The Necromancer of Hogwarts

Chapter 152 For the greater good

Hogwarts, Head of Slytherin's office.

Snape was dealing with the matters at hand, but he didn't expect that a person came from outside, which made him a little surprised.

"Dumbledore?"

Snape had doubts in his eyes.

It stands to reason that if Dumbledore has something to ask him, he can just ask him to go to the principal's office. What is he doing in his office?

Dumbledore waved his hand with a smile: "It's been a long time since I visited Slytherin House. Severus, let me see you."

He looked around Snape's office for a while, with a smile in his eyes that meant something.

"Severus, you have changed a lot in the past few years."

"It seems that I have let go of something on my mind. My whole body is not as gloomy as before."

"It's good, it's good. I was always worried that you wouldn't be able to stand the pressure and would be tortured by the past in your heart until you collapse. Now I see that you are more relaxed, and I am very happy for you."

Snape's heart skipped a beat. He didn't know why Dumbledore said these words.

He reluctantly twitched his lips: "Really? Maybe it's your imagination, I haven't changed much."

Dumbledore smiled happily. He stood up, walked around Snape's office, and walked to Snape's side again.

"Really, Snape? Has nothing really changed in your life?"

A drop of cold sweat fell from Snape's forehead, but he still shook his head and said, "No, you made a mistake."

Dumbledore shook his head, and the sharp light was reflected in the lenses, making Snape feel cold all over.

"This smells like lying, Snape."

"Lily is obviously in your arms, why do you hide it from me?"

boom.

Now Snape felt like he was struck by thunder.

But his expression became calmer, and he said to Dumbledore in a normal tone: "What nonsense are you talking about, Dumbledore? Lily has been dead long ago."

Snape sneered: "If Lily were still alive, would Harry be able to live a life of dependence on others?"

Dumbledore pushed up his glasses and laughed: "Ah, okay, let's not talk about this topic."

"Let's get down to business, Snape. I need your help in preparing a potion."

Dumbledore said slowly, but Snape's palms were sweating.

"I need you to help me prepare a potion for the soul."

"Its function is very simple. It is to remove as much foreign soul fragments from the soul of a little boy as possible."

Snape froze.

He has never prepared this kind of magic potion, and he has never even heard of it.

Can a soul fragment be attached to a complete soul? What's happening here?

Snape's expression did not escape Dumbledore's observation.

Dumbledore nodded: "Oh, it seems Lily hasn't told you. It's no wonder. I wouldn't reveal such a secret to others."

Snape's expression changed, and he was about to refute Dumbledore's statement.

But Lily's cry sounded in his arms: "Run, Snape, run!"

"I'm here to stop Dumbledore. You run away and take Harry with you to escape from England! Hurry!"

Snape didn't waste any time and immediately took out his wand.

But instead of running away, he took out the container containing Lily's soul from his arms and used a magic spell to send her in the direction of Harry.

"You take Harry and escape, and I'll stop Dumbledore."

Snape pointed his wand at Dumbledore, and all his magic was poured into the wand.

Although his hands and feet were trembling, Snape still blocked Dumbledore's way.

Dumbledore had no intention of leaving in a hurry, but wiped his glasses.

"After all these years, you can still give up everything for Lily."

"What a great love, Severus."

Snape's expression was as pale as paper. Even though Dumbledore's expression was gentle, he still felt deep fear.

He had never seen such a terrifying Dumbledore since the war with Voldemort ended more than ten years ago.

This old bee who usually pretends to be crazy suddenly revealed his poisonous sting today.

Quickly, accurately and ruthlessly, it penetrated directly into his heart.

All he could do was point his wand at Dumbledore, even though he knew that in Dumbledore's eyes, his resistance might be as weak as that of a child.

"Run, Lily, run..." Snape prayed in his heart.

But Dumbledore shook his head.

"Lily's cooperation is also needed today, so I'm afraid I won't be able to fulfill your wish."

"Lily, come in, poor child."

Snape turned his head and saw a phoenix gently holding the container containing Lily's soul and bringing Lily into the office.

"There is no escape, Snape. There is a magic barrier outside."

Lily emerged from the soul container and looked at Dumbledore.

"Principal Dumbledore, I didn't expect to meet under such circumstances."

Dumbledore smiled and greeted Lily: "I didn't want to point this out originally."

"From my height, very few things can be hidden from me. I can see the truth of things clearly."

"Whether it's your little secret or other people's little secret, there are very few things that can be hidden from me. Most of the time, I don't want to pay attention to these things. I just let it go and am happy to be confused."

"Lily, but I have to have a good talk with you this time."

Lily's words were filled with sarcasm.

"That's a lot of trouble for you."

"You know you owe me, Dumbledore."

"You used me to defeat Voldemort, and you used my love for Harry. You took great pains to deliver that powerful spell activated by love to me."

"Now, at the moment when we are about to reunite mother and son, are you going to use Harry and me again? The greatest white wizard, my dear Principal Dumbledore, or do I really want to call you like so many others? The White Devil?"

Dumbledore slowly wiped his glasses.

His eyes were extremely bright and sharp, completely different from his usual look.

"You know how it is, Lily."

"A piece of Voldemort's soul accidentally attached itself to Harry. To completely defeat Voldemort, the soul in Harry's body must be destroyed."

Lily's eyes were filled with anger.

"Voldemort is no match for you at all. Don't think I don't know how terrifying you are!"

"You can defeat Voldemort casually, he poses no threat to you!"

"If that's the case, why are you so cruel to Harry?! He's just an innocent twelve-year-old child!"

Dumbledore still maintained his slow tone: "I'm old, Lily."

"Voldemort is not the only threat facing the wizarding world. I must deal with Voldemort as soon as possible before I can free my hands to deal with greater threats."

"The fragment of soul inside Harry must be destroyed."

Lily's eyes were cold: "Even if Harry will die because of this?"

Dumbledore's expression changed slightly, and he spoke one sentence at a time.

"For the greater good."
