Just a bit twisted
Chapter 20
Normally, Sean is not a heavy sleeper.
But when his bedroom door was opened with a "squeak" that night, Sean couldn't fully wake up, his mind was in a daze.He buried his face deeper into Rutledge's warm shoulders and wrapped his hands around Rutledge's arms.
Those voices seemed to come from far away.
"Your brother was sleeping," Rutledge said. "Go back to bed."
"But I'm having nightmares! I'm so scared. Sean always hugs me when I'm scared!" It was Emily.
Sean struggled to open his eyes. But can't open it.
"Emily," Rutledge said sharply. "You're a smart little girl. You can't sleep with Sean because the bed is too narrow for the three of us."
"I'm going to sleep with Sean. You go to sleep with the little bee!"
Rutledge gave a dry laugh. "I don't think I can fit in your bed, little man."
Emily thought for a moment. "I can sleep on you. You're big and Sean loves to sleep on you."
Sean did like it, though it made him a little uneasy that Emily knew about it.
"You can't sleep on me."
"why?"
"Because—because... well," Rutledge said finally, gritting his teeth, Sean was very surprised.
With a squeal of delight, Emily climbed onto the bed and lay down on Rutledge's chest.
"You're so warm," she said, yawning.
He is really warm.It was freezing cold in the house, but Drake was warm.Very warm.
"Go to sleep. And don't pee on me," Rutledge said gruffly.
"I'm not a baby anymore. I'm grown up. I don't wet the bed."
"Fine. Go to bed now."
"You have weird hair on your chest. Sean doesn't have weird hair on his chest. Why?"
Rutledge was speechless for a moment. "Go to sleep."
"You don't like me," Emily muttered. "You prefer little bees."
A deep sigh. "Why do you think I like her more?"
"You gave her chocolate yesterday!"
Sean frowned.What?
"Because she asked me for it. If you want something, you have to ask."
"So if I ask you, can you give me anything? Anything, anything?"
"If I say yes, you stop talking and go to bed right away?"
"it is good!"
"Okay. What do you want?"
"I want a puppy! Black and long-haired! And a white star on the forehead."
There was no sound. "Change to another one."
"But you can say anything!"
With a smile on his face, Sean fell back into sleep.

"What," said Christian, rocking back and forth in his chair. "What's going on with you and Rutledge now?"
Sean lifted his face from the plate to look at him. "What?"
Christian chuckled. "Come on. I'm not blind. It's been a few weeks. I thought you couldn't stand him now, but you still look like you've been too much--"
"I didn't."
Christian looked at him blankly.
Sean pinched the bridge of his nose and admitted, "Okay, I can do it. So what?"
Christian held up his hands. "Hey, I'm not talking about you. You can be as happy as you like." He shrugged with a crooked smile. "Whether you're into his dick or not is none of my business."
Sean leaned back heavily in his chair, looking at Christian seriously. "The situation may be a little more complicated than that." He sighed and wiped his forehead with his hands. "He came near me during class, and I didn't know what to do. It was like my brain would shut down when he was around me." He frowned. "I kissed him outside his office yesterday. I couldn't help it. Luckily we weren't seen—I think we weren't seen."
Christian's eyebrows were almost up to his hairline. He whistled. "Wait, you guys, is this considered dating?"
Sean rubbed the corner of his eye. "No—I mean—I don't know. I... I sort of gave him a key to my apartment."
Christian laughed.
Sean kicked him under the table. "Shut up. I have a reason for doing it. He comes in too late sometimes, and I don't want him knocking on the door and waking the brats up. That's not what you think it means."
"Oh really?"
Sean sighed heavily. "I don't know. Things have been weird lately. He's been really nice to me sometimes, and I feel like... I feel comfortable with him, you know?" Happy. "It's so confusing."
"My mother. Don't you all have a good talk?"
Sean shrugged. "Talk, we talk, but we don't talk about this kind of thing. He only comes to me at night. If the brats are not asleep, we can't have a good conversation. If they are already asleep, we can't do much." Just talk." I just wanted to strip him off and be crushed by him. "And he's not the type to talk."
"It seems that he wants to talk now." Christian nodded in the direction behind him.
Sean turned to see Rutledge walking briskly towards him. When Rutledge was beside him, Sean stood up and took a step back from the table.
"What happened?" Sean muttered, scanning his surroundings. They attracted curious glances from bystanders; faculty and staff generally did not come to the cafeteria.
Rutledge's shoulders relaxed a little. "It's okay," he said, turned around and walked out of the cafeteria, obviously hoping that Sean would follow him.
Sean rolled his eyes and complied.
"I'm going away for a few days," Rutledge said once they were outside.
"Where are you going? What are you doing?"
"It's not important. It's none of your business."
Sean folded his arms across his chest. "Really? Then why did you come to tell me?"
The two glared at each other.
Sean refused to look away.
"I'm leaving," Rutledge said firmly.
"Okay. Let's go." Sean bit the flesh on the inside of his cheek, trying not to ask a lot of questions.Asking that kind of question will only make him look like a pitiful young girl in Huaichun.
Rutledge took a step toward him; they faced each other within inches. There was a strange restlessness in Rutledge's dark eyes. The atmosphere between the two was undergoing a certain change, which made Xiao En feel panic. It also excited him.
They just looked at each other like that for a few seconds.
Someone came out of the cafeteria, and the two quickly distanced themselves.
"Master," the man said to Rutledge respectfully.
"Okay," Sean said, putting his hands in his pockets. "I'm leaving." Kiss you in front of everyone before I jump on top of you.
Rutledge nodded stiffly and walked away.
Sean sighed.Oh shit.
Maybe a little separation for a few days would be good for both of them.Things are really getting weirder and weirder.
Or, things are getting less and less weird. This may be the problem.
But when his bedroom door was opened with a "squeak" that night, Sean couldn't fully wake up, his mind was in a daze.He buried his face deeper into Rutledge's warm shoulders and wrapped his hands around Rutledge's arms.
