Bride of the HP Dragon
Chapter 46
"How do we get back?" Hermione asked as Draco walked ahead of her through the low vegetation.
Bleeding and exhausted, yet still ridiculously calm and moving on.Instead Hermione felt a little sluggish, lost, and clumsy, and wandering through nature in the dark was not her specialty.Twice she has been hit in the face by a low branch.
She prayed that the things that were in close and frequent contact with her face didn't cause poisonous rashes on her upper body that could barely see where they were going.
"We have to decide whether to Apparate or not," Draco replied.
"As long as there's no apparition-free zone here."
He brushed away a branch that was about to touch her: "Maybe there is, but we're definitely going out."
Hermione grabbed his elbow to stop him, and she saw him critically, and he turned to her, "Malfoy, no offense, but I guess if we Apparated together, we'd be conjoined twins." Baby, you can't do this in your condition."
The corner of his mouth curled up: "then you really can't get rid of me."
"I'm not kidding."
"I know," he said seriously, "you really have no sense of humor."
"Draco, we only have one wand. If there is no Portkey to go back, we may have to wait for Oro to come after all."
"Here will be the Portkey back to the Forbidden Forest," he promised. "That's what we're looking for."
Found the Portkey?Hermione could barely see Draco, let alone their surroundings, the woods all looked the same to her.
"Is this the way you came here?"
Draco thought for a moment before answering, "Yeah, I think it's this one, those trees look similar."
Hermione looked at the trees suspiciously, and of course they looked alike, like every other tree she'd seen twenty minutes before. But Draco seemed to think they were in the right place, so he seemed to pick himself up.They came to a small clearing, and even Hermione could tell that the fallen leaves were being trampled on, and it looked like the place was being used a lot.
Draco made a semicircle, limping all the way, and nodded to himself.
Hermione, glad to be out of breath, looked at him and then thought very sadly that the reason they were in this predicament was because they happened to be standing on the doorstep of love.
Blaise, Draco, Goyle, Pansy, and the experienced Harry and Ginny formed the lineup. But Hermione didn't want to follow their example, because denying yourself isn't good for your soul.
If anything, FidaMia convinced her.
Who knew falling in love could make you feel like you had the whole world, every minute of your day? It's too good to be true, isn't it?
To think that all this happened because of her succumbing to that condescending, condescending smile of Draco's at the graduation party was surreal, no, unreal, as if it had happened a long time ago.
She looked at him and thought there might be a million things she wanted to do with him, to show him, after they were both safe. That's a big ask isn't it?become safe?Hermione felt full of joy and eagerness at the thought of them laughing together.
They can argue and argue endlessly. They can have sex, yes, and non-stop.With someone you know so well, you don't have to actually ask him to borrow a jacket when you're cold, because you'll find the jacket draped over your shoulders before you've even spoken.
"That's it, I'm sure!" Draco said suddenly. "This is where we came in. There must be an entrance nearby." He looked thoughtfully at a fallen branch, then at a huge overgrown Mossy stones.
Hermione had never seen a person so excited just to see a hollowed out tree stump.
She must have looked a little fuzzy, because he said, "Granger? Are you all right?"
She smiled reluctantly, but she didn't know it.Hermione suddenly felt chills all over her body, Travers' flabby mouth and bloody corpse reappeared in front of her eyes like a puppet in a nightmare.
"We're going home." Draco assured again.
His voice was so beautiful, Hermione wondered how she had never stopped to pay attention before. The belated shock pierced her, and he staggered towards her, squeezing her hand tightly, and she felt that her fingers were as cold as ice.
Hermione shook her head.
"Fine." Draco probed various things in the clearing, still holding her hand, and Hermione braced herself for the visceral feeling of being hooked to her navel. He touched a piece of wood with his foot, then a large rock beside it, then a dead stump,
Still nothing.
"Malfoy, if we can't find the Portkey, I think you should Apparate to St. Mungo's before me. I can go back and find Ron and Harry," she suggested.
"I'm not going to die yet, woman." As for fainting, that's another matter, Draco told himself: "Stop rambling, help me find it together."
Something in the darkness caught her eye, perhaps only because the clouds above had parted and the remaining moonlight was gradually illuminating the clearing. It looked like a gold tie pin embedded in the bark of an oak tree, and she stepped towards it.
"Draco, did you see that? I think..."
The way he covered her mouth and pulled her back into the shadow startled her, and they stood together under a crooked willow tree, half hidden behind its low-hanging foliage. She was shaking and Draco started rubbing her arm back and forth, she could feel the bandage on his wrist.
"What's that?" she asked in a low voice.
"I don't know," he replied, his breath blowing the soft hair on her sideburns: "Maybe there is nothing."
Not for nothing, someone just walked into the clearing.Hermione looked through the leaves, and all she could make out was a slender figure in the darkness. She managed to push aside a branch to have a look, but Draco disagreed.
Draco's vision was better, and Hermione tilted her head to look at him, and she guessed Draco must have recognized the person because of the murderous look on his face.
Blaise looked down at the ground very hard, looking as if he was reading the pattern of scattered leaves, he sighed heavily: "I know this forest like the back of my hand, I know every corner and every corner here. Gap."
Hermione tensed up when she heard Blaise's voice. They have a magic wand! They should knock him out at the first chance! But Draco didn't budge.
"Is that you, Draco?" Blaise yelled. "Of course it's you. Looking for the Portkey back, aren't you? Guess you'll come looking for it, and you're not stupid enough to stay and be a hero." Right? Not even to impress your sweet little wife. Maybe saving that Oro would be enough to impress?"
Hermione was nervous, thinking of Ron, Harry, and Tonks, and praying they were all right.
"I know you're there, I know there's someone there. Is that you, Draco? Hermione, you're with him? Watching him get back to Hogwarts safely? So it's you who felt sorry for poor Terra Firth did those horrible things?"
She couldn't take it anymore, she saw the dead body again, and her mind was in a mess.Draco seemed to feel it, and he hugged her even more tenderly.
"Not coming out yet? Maybe I can seduce you, whoever you are." Blaise continued, crossing his arms and almost stamping his feet: "Come out, maybe I'll tell you where Bellatrix is. They haven't found her yet, you know. Those fools broke into the castle, and of course she disappeared like a puff of smoke, but I know where she is." His last words were sung.
Blaise might be trying to appear utterly calm, but from Hermione's standpoint, she could tell he was very disturbed. His eyes kept looking anxiously around the edge of the clearing, trying to see if anyone was approaching.
Hermione whispered to Draco, "He's playing tricks, he'd never betray Bellatrix."
Blaise seemed to hear her: "My master will accuse Bellatrix of making a mess of this, and after all this hard work and a year of steadfast recruiting, I will Will take her place, Draco. Come out, come out and I'll tell you where she is, where the woman who ordered me to kill your mother is. I'll give you this in exchange for a farewell, my friend."
Of course Draco wouldn't be fooled, would he?
"Stay here," Draco told her.
Hermione grabbed his arm and stared at him. "What? You're crazy!" She hissed, "You won't last a second."
"Your confidence in me is ashamed," he replied in great exasperation.
"Since he hasn't been injured or bled, and hasn't been affected by the pain of the Cruciatus Curse, I think that's enough to show that he's in better shape than you!"
"Don't make fun of me," Draco hissed back. "I'm not trying to fight him, I'm trying to hold him back. He thought he was out of danger because he managed to get out of the castle undetected." , but he was wrong. Go back to Weasley and Potter, and better bring back the real Oro."
"Did you really think he was going to tell you where Voldemort's right-hand man was?"
"Yes, take this wand now."
She pushed the wand back into his hand, and he was just gibbering.
Draco gritted his teeth: "Granger, if he sees me appearing with a weapon, he'll disappear. Let him think I'm unarmed and out of my mind wanting revenge."
"Really?" she asked, frowning, not convinced.
Draco stared at her for a long time, and when he put his hand on her cheek, calm returned to his body: "You don't believe me?"
"It's not about trust, it's a stupid plan! It's like an outdated Batman TV show," Hermione said bitterly, "The bad guys can always make a hero's death shine, and make it as ridiculous as possible. "
Draco's expression was a little incredulous: "Batman."
She gets emotional: "Yeah, damn Batman!"
"Hermione, he can't kill me. I saved his life when we were kids, and we have a wizard's bond."
It was news, and Hermione looked at him with wide, anxious eyes.Killing wasn't killing, and Blaise had proven that he was willing to hurt Draco as much as he could, and Draco wasn't Batman.
He is her beloved.
"what are you going to do?"
Draco shrugged. "It's obviously my specialty to piss him off."
He pushed her into the bushes under the tree, but she wouldn't let him go, the tattoo on his back turning into a black blur against the fair skin.
"Hurry up." Is there a little fear in his tone?Impossible, Hermione hesitated: "In case he's crazier than he looks." He managed to smile at her.
Reluctantly, Hermione let go of Draco and watched him walk out of the woods to meet the villain in the story one last time.
Remus Lupine thought that the scene in front of him was caused by a blow to the head, and he couldn't tell if the head was injured.
Once, while James was loitering in the common room, he accidentally swung a cricket bat on Sirius' head, and Sirius swore he saw elves dancing for hours afterwards.
Lucius Malfoy is no dancing elf.
And this bastard wanted to kill himself just now.
But honestly, it's not a personal grudge.Lucius was probably planning to wipe out an entire floor of Death Eaters, and he didn't notice that two members of the Oro rescue team were trying to sneak into the castle.
As soon as the door opened, Remus became aware of the strong, sour smell of keelmeal in the air. This finely ground powder is extremely volatile, and just a small amount of misapplication can make a person lose arms and legs.
Whoever caused the explosion must have used a whole bottle of powder.
Remus hadn't actually seen Lucius until Astrid was thrown from the castle by the force of the explosion.Remus, on the other hand, slammed into a wall hard and fell to the floor. He could make out at least two more unconscious people at the far end of the hallway, Death Eaters hopefully, and Moody damned better come over here.
He raised his head with difficulty and scanned the surrounding ruins, trying to find Astrid. He saw her sitting up, covered in soot and gravel, her painful coughing relieved Lu Pingan, and she narrowly escaped.
Then, to Remus' surprise, Lucius Malfoy emerged calmly from the smoking wreckage, shiny black boots straddling him.
He took two steps, stopped, turned around, and looked down at him.
"Lupine?" Lucius asked, almost initiating a conversation.
Remus looked at him in astonishment through the dust in the air, and he was about to answer, but Lucius didn't give him the chance: "My son, is he with you?"
"No." Remus coughed.
"Make sure you find him before you leave this villain's lair," said old Malfoy. He walked on, stopping again at the far end of the hallway, and casually took the wand of an unconscious Death Eater.
When Remus finally managed to get up on his trembling legs, Lucius was still within range.
But if old Malfoy was expecting a spell, it hadn't been.
Draco knew where Bellatrix was, he didn't have to beg, bribe or sneer.Blaise told him very simply, but there was a happy light and a calculating flame in his eyes.
He had failed in his mission, but if it was remedied properly it could be salvaged, and then Draco guessed it made Blaise happy, anyway, sociopaths always experience true joy.
Blaise wasn't a fool, and even though he had impulsively kidnapped Hermione, he was downright smart.
Unfortunately for Draco, delay only works when there is something to delay. He didn't know what else to do with Blaise now that he'd gotten the information he was willing to risk his life for.
A fight to the death with Blaise was out of the question, given the lack of a wand and the possibility that he would faint. Not only is this embarrassing, it is likely to be a fatal mistake.
Unless Hermione hurried back to help him.
Draco tried to be casual: "Dude," he said, "Thanks for the message, I'll keep you in touch."
Blaise was surprisingly in no hurry to leave: "Are you going to leave without taking your wife after all?" he asked Draco, "You left her with Auror? All that talk in your dungeon about 'don't What about touch her or I'll kill you'? You're all acting?"
"No," said Draco, "but I realized what a horrible nagging woman she was, and I changed my mind. You can have her."
"You think you're joking, don't you?" Blaise sneered.
"Only in moments of life and death."
This made Zabini's face darken: "Where's Hermione, Malfoy?"
This is his game.
It was remarkable, he was still looking for Hermione, and Draco wanted to finish him off.If Draco took Blaise and Goyle to the bar to party and pick up girls everywhere, maybe all these tragedies would not have happened.
Draco snorted coldly: "Go away, you lunatic, go find your own Mudblood."
"Watch your tone, Malfoy," said Harry, who emerged from the path Draco and Hermione had walked earlier, followed by Hermione and Ron.
Shocked, Brace still moved quickly. But Harry's reaction speed was at its peak, he threw himself on the ground and rolled aside, avoiding Brace's crazily struck fainting place, Ron quickly pushed Hermione down to hide.
The wand Draco had given her flew away, and if Ron hadn't pushed her aside, she would have gone back to pick it up.
A burst of dead leaves rolled in the air like waves.
"There are obstacles!" Harry yelled as he rolled on the ground.
The spell hit Blaise's chest, and he fell to the ground bewildered.Ron rushed forward and quickly kicked the wand out of Blaise's hand.
Ron panted and turned to Draco: "Are you all right? Hermione is sure she will find your fresh, smoking corpse in a place where she was separated from you."
Draco kept his eyes on Blaise: "No," he said. Then he walked up to the fallen boy, lifted his uninjured leg and kicked Blaise hard in the stomach: "It's better now."
"Did he tell you?" Harry asked, "I mean where is Bellatrix?"
"He told me, but I don't know if the news is reliable, at least we have a clue."
Harry broke into a smile: "It seems that we have gained something today. I guess Moody must have a lot of questions for him."
Ron grabbed Blaise by the back of his robe and dragged him up, then leaned into his ear and said, "Don't say anything. Don't even breathe if you can. If you dare to do what you want, I'll let Malfoy climb his expensive mountain." The shoe went in your bowels. Did you hear that? Scared, Student Council President?"
"Ron," said Hermione, walking slowly towards Draco, having had an unpleasant enough day, "can we just get this over with?"
"Very well, we'll take him back to Moody, and you two will go to St. Mungo's as planned." Ron roughly pushed Blaise towards Harry, and Harry pointed his wand at Blaise's throat, escorting him alone. their prisoners.
Blaise took a few steps forward, then stopped and looked at Draco: "Malfoy..."
"Ignore him," Harry yelled, pressing his wand to Brace's throat warningly.
"You're right!" Blaise insisted, "You can't give me what I want, Draco."
"I told you to shut up, Zabini!" Ron said sharply.
Draco raised his hand, he wanted to hear: "So what do you want now? To watch me die? But you can't do it yourself, can you? Because it would kill you, and we all know you don't a martyr."
"Watching you die?" Blaise smiled: "You will die in the end. But first, I want you to suffer." This smile lasted until he saw Hermione. Blaise's expression was impressive, and the expression in that expression The power of persuasion overwhelmed them all for a moment.
"I regret that."
For some reason, Draco instinctively reached for Hermione, who was just two arms' length away.
"Harry?" Ron wanted to warn, but it was too late.
Blaise threw a small glass ball so hard it shattered on Hermione's hip.
And overhead, the sun was rising.
Bleeding and exhausted, yet still ridiculously calm and moving on.Instead Hermione felt a little sluggish, lost, and clumsy, and wandering through nature in the dark was not her specialty.Twice she has been hit in the face by a low branch.

The corner of his mouth curled up: "then you really can't get rid of me."
"I'm not kidding."
