HP Shavings Wizard
Chapter 64 Hiding something
Platform Nine and Three-Quarters was bustling with people, the sounds of wizard parents and children chatting, the hooting of owls, the hauling of suitcases, and the whistle of a crimson steam train were all mixed together.
There have always been many wizards in the UK that Dumbledore was familiar with. The train platform on the first day of school is where both the older and younger generations gather.
Mrs. Weasley, Molly, was holding her little daughter's hand and instructing four red-haired boys who were going to school at home. When she looked up, she saw an acquaintance walking through the magic wall to the platform.
Her eyes lit up and she came over with the children.
Dumbledore greeted them with a smile, and Bathilda also chatted with her good friend's niece.
Molly smiled and looked at the two children beside them, a red-haired, blue-eyed girl and a black-haired, green-eyed boy. The housewife naturally asked about the children.
"Are you also here to take your children to school?"
She looked at the two children with curiosity and friendliness, as well as the old man who was walking the children with her and who did not look British.
Bathilda stroked Alison's red hair gently, "Yes, my Alison is going to Hogwarts this year too."
When mentioned by her elders, Alison nodded politely, elegant yet distant, and she was not used to the enthusiastic middle-aged witch.
Molly enthusiastically pulled the youngest boy over and looked at him, looking a little clumsy. The boy blushed when his mother introduced him so generously in front of strangers.
"What a coincidence, my Ron is also enrolled this year."
Before the adults could continue introducing Harry, the twins noticed the lightning-shaped scar on the dark-haired boy's forehead.
One of them pointed at Harry's lightning-shaped scar and asked, "What's that?"
"Oh, goodness!" said the other twin. "You are—?"
Finally, they all asked in unison, "Harry Potter!"
After Harry admitted it, the two brothers stared at him blankly. The youngest, the little girl holding her mother's hand, also screamed and looked at the famous boy who survived with admiration.
Mrs. Weasley's attention was inevitably drawn to the shy boy.
The Weasley family was the backbone of the Order of the Phoenix. Compared to the rumors that ordinary people knew, she naturally knew more about the Potters back then, and she also had the same love and affection for this frail orphan as she would for her own child.
Alison felt a little impatient, so she gently tugged at Dumbledore's sleeve and stared at him silently, waiting to see when he would accompany her to the car.
Dumbledore noticed Alison's little action and smiled: "We should get in the car."
He said goodbye to the Weasleys, and Alison said goodbye to her father and Bathilda.
Grindelwald rubbed Alison's head and said, "Remember to write to us when you go to school."
Bathilda kissed Alison on the cheek. "Go ahead, honey."
Dumbledore and Grindelwald exchanged a look, and then Dumbledore took Alison onto the train.
Harry was taken away by the warm and friendly Weasley family.
Alison quickly found an empty box and Dumbledore followed her in.
Alison leaned back lazily in her chair, "I thought you were trying to get me to be friends with Potter again."
Dumbledore smiled helplessly: "I just hope you don't hurt him."
Alison just smiled and said nothing, nor made any promises.
This familiar smile made Dumbledore, who was observing her expression, sigh slightly.
Alison leaned on him intimately, just like a normal child of this age relying on an elder. This sense of dislocation made Dumbledore a little dazed, as if he saw his past self.
Alison really looked like him, especially when she closed her eyes and rested quietly, without Gellert's ostentatious smile and arrogance and coldness, her calm and graceful demeanor was more clearly revealed.
But at that time, he had no one to rely on.
The train is moving and the scenery outside the window is picturesque.
The two of them just sat there quietly, no one spoke.
Alison drawled lazily after a moment.
"I hope there aren't any weird people looking for toads."
Dumbledore laughed.
Alison opened her eyes. "I heard that some toads have hallucinogenic toxins on their backs, and some people become addicted to licking toads... Is there such a thing in the wizarding world?"
Dumbledore paused for a moment when asked such a fantastic and unpopular question by his daughter: "I don't know."
Alison felt that she would be stopped from studying the dark arts at this time, so she curled her lips and said, "How boring."
The old principal laughed and said, "Don't think about these nonsense, Alison."
Alison played with his long beard with interest again, and raised a wicked smile: "If I use a cutting spell..."
Dumbledore knew what she was going to say and interrupted her: "...Don't try to experiment with my beard."
Alison sighed in boredom and muttered to herself, "Okay, okay, let's talk about something else... Why do we have to take this express train that's not fast at all? It's so troublesome..."
"Last time you said I had a Horcrux, so what would you choose as a Horcrux? ... I'm just assuming, I want to see what you would choose. Something that means something to you? A luxurious antique relic? Or something that is the most insignificant?"
Dumbledore smiled and said, "That is an interesting question."
He pondered for a moment and spoke slowly: "If it were me, I think I would choose something that can represent my past."
Alison looked thoughtful and tilted her head to look at him curiously: "Like?"
Dumbledore thought for a moment and said, "Perhaps some precious books, or some precious photos."
"What about you, Alison?"
Alison's expression was both pleasant and evil: "Use stones and bury them in the desert! If possible, use water drops and throw them into the sea!"
"Or maybe we could just use Muggles to send the stone into outer space... Isn't the topic we're discussing how to hide things and what to hide so that it won't be discovered?"
Dumbledore laughed: "Well, I admit that your method is indeed difficult to detect."
"But if that day really comes, I will definitely stop you."
This method seems like a casual remark during a chat, but would a normal person list these accurately? Sometimes Alison's casual words and actions are really irritating.
Alison smiled and didn't respond.
Dumbledore sighed: "Alison, I hope you can understand that there are some things that cannot be done."
He stared into Alison's eyes, challenging her.
"If you really hid the Horcrux in the desert, I would be the first one to dig it out."
"What if we can't find it?"
"Then I will keep looking until I find it."
