Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy
Chapter 364 Ambitious Moore
Caecilius grunted and rubbed his wrists, finally freeing himself from the restraints.
This Doctor Strange proves to be more resourceful than expected.
He turned to the unconscious student and walked towards him.
Caecilius turned his disciple over and patted him gently on the head, bringing him back to consciousness.
"Master Caecilius?" the student called out, shaking his head.
"Come on," he said, helping him to his feet. "We have work to do."
"Master!"
The other two students he had sent out to deal with the Rakki returned in a panic.
Caecilius asked, startled by the state of both of them.
"Knight," the man closest to him gasped. "He's going to kill us."
"We have to run now," said another, with absolute fear in his eyes.
Caecilius's gaze hardened as he looked out the window, hearing the signs of burning chains being used, and then the screaming Rak Ghost.
"Come on," Caecilius declared. "We'll fight him together."
"But--"
"Together," he stressed. "He may be a spirit of unimaginable power, but with the gifts we have received from Dormammu, we will triumph over this vile demon."
The three students standing around him saw his determination and slowly regained their composure. They all stood up straight and soon followed their master down to the first floor and out of the temple.
They all walked out, just in time to see the burning body of a Rakkyu in front of them.
The Zealots all looked up to see Ghost Rider grab another Rak by the neck and make flames burst out of its mouth, melting it.
Seeing it dead, and the parts of the body that had not been burned thrown away, Ghost Rider glanced at the four mystics, who were staring at him without fear.
Now, most people would think there would be an epic battle between them.
However. . .
*shh*
All five of them looked up at another portal that suddenly opened between them, and a gasping and injured Sith Lord stumbled out, hastily closing the portal behind him.
He fell to his knees, coughing as his body convulsed and a string of animal organs and other objects temporarily broke free of his body before being forcibly pulled back in.
The Sith Lord gasped, feeling his body healing rapidly.
Kanis Moore took a moment to come to his senses, looking around and noticing the large number of dead Rak Ghosts lying around, especially the flaming skull holding a chain and an axe.
Around him was a pile of his work, all charred.
"I see," Maul hissed, and immediately unleashed a powerful burst of Sith lightning that struck the Knight with such force that it sent him flying.
"You," Caecilius muttered in disbelief and anger.
The Sith Lord blinked and looked at—
"Ah, yes, Caecilius," said Moore, with a vicious sneer. "Another prisoner who must die in my hands."
"You have courage in coming to face me, Sith Soul," Caecilius praised.
"Correction, I'm not a spirit anymore. After all these years, I'm still alive, breathing, flesh and blood now," Moore said, flashing a maniacal grin.
"If only you could live longer," Caecilius said, summoning two dimensional spears.
Maul gasped and waved his left hand, a pillar of energy igniting from his hand. Lifting it, he smiled as the dark orange-red glow it emitted highlighted his face. It was as if he was wielding his old lightsaber again.
“My disciples, do not take part in this battle. I will deal with him.
"But Master——"
"go!"
The Zealots reluctantly summoned a portal and escaped through it so they could return to their hideout.
Kaecilius and Moore then began to slowly circle each other as the portal closed again.
They continued to test the waters cautiously until both of them attacked simultaneously.
Their weapons collided, sparks flew, and each hoped to defeat the other.
Both sides used spells that began to destroy the outer walls of the temple. Ethereal chains tried to restrain Maul, but the ancient Sith leaped and spun through the air. The resurrected cultivator used his cloak to hover and used Force lightning to blast Kaecilius away.
Maul leaped to the distance, held out his hand, and unleashed another torrent of Sith lightning.
This time, however, his opponent was prepared.
Kaecilius spun his arms and held out his hands, and Sith lightning struck his palms.
Instead of hurting him, the lightning split into multiple branches, which formed a wall.
The lightning stopped, and Caecilius spread his hands apart, gathering the split lightning together and turning it into a crackling sphere.
He raised his arms and swung them at Moore with all his strength. Moore sneered, and his arms transformed into a more ferocious appearance and caught the lightning ball.
The Sith Lord grunted, and as he shook his head back to normal he felt his face transform into lizard-like skin.
He crushed the lightning ball in his hand and the two glared at each other.
They ran at each other, magic flaring. Both collided, knocked back and crashed into windows near them, tumbling onto Bleecker Street, shards of glass raining down on them.
Standing up from the ruins, the two soldiers shook off the glass shards on their bodies and stared at each other.
"That's interesting," said the ancient Sith.
“For me, no,” Caecilius grunted.
"All right." Then, with a gleam of madness in Moore's voice, "Once I kill you, your master will be next."
Caecilius froze at this, staring at the man who had clearly lost his mind.
"Impossible. Dormammu is unkillable.
"Who said I would kill him? I meant to take his power." Maul's madness was clear. "Once I have the power of a being like Dormammu in this universe, no, all universes will be mine. To me, I will be the greatest Dark Lord of the Sith who has ever lived."
Before the two could continue the fight, a group of unexpected people appeared.
“Hey, asshole.”
The two mystics turned and saw two men standing before them, indicating that they were there to fight.
"Mind telling us what on earth you did to mess up our city?"
"Cage, Rand, have you found the source?"
From a back alley emerged a man in a white suit reminiscent of a feline.
“Looks like it.”
Moore and Caecilius looked up and saw a woman in a leather jacket floating down from above and landing next to the three men.
“Are these the two bastards that caused all the commotion?” the woman asked.
"Yeah." The person who spoke seemed to be the youngest in the group.
He raised his fist and began to emit a yellow aura that soon covered his entire arm.
“Guys, I know we haven’t quite decided yet, but I think it’s time to show these clowns who we are.
Moore looked at them curiously. "Interesting," he muttered, and then his smile gradually widened. "Can't wait."
The African American man in the yellow shirt sighed to himself until he smiled an amused smile.
"We're the Avengers now, right, Rand?"
"Yes."
