HP Shavings Wizard

Chapter 38 Plan

Alison propped up her face and scraped the bottom of the ice cream cup out of boredom, letting the last bite of ice cream melt in her mouth: "...Slytherin."

The reputation of Slytherin House is not actually very good. After all, it produced Voldemort and the Death Eaters. In addition, the house advocates power, glory and pure-bloodedness. Currently, the outside world labels the students of this house as Death Eater candidates and dark wizards.

"An interesting choice, Alison." Dumbledore's expression was gentle, and no further thoughts could be seen for the time being. "Then do you know the characteristics of Slytherin House?"

Bathilda also took a bite of dessert: "Each house has its own characteristics, there is no good or bad. Little Ellie, why do you want to go to Slytherin?"

Dumbledore added: "Ultimately it is the Sorting Ceremony that determines which House you go to - although it also allows for free choice in cases where there are multiple-house features."

He paused, "But I'm curious why you chose Slytherin."

Alison smiled lazily, dangling the yew wand in her hand, observing Dumbledore's expression with interest, trying to see something.

"Ambitious, shrewd and cautious, worshipping power, and there is also the saying that there is a dark wizard... It suits me well, doesn't it?"

The old principal's expression became slightly solemn again, and his bright, sharp blue eyes looked directly into Alison's eyes.

"Alison, every house has its strengths and weaknesses. Slytherin has produced many outstanding wizards, and of course, some... controversial figures."

"What matters is how you use these qualities. Ambition and power never equal evil."

Bathilda was a little worried: "My dear, no matter which school you go to, the most important thing is to be a good wizard."

Alison looked down at the yew wand nonchalantly, and said in a gentle and meaningful tone: "Evil? I don't care about the opinions defined by others, I just think..."

Grindelwald raised his eyebrows with an interested expression.

Alison raised her eyes and stared at Dumbledore, her bright blue eyes seemed to contain deep ambition. The young wizard spoke softly, but his words were arrogant and contemptuous towards Voldemort and the Death Eaters.

"The remnants of the old era should be completely wiped out, and I will become the new king."

Facing Dumbledore's suddenly sharp gaze, she thought with interest that her remarks might be considered as a chuunibyou.

Being stared at by such a sharp gaze that could penetrate one's heart, she subconsciously looked towards Grindelwald.

Obviously, behind Alison is this old friend who escaped from prison with unknown purpose. Perhaps her words and deeds themselves also reflect Gellert's purpose.

Dumbledore noticed this, was silent for a moment, and then spoke: "Alison, no matter what the future holds, I don't want to see you go down that path. Voldemort and the Death Eaters who followed him used power to dominate and trample on others, and the act of waging war is always evil."

Alison retorted softly, her voice more childish but powerful: "They are not important, and you have never taken their power seriously. Senior Riddle is still alive only because he used some tricks to avoid death. And you are waiting to find that trick and kill him once and for all."

Dumbledore frowned slightly, but did not deny Alison's words.

Alison, or Gellert behind her, knew more about the current situation in Britain than he thought.

The red-haired little wizard chuckled, with a hint of frivolous sweetness in his words.

"I never take them seriously. You are the only opponent I recognize, Albus."

Dumbledore calmly looked at the child in front of him who was protesting like a wolf cub.

"I hope we can work together, Alison... for the greater good." He paused, his blue eyes deep and tentative. "Do you understand me?"

Alison casually twirled the ends of her long red hair with her fingers. “That’s your and Gellert’s slogan, but it’s not my idea.”

Grindelwald interrupted them with a low laugh, his voice still deep and seductive despite his age: "Perhaps we can indeed find a common goal..."

Alison was stunned for a moment, then she complained in dissatisfaction: "Gellert! Whose side are you on? We clearly agreed on this!"

Grindelwald spread his hands and showed an innocent expression: "Dear ally, of course I stand on your side. I am just trying to understand Albus's thoughts. After all, he and I are old friends."

Alison glared indignantly at her ally and old father who almost turned against her:!

Dumbledore did not interrupt them, but just observed the two of them quietly.

Alison was impulsive but restrained herself from saying anything more about their plan.

Gellert suddenly escaped from Nurmengard, taking the genius Alison with him, allowing her to use the mark of a saint, sending people to study at Hogwarts, and knowing the current situation in Britain very well, intending to get involved.

In addition, Harry was enrolled in school, and he was suddenly transferred to the Defense Against the Dark Arts class this year. Quirrell, who returned from his trip to Albania, was obviously not right. Perhaps he had a connection with Voldemort...

The situation has become more complicated.

The rain is coming and the wind is all over the building.

Dumbledore sighed deeply, his eyes showing mixed emotions, no longer able to ignore their obvious conspiracy.

"Alison, Gellert," he called softly.

He looked at Alison first, "You are still young and have a lot to learn. At Hogwarts, we not only teach you to use magic, but also teach you to control magic."

Then he turned to Grindelwald: "And you, Gellert, I thought you had learned your lesson."

After a pause, his tone became more resolute: "In short, I will keep a close eye on you and pay attention to Alison's every step in Hogwarts and your actions in the UK."

Alison didn't care about her father's warning, instead she looked at him with a smile on her face. Grindelwald also raised his lips slightly, as if he was enjoying the attention and warning from his old lover.

Dumbledore noticed this interaction and frowned slightly.

"This is not a game! Alison is about to start learning magic, and I don't want her to get involved in any dangerous plans. Please set a good example for the child! Gellert!"

Unable to bear the serious atmosphere, Bathilda could not help but change the subject dryly: "Alison, are there any classes you are interested in? Maybe I can ask about the professor."

Alison pursed her lips and smiled, obediently obeying the old lady, and looked at her father: "Albus said before that after I officially enter school, he will teach me how to use magic correctly."

Dumbledore nodded, his expression slightly relieved: "Yes, I will personally guide Alison after she officially enrolls."

Alison glanced at Grindelwald with a hint of pride.

Dumbledore has not taught in person for nearly forty years, and is only responsible for school affairs as the headmaster. This statement refers to one-on-one teaching, a closer relationship between wizards and apprentices.

Compared with ordinary professors who teach normally and answer questions, the mentor who specializes in tutoring his disciples naturally has a closer relationship with them, which is different from ordinary teachers and students.

Grindelwald fully understood his daughter's little thoughts, but he gave a subtle smile and didn't mind Alison's showing off.
