[HP] Riddle's Spirit Behind

Chapter 025 School finally starts

Diagon Alley is a wonderful place beyond Eleanor's imagination.

She stared intently at the novelties in the window—everything from the latest broomsticks to babbling owls and rows upon rows of potions in clear jars struck her as a novelty.

Tom didn't waste time on the road. He rushed through the crowd and walked straight into a bookstore.

Almost everyone stared at Eleanor in unison.Presumably they've never seen a ghost visiting a bookstore.

Eleanor was getting used to being the center of attention. She smiled at those staring at her until they hurriedly looked away.

Tom quickly bought the textbooks he needed.

Eleanor followed him out of the bookstore, "Where else are you going, Tom?"

"New robes," he replied very succinctly.

He walked quickly into Madam Malkin's gown store, and found that a customer was already trying on the gown.

"I need a new school robe," he said to the woman who was measuring the blond boy.Another girl who looked only seven or eight years old was helping her carry the fabric.

"Okay, dear," said the older woman, smiling. "Wait over there, please. Joey, take his measurement."

"Yes, Mom." The little girl replied crisply, and then came over to help Tom measure the length expertly.

"You're Tom Riddle, aren't you?" asked the blond boy taking measurements. He looked about Tom's age, a little shorter than Tom.

"How do you know?" Tom looked at him warily.

"Because you're famous," the blond boy said nonchalantly. "Everyone knows Tom Riddle in first grade is followed by a female ghost."

"Oh, really?"

Tom looked up at Eleanor reproachfully.

Eleanor said with her lips: "It's not my fault."

Soon the blond boy had his measurements taken and jumped out of the chair.

"See you at the beginning of school, Tom Riddle." He said with a slight nod, and left the robe shop.

"Who is that guy?" Eleanor said, looking at the boy's back.

Tom said, not at all interested, "Probably a freshman."

After leaving the gown shop, Eleanor begged Tom to walk down the street with her.

"You don't want to go back to the orphanage that early, do you?" she said, looking at him expectantly.

Tom nodded slightly for the first time.

Then they wandered aimlessly along sunny Diagon Alley.

Tom went into a second-hand bookstore and bought a copy of "The Secret History of Hogwarts You Didn't Know".

Eleanor felt that it was an interesting book judging from the name, and she suddenly remembered that she hadn't read a book for a long time.So she enthusiastically proposed to read this book together tonight.

Tom remained noncommittal, and Eleanor took it for his consent.

At noon, Tom had a hasty lunch at an open-air restaurant on the roadside. Then they went back to the orphanage.

At night, when Tom lay in bed reading the book he had just bought, Eleanor floated beside him and read with him.

At first she was watching from a distance, but then she couldn't help but be fascinated, so she leaned closer to Tom, and finally almost touched his cheek.

"Get away from me!" said Tom angrily, turning his head. The chill emanating from the ghost made him feel sick all over.

"Hurry up and turn the next page." Eleanor urged indifferently, "I also want to see if the last crappy witch has escaped from the Forbidden Forest!"

Tom stared at her for a moment, then raised his hand and turned hard to the next page, "Satisfied?"

"Thank you." Eleanor grinned, not caring about Tom's bad attitude at all, and then continued to read the book fascinated.

And Tom didn't realize that he was gradually turning the pages at the speed of Eleanor's reading.

When he finished a certain page first, he would subconsciously glance at Eleanor, waiting for her to urge him to turn the page.

Finally, they watched until the lights outside the window were almost all extinguished.

"Tom, turn off the light and go to bed!" Mrs. Cole knocked on the door of the room and shouted loudly.

Tom shut the book in his hand abruptly, and replied impatiently, "I see."

"It's a pity." Eleanor was watching a wonderful part, which was about how a goblin pretended to be a student to take the OWLs exam. "Let's continue watching tomorrow."

Tom put out the light and lay down to sleep.Although it was pitch black, he could clearly feel the ghost floating directly above him not far away.

The long nights at the orphanage suddenly seemed less hateful to him.

The thought was fleeting in his mind.He soon fell asleep.

Seeing that the day of school is coming.

Eleanor could clearly feel that Tom's mood had obviously improved.

By the last day of August, Tom got up early and packed all his bags.

After staying in this dreary room for a long time, Eleanor realized that she missed Hogwarts Castle very much.

Since reading that book, she has become more and more interested in Hogwarts.Hogwarts is far more complicated than it appears on the surface - various secret passages, mysterious rooms that can disappear, and many unproven legends.

"After we go back to school, let's explore the castle." Eleanor suggested to Tom, "Don't you want to find the secret passages described in that book?"

Tom replied, "I'm not interested in secret passages."

Eleanor had known that would be his answer, because Tom would always say no to anything interesting. But then Tom said: "I'm a little interested in other things, though."

"What's that?" Eleanor asked curiously.

But Tom was unwilling to answer the question. He picked up the snake from under the bed and immediately diverted Eleanor's attention.

On the first day of school, there was a continuous drizzle, and the air was filled with damp mist.

They came to the station again, and walked through the wall to platform nine and three-quarters.Several first-year freshmen who had never met Eleanor pointed at her and discussed in low voices.

After boarding the train, they found that there were no vacant boxes. So Tom had to find a box with people and opened the door and went in.

The moment she stepped into the box, Eleanor suddenly let out an "ah".She saw the blond boy she had met earlier sitting by the window, looking at them in surprise.

"It's you." The blond boy said indifferently, nodded slightly and continued to look out the window.

Tom sat down across from him.Neither of them wanted to talk to each other, so the box fell into silence for a while.

At this time, the door of the box was opened again.

"Tom!" Avery exclaimed in surprise, "So you're here!"

"You're almost late," said Tom quietly.

"Yeah, it's dangerous." Avery sighed and sat down beside Tom.He looked up at Eleanor, smiled unnaturally, and said in a flat tone: "Uh, hello, Eleanor."

Eleanor raised her eyebrows in surprise, and said with a smile, "Hello, Avery."

Avery glanced at the blond boy who was staring out the window.

Eleanor noticed that although they were both blond, the boy by the window had slightly lighter hair.

"Who's that?" Avery said in a low voice.

"I don't know." Eleanor replied in a low voice.

At this time, the boy suddenly turned his head slightly, and said softly, expressionlessly: "Malfoy. Abraxas Malfoy." After he finished speaking, he turned his head back again.
