[HP] End of Death
Chapter 60 Provocation
Ron and Hermione didn't return an hour later, and by then Neville and Luna were already in Harry's drawing room.Luna sat and read a copy of "The Quibbler" backwards, while Neville tossed his own pot of rice buds.
"Ah, I'm so hungry." Ron sat down next to Harry, picked up the leftover chocolate frog on their table, tore open the packaging bag, and bit off the frog's head.
"Well, every fifth year in each house has two prefects," said Hermione, who seemed in a bad mood, "one male and one female."
"Harry, guess who is the prefect of Slytherin?" Ron looked up at the ceiling.
"Malfoy." Harry replied immediately, his expression a little awkward, but the two good friends didn't notice it.
"That's right," Ron replied sullenly, picking up another Chocolate Frog.
"The other is that utter cow Pansy Parkinson," said Hermione tartly. "How could she be a prefect? She's dumber than a concussed troll..."
"Who's the Hufflepuff?" Harry asked.
"Ernie MacMillan and Hannah Abbott," Ron replied quickly.
"Ravenclaw is Anthony Goldstein and Padma Patil," said Hermione.
"You danced with Padma Tipper, Harry," said a muffled voice.Everyone turned to look at Luna Lovegood, her eyes fixed unblinkingly on Harry from above the Quibbler.
"Yeah, I know." Harry was a little surprised.
"You left later that day, she was very worried about you." She said, then lowered her head and continued to look at the Quibbler in her hand.
"Uh... I had something to do that day." Harry scratched his hair, not knowing how to answer.
Ron looked at his watch and said, "We should be patrolling the corridors to see if anyone has done anything wrong...I can't wait to catch Crabbe and Goyle and punish them..."
"Ron, we can't abuse our power!" Hermione said sternly.
"Yeah, that's right, because Malfoy will never abuse his power." Ron sarcastically.
"So you're trying to bring yourself down to his level?" Hermione raised her eyebrows.
"No, I'm just making sure to show his friend some seriousness before he bullies my friend."
"Really?" The carriage door was flung open, they turned around, and Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle were standing triumphantly in the doorway.
Draco folded his arms and leaned against the door. Although he was speaking to Ron, his eyes were fixed on Harry: "Don't let me catch your pigtails, Weasley, be careful that you are caught Revocation—I think your parents must be very happy to hear that, the first Weasley to be rescinded as a prefect, huh?"
Ron blushed, and Hermione said angrily, "Get out, Malfoy!"
Draco ignored her, he straightened his upper body and strode in, walked straight in front of Harry, and looked down at him with his chin raised: "Long time no see, Potter."
Harry had been avoiding his gaze since his appearance, not glancing at him.He really didn't expect Draco to come to trouble them like he used to, and they had just been here an hour ago.
He thought that as long as he ignored him, all this would be over, but the other party came to him relentlessly.
Harry raised his head and glanced at him, thinking that there were people staring at him, he said, "It's only a summer vacation, Malfoy, is it itchy so soon?"
"Don't you think it's ridiculous to say that, Potter. You know I'm different from you, I have the power to punish you, but you can't, that's the difference." Draco raised his eyebrows and smiled even more complacently.Harry frowned, he always felt that the other party's words meant something, maybe it was his illusion.
"Really, then are you going to punish me for confinement or for copying sentences?"
Draco thought of something, narrowed his eyes, and said softly, "Stop confinement."
Harry looked at him blankly, clenched his fingers secretly.
The people next to him didn't realize what they were discussing, and Draco obviously didn't intend to let them know, he cleared his throat, and said in a slippery tone: "Anyway, good luck to you, Potter. I suggest you behave yourself Son, because I'll follow you like a hound to see if you're not breaking the rules."
He waved at him, smirked, took one last look at Harry, and turned away with Crabbe and Goyle.
Harry was still absorbed in Draco's suggestive words, while Hermione frowned. She looked at the two boys around her, but found that neither of them seemed to understand her thoughts, so she had to push them: "Harry, Ron!"
"What, what's wrong?" The boys came back to their senses and looked at her blankly.
"Don't you realize?" Hermione glanced at Luna and Neville and lowered her voice, "Malfoy may have recognized that dog as Sirius."
"Ah, you mean 'The Hound'?" Harry responded, but he was thinking more. Was Draco telling himself something by this...was he telling him that they had found Sirius?Or in the Order of the Phoenix...
The train slowed down slowly and would soon reach the station. They quickly changed into their school uniforms, took off their suitcases and pet cages, and prepared to get off.Ron and Hermione were going to keep order in the hallway, so Harry and the others took care of Piglet and Crookshanks for them.
"Let me get that owl cage for you." Luna held out her hand to him.
"Um - yes, thank you, Luna." Harry handed her the cage without refusing.
They dragged their heavy steps into the crowded flow of people in the corridor. It wasn't raining outside the car, but the sky was terribly gloomy, and the dark clouds pressing tightly on the top of the head were like hills, making it hard to breathe.
Harry threw his head back and looked out, across the moving sea of people. He also doesn't know what he wants to see.
They got out of the car and came to the platform. Luna was standing beside him holding the owl cage. Hedwig turned its head curiously and flapped its wings in the cage.
A lantern moved toward them like a boat sailing on the Black Sea.What followed was a strange, crisp voice: "First-year students, please line up here! All first-year students follow me!"
Harry looked in surprise at the source of the sound. It was Professor Graplan, who had helped Hagrid with Care of Magical Creatures last term.At this moment she was shouting loudly, carrying out the task that originally belonged to Hagrid.
"Where's Hagrid?" Harry cried.
"I don't know, Harry," Luna replied, "but I think we've got to go there. Look, there's a lot of people coming out of the door."
They walked along the platform to the outside of the station, and the two were gradually squeezed apart by the crowd.Remembering that Luna was still carrying the owl cage, Harry stopped and waited for her to follow, squinting his eyes for Hagrid's looming figure in the night. What he longed for most at this moment was to see him, he couldn't be here...but he couldn't find him no matter what.
"Who are you looking for, Harry?" Luna finally made her way to him.
"I'm looking for Hagrid. He's been here before." Harry said nothing more.Hagrid couldn't have left Hogwarts... no way, he probably just had a cold or something... but Harry hadn't been sick since he'd known Hagrid.
He looked for Ron and Hermione as he walked, wondering what they thought of Professor Graplan's reappearance, but he didn't notice that there was a person staring at him and Luna a few feet away from the right back long time.
"Ah, I'm so hungry." Ron sat down next to Harry, picked up the leftover chocolate frog on their table, tore open the packaging bag, and bit off the frog's head.
