"Go to Miller's new bar together? It has a good reputation."

"Not tonight, Jack." Adam stared at the computer screen. "I have work to do."

"Fart," Jack said. "Stanley couldn't stop bragging about you this morning—that you're ahead of schedule on everything."

Adam continued typing. "I'm busy." He replied sparingly.

Jack sighed. "Just say you won't be sleeping here tonight."

"I don't sleep here. Only twice."

"Listen, it's not going to go on like this, man," Jack said. "First you shrank at home and refused to come out, and now you don't want to go back like you are hiding from an infectious disease."

Adam didn't answer, still staring at the screen.

There was a long silence that followed, so long that he thought Jack had gone.

"It's been months," Jack said quietly. "He's not coming back."

Adam gritted his teeth and said nothing.

"Accept the truth and move on."

"That's what I do," Adam said evenly. "That's why I'm here. Work."

"You're not working, Adam. You're wearing yourself out. By the end of the year, you'll either be rich or overworked. I can't see which is more likely." Jack annoyed "Tut "A cry. "Forget about that kid. He ran off without even saying 'goodbye.' He's just an ungrateful little bastard—"

"Get out," Adam said.

"Come on man, you know I'm right—"

"Get out," Adam repeated. His voice was probably not very friendly, Jack flinched and walked away quietly.

The back door closed.Adam leaned back in his chair and put a hand over his tired eyes.Jack was right: he was wearing himself out.But there are benefits to working.Work left him no time to think about anything else.

Adam pinched the bridge of his nose.

fuck it.

Almost two months. How long will he be decadent? He did it for someone who obviously didn't exist.

Still can't believe everything Harry told him was a lie.But facts are facts: Harry Karuweennan doesn't exist.Adam almost thought Harry was just a product of his imagination. But he wasn't the only one who had seen Harry. He is real.used to be.

Thinking of this, he felt a familiar pain in his chest again.Anger aside, he was still concerned about what had happened to Harry.People don't disappear for nothing, especially when they leave behind all their belongings, not even their passports.

Jack kept telling him to let go, trying to convince him that Harry, who disappeared for nothing, was an ungrateful little bastard.Adam wished he could listen to him, but the problem was, he still couldn't quite take it.After the initial outrage and sadness, Adam thought carefully about their relationship and couldn't believe that that Harry—his sincere, sweet, unworldly Harry—was actually such a brat.

He told this to Jack and was mocked. "Sincere? Unsophisticated? He even made up his name! Come on, I know you're lost by him, but you're definitely not that blind. He's a fox in rabbit skin, how could you I believe it all."

Jack is right. The rational side of Adam understood. But the irrational side of him kept thinking about the way Harry smiled at him, the way he snuggled into his arms, the way he trembled at his touch, the way he responded to his kiss— His lips were horny and sweet, innocent as hell.People can lie, but body language can't.

Or is this all he is deceiving himself?

possible.Because no explanation makes sense.Adam even thought about whether Harry was driven by guilt because he betrayed his fiancée and left him.But that doesn't explain his fake passport and his absence.Besides, if that was the case, Harry wouldn't have baked him some damn cake.

The cake was still warm when he got home. That's what's most maddening. He literally smelled Harry's shampoo in the air, as if Harry had just left.

Jack rolled his eyes every time he tried to prove that Harry couldn't have left voluntarily.

"Unless he's been abducted by aliens, there's no excuse. Just accept it, man! Don't make excuses for that little bastard. Forget about him. There's nothing like grass anywhere. What the hell is going on? , I hardly recognize you."

Well, Jack is right.

He has to be realistic.Harry is a liar.Everything he said and did was a lie.Harry - if he was called Harry - was gone and didn't want to be found.

It's time to get out of that section.
