, and her head tilted to the hard ground.

The blue flame swirls rapidly and becomes brighter and brighter.People standing outside the house can also clearly see the blue shimmer through the windows.

Finally, the flame exploded from the center. The bone-chilling mist spread rapidly, filling every corner of the house.

When everything was quiet, a thick white mist lingered around the house.Smoke was no longer coming from the house and it looked like the flames had been completely extinguished.

Tom, livid in the face, was the first to rush into the house.

When he saw the girl lying on the ground, he immediately rushed over and hugged her in his arms.

"Eleanor! Wake up!"

Eleanor was cold and pale, and looked as if she had turned back into the cold, lifeless ghost.

Tom felt a sudden warmth in his hand.He raised the hand and found that it was covered with blood. There was a look of fear on his handsome, always calm face.

"No, Eleanor, no..." he said in a trembling voice, stroking Eleanor's cheek with his blood-stained hand.
