Hogwarts lazy snake

Chapter 221 Secret room battle

Seeing the basilisk rushing towards him fiercely, Ron was extremely anxious and had no time to recite a spell. He looked at Neville in tacit understanding and put on anti-basilisk glasses.

Then almost at the same time, he took out a Colt pistol from his pocket. With a loud "bang", flames spurted out of the muzzle, and the bullet rushed towards the basilisk with a whistling sound.

But the snake monster had thick skin and its scales seemed to be made of steel, so the bullet only produced a streak of sparks before being bounced away.

But this shot also successfully diverted the basilisk's attention a little, causing its attack trajectory to deviate slightly.

Ron took advantage of the gap in the shooting and flew towards the dazed Harry. His glasses were shaking on the bridge of his nose, and he didn't bother to straighten them. He hugged Harry tightly with both hands, and they both fell to the ground together.

The huge body of the basilisk brushed past Ron's arm, and its scales as hard as a knife were like a sharp weapon, instantly tearing the sleeve of Ron's left arm. A blood mark suddenly appeared, revealing the alchemical arm underneath that was shining with a strange metallic luster.

Ron ignored the pain in his left arm and lowered his head to check on Harry.

Harry looked confused, the red light in his eyes had disappeared, and he asked in confusion, "Ron, why are you in my bed?" Ron replied unhappily, "Look where this is!"

As he spoke, he took out the magic box from the small bag on his waist, pressed it on the alchemist's arm, and input magic power. In an instant, light flashed, and a ferocious-looking Hand of Ares that exuded ancient oppression was equipped on his left hand.

The metal fingers made a crackling sound as they flexed and stretched, as if containing infinite power.

He drew out his wand with his right hand, and the tip of the wand trembled slightly, ready to go.

Neville was caught in the strong wind brought by the basilisk, his hair and clothes were blown wildly, and he lost his balance and fell to the ground with a plop, his face full of fear and horror.

But after a moment, he gritted his teeth, forced himself to calm down, hurriedly took out the magic box from his arms, pressed it against his chest, and with a flash of golden magic light, a gold and white armor engraved with mysterious runes quickly covered his whole body, as if he was wearing a layer of sacred armor.

Then, he took out the wooden stick he usually used from his small pocket, held the stick tightly in one hand and the wand in the other, stood up, and hurriedly moved to Ron's side, standing shoulder to shoulder with him, staring at the basilisk.

"Are you okay, Neville?!" Ron stared at the basilisk, looking ready to strike.

Neville's chest rose and fell violently, and he gasped for breath, but his face showed a determination not to back down: "It's okay, Harry, are you okay?"

Harry finally came to his senses. He looked at the strange and eerie Chamber of Secrets, and then at the huge, mountain-like monster with its mouth wide open and full of sharp teeth. He couldn't help but curse, "Damn it, where is this! Ron, did you take my bag?"

Only then did he realize that he was in his pajamas without even shoes, and was completely defenseless in this dangerous place.

The basilisk missed its first attack and became even more violent. It lashed the ground with its thick tail, causing the stone slabs to break with a "crack", and debris flew everywhere. The entire secret room seemed to be shaking.

It held its head high, with rage burning in its one eye as it stared at the three humans who dared to provoke it. Its mouth opened wide, dark green venom dripped from its sharp teeth, and a pungent smell filled the air.

Ron took a deep breath, his voice trembling slightly due to nervousness, but he pretended to be calm and shouted to Neville beside him: "Harry, your bag should be in your coat, but the coat is at the entrance, Neville, are you ready?"

At the same time, he did not forget to answer Harry and other questions.

Neville swallowed, tightly grasped the weapon in his hand, and replied: "It's okay, we have to be careful, this ghost thing is too cruel!"

At this moment, the atmosphere in the secret room was so heavy that it seemed to materialize. The crisis was like an invisible net that tightly covered the three of them. Every passing second seemed to be infinitely stretched, and they were on the verge of life and death.

They could only stand back to back, using weapons and magic in their hands to prepare for the next round of fiercer attacks from the basilisk, while Horn, hiding in the dark, witnessed it all.

Ron saw the basilisk's appearance and thought it was about to attack, so he reminded Harry: "This monster is about to attack, wait and follow me and Neville, and then you take the opportunity to grab your wand!"

"OK! No problem!" Harry glanced at a small sheepskin bag sticking out of his clothes on the ground not far away, then looked at the basilisk.

The basilisk roared, and the sound was like a roar from the abyss of hell, shaking the walls of the secret room and making them fall to dust. Its sturdy body rushed forward again like black lightning, and its huge head, accompanied by a whistling sound, came straight towards the three people.

Ron gritted his teeth, and the metal luster of the Hand of Ares on his left arm shone, as if responding to the fighting spirit of its master. A golden defensive magic circle appeared. He protected the mechanical arm in front of him, pointed his wand at the basilisk, and quickly chanted a spell: "Many obstacles!"

An invisible magic barrier instantly formed in front of the basilisk, trying to slow down its impact.

However, the basilisk was too powerful. It only slowed down for a moment before it violently broke through the barrier. Its scales collided with magic power, sparking crackling sparks.

Neville raised his wand and shouted, "There are so many obstacles!"

The basilisk that had just broken through Ron's magic slowed down again.

Taking advantage of the moment when the basilisk was restrained, Harry crouched down, stared at the coat with a corner of the sheepskin bag exposed, and moved quickly.

The hem of his pajamas was rustling in the strong wind, his hair was soaked with sweat and stuck to his forehead, his heart was in his throat, and every step he took felt like he was walking on the edge of a knife.

Just as he was about to reach the coat, the basilisk seemed to have sensed his intention and swung its long tail, lashing towards Harry like a steel whip.

"Harry, be careful!"

Ron roared, and the Hand of Ares suddenly stretched out, grabbed a broken stone slab, and threw it hard at the basilisk's tail. With the blessing of the Hand of Ares, the stone slab shot out like a cannonball.

The stone slab collided with the scales and shattered into pieces, but it also slightly changed the attack trajectory of the tail.

Harry rolled sideways in a thrilling manner, and his fingertips just touched the coat. He pulled it towards him and frantically searched for the bag inside. His hands were shaking violently and veins on his forehead were bulging, but he finally grabbed the bag.

He quickly took out the magic box and put on his "guardian" black arm guard, put on the glasses clip, and then took his magic wand.

At that moment, he seemed to have grasped a life-saving straw. He let out a long sigh, stood up, raised his wand high, and formed a close formation with Ron and Neville again.

"Good boy, now we can have a good look at it!"

Harry said this through gritted teeth, his eyes full of determination, sweeping away his previous confusion and panic. The tip of his wand flashed blue light, and magic power jumped and surged at the tip of the wand, ready for the next round of attack from the basilisk.

Ron didn't think so: "I think we should think about how to escape, find the professor, or find Horn if that doesn't work."

As he said this, he looked at the huge, ugly, terrifying basilisk and swallowed.
