[HP] Riddle's Spirit Behind

Chapter 010 What She Fears Most

In the evening, instead of going straight back to the Slytherin common room as usual, Tom walked out of the castle.

Because of a shower that had just fallen not long ago, the air was filled with heavy humidity.

Eleanor recognized them on their way to the greenhouse. They used to take herbal medicine classes there.

However, Eleanor couldn't think of a reason to go to the greenhouse at this time, so she couldn't help asking, "Where are you going?"

But Tom didn't answer her.

When he was about to reach the greenhouse, he suddenly turned a corner and followed a path hidden behind the woods to a small open space behind the castle.

The area seemed to be seldom visited, and the masonry floor was covered with thick moss.

"What are you doing here?" Eleanor asked strangely.

At this time, she saw Tom go to a nearby thick grass.

He squatted down, as if looking for something in the grass.

Eleanor floated over, "What are you doing—"

Tom raised his head slightly, his eyes full of impatience. He made a silent gesture.

At this moment, Eleanor suddenly heard a rustling sound coming from the grass.

She couldn't help feeling a little nervous.

"What's in the grass?" she asked.

Tom still didn't answer her.A slightly weird smile appeared on his face, and he said softly, "Come and meet my friend, Muggle."

Seconds later, the girl's scream echoed through the deserted woods.

Soon, the two came out of the woods.

Eleanor folded her arms on her chest and followed behind the black-haired boy with a resentful expression on her face.

"I can't believe it—" She stared at the boy's back, "Don't you like this thing?"

Tom stopped, with an unconcealable smile on his face, and at the same time said mischievously: "Do you want to touch it?"

As if hearing his words, the bulging part of the robe on his chest suddenly squirmed.

Eleanor couldn't help shivering back, and then she was embarrassed. She cleared her throat and said calmly, "Of course you don't need it. I can't touch it."

Tom stared at her thoughtfully for a few seconds and let out a small, sarcastic laugh. He turned and strode towards the castle.

"You don't want to keep it, do you?" Eleanor muttered behind him, with vague dissatisfaction in her tone.

"I didn't want to." Tom glanced at the ghost behind him, a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth again, and said slowly: "But now I have changed my mind."

"I object." Eleanor said immediately, "Aren't you afraid it will bite you?"

"It won't bite me," answered Tom calmly.

After that, Eleanor still couldn't make Tom change his mind.He seems to have decided to keep the thing.

Although she knew it couldn't hurt herself, Eleanor still couldn't control her fear of that creature.

She is not actually a timid person. As a child, she would catch spiders and earthworms with her bare hands and use them to frighten other boys her age. This made the teacher who disciplined her a headache for a while.

The only thing she is afraid of is snakes. She couldn't tell why.

In short, as soon as she saw that scaly, slender body, she would get goosebumps all over her body.If she imagined it crawling up her body, Eleanor felt that she was about to faint.

At midnight, Tom got out of bed on time.He knelt down and said something under the bed.

Eleanor didn't catch him, but she had a vague feeling that it didn't sound like English.

But she soon put the matter out of her mind, for she saw Tom grab the snake from under the bed.

"What are you going to do?" asked Elinor hopelessly, for she knew Tom would not answer her.

But Tom seemed to be in a good mood, and he actually replied to Eleanor, "You will know."

Slytherin has several spare bedrooms.Slytherin College has not been fully recruited for several years in a row, which is inseparable from the decrease in the number of pure-blood wizards over the years.

The empty dormitory at the end of the corridor was used by other students as a storage room. There are no professors here to scout, so they often put prohibited items here.

Because few people come here, it is also a good place for students to have wizard duels in private.Tom learned this from other people in the first week of school.

At twelve o'clock at midnight, Eleanor followed Tom to the empty bedroom.

The moment they entered the dormitory, the torch on the wall was automatically lit.Orange light instantly enveloped the entire room.

Eleanor saw that the dormitory was full of sundries placed by students, and those things were covered with dust.

Tom picked up a crystal ball and played with it boredly.

A few minutes later, just when Eleanor thought that the blond boy would not appear, there was a sudden sound of footsteps at the door.

"You are late." Tom said coldly to the two people who appeared at the door, and then threw the crystal ball aside.

"I didn't expect you to come." The blond boy said a little surprised. He quickly put on that haughty look, "Where's your assistant?" He glanced at Eleanor contemptuously, "Don't tell me it's this Muggle ghost."

Eleanor sneered dissatisfiedly, she didn't like his contemptuous tone when he spoke.

Tom didn't answer the blond boy, but said commandingly, "Close the door."

The boy named Chris obediently closed the bedroom door.

"Why do you listen to him so much?" the blond boy whispered to Chris behind him, gritted his teeth.

"Sorry, I'm used to it..." Chris muttered softly.

The blond boy clicked his tongue impatiently, then turned around and drew out his wand, "Go ahead, I'm going back to sleep."

But Tom stood there without moving, not drawing out his wand.

"What are you doing?" the blond boy frowned. "You don't know how to duel, do you?"

Tom narrowed his eyes slightly and smiled.

Probably because he felt that the other party's smile was too weird, the expression on the blond boy's face froze for a moment.

"Don't worry, I haven't asked you to introduce my assistant yet." Tom said and stretched out his arm.

A snake covered with black and brown markings crawled out from the sleeve of his robe, spitting out its letter.

"Ah—" Chris suddenly screamed, and he grabbed the blond boy's arm tightly, "Billy! There's a snake! A snake!"

Only then did the blond boy realize that he had been opening his mouth halfway, so he quickly closed his mouth, pretending to be calm and reprimanded: "Shut up, Chris! It's just a snake, so why bother! You're a Slytherin! "

Chris had no choice but to let go of the blond boy's hand, muttering something and backing away.

"What are you trying to do with a snake?" The blond boy regained his calm expression and said with a sneer, "By the way, by the way, that snake should be poisonous. If you don't want to die tragically, take that thing put it down."

"Oh, do you? Do you quite understand it?" Tom said unmoved, stroking the snake's triangular head as if stroking some lovely animal.

"Get out your wand quickly," said the blond boy irritably. "Aren't you going to duel?"

"I don't need a wand," said Tom quietly, and then he whispered something to the snake.

Now Elinor heard exactly what Tom was saying.

That's definitely not English, or, at all, like any language.

"What are you talking about?" The blond boy frowned.

The snake was put on the floor by Tom.It hissed, and raised the front half of its body provocatively.

"What are you doing?" There was a trace of tension in the blond boy's tone.

Tom stared at him intently, with a flat smile on his lips, and went on to say something in that odd voice. The sound was like a hissing sound from his throat, echoing in the dimly lit room, which seemed strange and terrifying.

At this time, the snake suddenly moved. It crawled towards the blond boy at an extremely fast speed.

The blond boy finally couldn't hide his panic. He threw a spell at the snake, but it missed.

"Make it stop!" the blond boy yelled in horror. He watched as the snake crawled into the leg of his pajamas.

"Ahhhhhh—" the blond boy screamed and jumped up, the blood on his face completely disappeared.

"Oh, God. It's terrible." Eleanor, who was watching from the side, shivered quietly.

"Get it out! Get it out!" the blond boy yelled in horror. "Chris, help me!"

But Chris seemed even scarier than he was. When he saw the blond boy walking towards him, he screamed "Don't come here", then turned around and fled through the door.

Eleanor sighed and looked at Chris's back.If she wasn't a ghost now, she would run out with him too.

"Don't be afraid, it won't bite you." At this moment, Tom said in a cheerful tone, with an uncontrollable smile on his face.

"How do you know!" the blond boy exclaimed, as the slender bulge beneath his pajamas crept up to his thighs. The expression on his face suddenly distorted, "Ahhh——I'm going to be bitten!!"

"Because I ordered him not to bite you," said Tom lazily, "and he can't hurt you if you don't move."

"What do you mean you ordered it?" said the blond boy in a trembling voice. "Don't tell me you can talk to snakes!"

Tom looked at the other party very quietly, and the smile on his face gradually became obvious.

"Talk to the snake...is his brain flooded?" murmured Eleanor. But then she saw Tom making that hissing sound again.

At this time, the snake suddenly crawled out from the blond boy's trousers.

The touch of the snake crawling on his body made the blond boy let out another exclamation.

The snake finally returned to the ground again. It raised its head, its eyes seemed to be fixed on Tom's direction, like a soldier waiting for an order.

Tom hissed again. The snake suddenly seemed to understand, and began to crawl towards Tom.

Eleanor couldn't believe her eyes. She felt that Tom was really ordering the snake just now.

"Oh, my brain must be flooded," she muttered under her breath.

The wizard even has the ability to talk to animals! It's just amazing!she couldn't help thinking.

But Elinor immediately discovered that the shocked expression on the blond boy's face was no less than hers. She soon realized that this might not be a common ability.

The blond boy took half a step back, glared at Tom, and said hoarsely after a long time: "You...you are a Parseltongue?"
