[Journey to the West] Those things about me and Master

Chapter 33 The Fish in the Pond and Avalokitesvara

That night, the moon was shining, and they sat on a boulder one or two miles away from the village, looking at the cold clouds and dark colors in the sky, and listening to an ordinary monster, telling the twists and turns of his whole life.

Meet the wrong person, and then make mistakes step by step.

"Have you ever heard of Budou?"

"Who?"

"He is the smelliest and dumbest monk in the world." The fish monster's eyes blurred, the tails of his eyes drooped, he didn't know whether to laugh or cry, and his voice was hoarse, "No desire, no desire, no love, no hate, Kong Huai has a compassionate heart, but it is as hard as a rock, invulnerable to swords and guns, and impregnable."

Sun Wukong always felt that this description was very similar to Tang Sanzang, or Tathagata Buddha. He tilted his head, slightly puzzled, "That man is also a monk?"

"To be precise, he has already attained the Tao."

The fish monster narrowed his eyes and shook his head, "No, he is the eldest son of the wheel-turning holy king 'Wu Zheng Nian', the prince of Shantilan Kingdom, and the most pious and bright hope of that country."

Among the three, Tang Sanzang is undoubtedly the most proficient in Buddhist scriptures. When he heard the name of infidelity, his mind was already shaken, and when he heard the thought of injustice, the wheel-turning sage king, his eyes widened instantly, as if being hit by a hammer, and his lips opened and closed as if he lost his voice.

"That...that's..."

The fish monster's eyes were like clouds covering the moon, and he couldn't see clearly in the dark.

"That's right, King Wuzheng Nianwang is the future Amitabha Buddha, and his son Buzhen...is the future Ming Ming Tathagata Buddha."

Tang Sanzang tried his best to stabilize his figure, his face turned pale, "It is also the present... Guanshiyin Bodhisattva."

Sun Wukong was taken aback when he heard the name, his expression sank slightly.

"King Wuzheng Nian had a minister named Baohai Fanzhi, and Baohai Fanzhi had a son named Baozang. Later, Baozang became a monk and attained Bodhi, so he became a treasured Tathagata Buddha. He preached Buddhism all over the country. What kind of sorcery has been used so that the whole country loves it, and even the king's servants have learned from him." The fish monster snorted lightly, showing disdain, "Finally, the king of Wuzhong Nian made a great vow, not wanting to be a wine and meat eater. The emperor wanted to be a Pure Land Buddha. Treasure Tathagata was overjoyed when he heard about it, so he granted him the title of Amitabha Buddha. He became Shakya Tathagata Buddha, appeared in the world of five turbidities to teach and transform all living beings, and is called Shakyamuni Buddha in the world."

Sun Wukong couldn't help but slowly frowned when he thought of the Tathagata Buddha who had pressed him under Wuzhi Mountain back then.

"And then, the people of this country went crazy for some reason, and they all wanted to become Buddhas instead of being human beings. Seeing that his father and king had granted him the oath, he also made a great vow to Treasure Treasure Tathagata, He said that he would dedicate all his good roots to the Buddha way. He saw how miserable all beings in hell, how dirty their minds were in human and heaven, and how many times they fell into the three evil ways. If all living beings who are sad, lonely and poor, and fall into the dark karma that bite their hearts, can read him and call his name, and be heard by his heavenly ears and seen by his heavenly eyes, they will surely cut off their troubles and rescue them from the sea of suffering, practice goodness, and see the Tathagata And if he can't fulfill his promise...he will be punished for not being able to achieve the Supreme Righteous Enlightenment Buddha Way in his whole life, and never being able to become a Buddha in eternity!"

The fish monster clenched its lips tightly, dripping blood.

"How can such a compassionate heart fail to move the Buddha? Treasure Tathagata naturally gave him a prophecy, and ordered him to be the □□ Ming Tathagata Buddha, to watch heaven and man and all sentient beings in the three evil ways, to cut off the many troubles of sentient beings, and to enable sentient beings to enter the world of peace and happiness. That’s why people in the world call him——'Avalokitesvara'."

Tang Sanzang nodded thoughtfully, "Look at the voices of all living beings in the world and rescue them from their sufferings, and live up to the name of Avalokitesvara."

"Heh...but he is merciful to save others, how can he save himself?"

The fish monster clenched its fists tightly and made a low voice.

"He originally became a Buddha, but because of the ignorance of all living beings and deep desires, he blamed himself for not being able to achieve consummation with him. He swore that he would never become a Buddha if he could not save all living beings. The Buddha appeared in the world as a Bodhisattva, preaching the Way and teaching the Dharma. Why? Why are such stupid and hopeless sentient beings worth so much?!"

As he spoke, his eyes were bloodshot and his fists were clenched.

"Amitabha, all sentient beings have originally become Buddhas, and all have Buddha-nature, so it is not impossible for them to be stupid."

Tang Sanzang clasped his palms together, shook his head and said something.

"Becoming a Buddha? Buddha nature?" The fish monster seemed to have heard some big joke, and laughed from low to high, piercing people's ears, "Tang Sanzang, do you really believe in such things? Lord, for a thousand princes, for his father, for his brothers, and for hundreds of millions of boys and disciples, all of them have been granted the seal and recognized the Buddha. Ordinary people must practice diligently for dozens of kalpas to become Buddhas, and suffer from common people's vegetarianism, ascetic abstinence, and the physical body. To destroy a lot of suffering. And those who have only a slight connection with the treasure Tathagata can become Buddhas one by one after making great vows, and ascend to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Is it just a fig leaf for public benefit?!"

His eyes were wide open, and his eyes were full of red, his voice seemed to be roaring from his chest, with a surge of ups and downs.

Tang Sanzang frowned slightly, suppressing the ripples in his heart.

"The Buddha's prophecy must have his own reasons. But you, if you think like this, you are already deeply deluded. If you don't turn around, you will fall into the devil's way."

"How about the devil? How about the Buddha?" The fish monster stared at him, and slowly pulled away a terrifying smile. It is you who are deeply deluded without realizing it!"

These words fell on the hearts of the two of them, like thunder exploded thousands of times.

Sun Wukong was stunned, his eyes had a faint light, but Tang Sanzang's figure flickered, and his fingers grasped the cracks on the rock very tightly.

"We are delusional because we have not yet become Buddhas, and we are still ignorant sentient beings."

Once you become a Buddha, everything will be different.

The fish monster listened, but snorted and sneered, as if he had seen through everything in hundreds of years.

"But why do you become Buddhas? Are Buddhas really better than ordinary people? Isn't it a greater obsession to become a Buddha for the sake of becoming a Buddha?"

He shook his head, his expression was sad and the moonlight was like water, he didn't know who he was mocking.

"Like that person, who has lived a repetitive life for thousands of years, preached the scriptures, preached the Tao and dispelled doubts, and his mind remains unchanged like still water. Is he a Buddha or a stone?"

【—Your Dharma name is Avalokitesvara, have you ever contemplated your own sound?

—I have no pain, nor desire.Don't watch yourself.

——But I think that no pain is the greatest pain, and no desire is the greatest desire. 】

The fish monster recalled the past, and finally became dazed.Like sparse stars and pale moon, cold frost and lonely clouds, galloping across.

His voice finally faded away, no longer aggressive and hostile, nor sharp in confrontation, like the slight wind blowing quietly in every night.

"The story between me and him started with the Buddha and will end with the Buddha. That year, I was still a fish in the lotus pond of Mount Putuo, carefree..."

That year, he was still a goldfish in the lotus pond of Mount Putuo, swimming around every day without restraint or care.As a humble existence like floating mustard seeds in the vast world, he has never considered his own coming and going, nor has he ever thought about whether to leave his meager traces in the world of five turbidities.

But who would have thought that after listening to Guan Zizai chanting sutras and preaching about Buddhism, he, a tiny fish whose roots are deep in the dust, would also develop Buddha nature, absorbing the essence of the sun and the moon and gradually becoming refined.

He spits bubbles in the pool every day, watching Guan Zizai in white clothes Shengxue of Zhilan Yushu, facing all living beings with an expression of great compassion, liberating and saving all living beings.

"Bodhisattva, you say that all dharmas and appearances are bound and blinded by human eyes, but you have kept your hair. Doesn't that mean you also have appearances?"

That day, for some reason, he listened to Guan Zizai's lecture on the Dharma, and his heart gradually became turbulent, always wanting to say something to make that person notice his own existence.

Some of the disciples stood up and scolded him, "What do you know about a fish? The reason why monks don't grow their hair is to eliminate distracting thoughts. The master has already attained the fruit position and entered the world to save sentient beings. Hair or hair has nothing to do with the Dharma appearance!"

Guan Zizai waved his hand to stop the man from continuing, turned around, his brows and eyes were as warm as water, and the corner of his mouth smiled lightly, "Although you are not very enlightened, you are very intelligent. Yu'er, what's your name?"

At that time, he never thought that the Bodhisattva, who was as far away as a heavenly man, would really talk to him, and his gentleness and elegance were like still water flowing deep.

He shook his head blankly, "I don't have a name."

After listening to Guan Zizai, he nodded, "That's fine, a name is also a kind of appearance. Without a name, there will be less worldly thoughts."

He lifted the fish monster from the pool, his palm turned into clear spring water to support the fish body, and he patted his head lovingly with the other hand.

"The so-called empty appearance of all dharmas, all five aggregates are empty, the reality is that we don't care whether there is or not in the end. There is a distinction between empty appearance and non-empty appearance in the heart of the Hinayana. There is no distinction between emptiness and non-emptiness in my heart. Only when the concept of emptiness is gone is the real "emptiness". Therefore, I am willing to enter the world. Seeing the five turbidities is like seeing the pure land of bliss. Viewing emptiness is also emptiness, and emptiness So empty, whether I have hair or not is no longer important to me, this is the real way to see through. But if you are still clinging to the appearance of hair, you are still blinded by delusion and cannot see through."

The fish monster was stunned for a while, and finally looked up at him, "Then in your eyes, am I empty or form?"

At that time, he was held by that person, and it was obvious that the distance between the two hearts was only half a foot, so close.

But after all, it is as far away as mountains and seas.

If you look at your heart inwardly, there is no such thing as your heart; if you look outwardly, it has its shape, but your shape has no shape;

Guan Zizai looked at him calmly and gently, but it seemed that he was not looking at him, but just looking at a cloud of nothingness.

"You are empty."

You see, this is the realm of a bodhisattva, seeing all living beings as if seeing emptiness, and seeing emptiness as if seeing all living beings.

The fish monster's heart was like a heavy stone, so heavy that it was covered with a thick layer of haze.

It felt like the heart was wrapped in the water plants in the pool, suffocating and suffocating faintly.

He shook his head vigorously and said, "Since Bodhisattva, you said that there is no distinction between emptiness and non-emptiness in your heart, then I should be indifferent to you, not emptiness!"

Guan Zizai was stunned for a moment, and then his face was the same, just like a breeze blowing across the river, he nodded, "You are right. To me, you should be meaningless and empty. Empty is also a form, and neither is empty nor is it not. Mutually."

This four-dimensional universe is small and vast, and he may see through many things, but he has not.

Because of this, he willingly retreated from the body of a Buddha, turned his back on the Merciful Hang, condescended to become a Bodhisattva, and continued to practice.

After thinking about it, Guan Zizai smiled lightly, and looked at the fish monster with lingering light in his eyes, like a floating lamp, "Fish, I take back what I said, you are not only deeply rooted in wisdom, but also extremely enlightened. I don't know if you are willing to enter Be my disciple, study the Dharma, practice diligently, and achieve the Buddha way of supreme enlightenment?"

The fish monster looked straight back at him, raised his eyebrows slightly, "Are you going to become a Buddha too?"

"I am a Buddha."

"Then I will become a future Buddha together with you. Let them think of you from now on, and they will think of me!"

Guan Zizai knew that he had an obsession in his heart, but he didn't point it out, he just thought about dissolving it in the future.

He teased the fish monster's fins with his fingers, and said in a gentle voice, "You still call me Master?"

The fish monster was tickled, his heart went numb, and his throat trembled a little.

"Master, Master..."

"Ah."

That's how they started.

One has been obsessed with obsession for a long time, and the other has been completely silent.

The days are stable and the clouds are clear.Until everything is shattered like a mirror.

He said, "Master, what I'm after is not a picture, what I'm after is you."
