Black Naruto: Shadow Moon

Chapter 2: Consciousness Uploading

Soon, various instruments were pushed over one after another, and the staff quickly connected these instruments to my head.

The instruments hummed and ticked, as if they were conveying some message to me.

Their surfaces flicker with a faint light, giving them a mysterious and technological atmosphere.

As the instrument continued to operate, I could feel a weak electric current flowing through my scalp, which gave me a strange feeling.

One of the machines was like a giant helmet that fit tightly on my head and was connected to other equipment by countless tiny wires.

The helmet seemed to be able to read my brain waves and convert them into visual data.

Another instrument resembled a transparent sphere filled with flickering lights and intricate patterns.

This sphere seemed to be able to simulate my mental activities and display them in an intuitive way.

There are also some small sensors attached to my scalp that can monitor my heart rate, blood pressure and other physiological indicators to provide more comprehensive information for research.

"Now let me explain to you the basic situation of this experiment. After all, you have the right to know.

Regarding this consciousness uploading experiment, it is currently only in the theoretical stage and there are no successful cases yet.

More importantly, consciousness reading will cause serious damage to the brain, which means either success or death." The researcher said solemnly.

“But don’t worry too much.

We have made the latest theoretical breakthrough. We have discovered the microscopic quantum structure of the human brain. Based on this research, we can upload consciousness to a quantum computer. However, this process will put your consciousness in a quantum superposition state, which may cause your consciousness to be transmitted to other places in the universe in the process of quantum entanglement.

However, current technical theory predicts that the upload success rate is as high as 30%! Rounding it up is %."

What kind of logic is this? Rounding up is 100%! Even if it is 30%, no matter how much you round it up, it can't be 100%!

Well, since I'm going to die anyway, I might as well give it a try! Maybe this time, I can survive from the brink of death?

"As long as you are happy, I have no choice anyway, right? I'll take a chance, maybe I can still survive."

"You are quite open-minded. I hope you can survive." The researcher said in a nonchalant manner, but his eyes revealed a hint of worry and helplessness.

He knew that this experiment was extremely dangerous and that this might be the last time they met.

However, facing the upcoming challenges, he can only give encouragement and blessings to the other party.

"The mind uploading process involves opening your skull and deeply connecting to your brain.

But don't worry, this process won't be painful, as the brain doesn't have pain nerves. But please don't move around, otherwise there will be some unnecessary accidents. We can't anesthetize you either, because only when you are conscious will the possibility of uploading your consciousness be high."

"Okay, let's do the experiment quickly. My whole body is in pain now. I don't think I can hold on for a few more days under the genetic damage caused by this nuclear radiation."

A few hours later, I was on the operating table, watching all the experimental preparations being completed. I could even see my own brain through the reflection of the instrument's mirror.

It was a truly horrifying scene, but surprisingly, I didn't feel any pain.

"The experiment is ready. Are you mentally prepared?" the researcher asked with concern.

"I'm ready, let's get started"

"3 2 1"

"Good luck"

These were the last words I heard. Immediately afterwards, I felt a sharp pain in my head and my consciousness seemed to be separated from my body. Even the pain from the nuclear radiation was gradually disappearing, and was replaced by a sense of spiritual alienation.

I saw a bizarre universe, I seemed to be at the center of the infinite universe, and then my soul felt drifting aimlessly.

Finally, I found a direction, and my consciousness told me where I should go. Then I felt as if I was falling into endless darkness.

Beep, beep——————

Vital signs disappeared, consciousness reading was successful, uploading————Consciousness upload information not received

"Alas, the experiment failed again. I really hope that optimistic young man can survive. However, the consciousness reading was successful. It is correct to put the read consciousness in a quantum superposition state, but why did not capture the consciousness information? Could it be that he traveled to another world?"

"I may be too tired recently, I can think of such outrageous ideas."

------------

Li Yingyue's consciousness kept floating in the darkness, as if she had come to an endless void.

Countless fragments of memories flashed rapidly through my mind, as if I was being dragged forward by an invisible force, leaving me unable to resist.

Just when I was about to be swallowed by the endless darkness, suddenly, a dazzling light flashed, my consciousness was shaken suddenly, and the whole person seemed to be pulled out of the abyss.

Yingyue found herself in a strange world.

Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my head, as if countless sharp needles were piercing my nerves.

I couldn't help but clench my teeth, cold sweat instantly broke out on my forehead, and my vision began to blur.

Countless memory scenes echoed in his mind, like a fast-forwarded movie.

Some of those images are my own memories, and some are strange memories that do not originally belong to me.

I saw my life in my original world, my parents' faces, my friends' smiles; I also saw everything in this world - the daily life of Konoha Village, the training of ninjas, and even a few battles.

I suddenly realized that these memories were not only mine, but also the memories of the original owner of this body.

My soul traveled here, not appearing out of thin air, but occupying the body of an existing person.

The original owner of this body was a newcomer who had just started his ninja career.

"What... is going on?" Li Yingyue gritted her teeth, trying to sort out the confusion in her mind.

Yingyue knew that she had to adapt to this identity as soon as possible, otherwise she might die at any time in this dangerous world.

As his memory gradually became clearer, he learned that the original owner of this body was Uchiha Yingyue. Li Yingyue tried to calm his breathing and forced himself to calm down.

Yingyue knew that since he had occupied this body, he had to accept this identity and abide by the rules of this world.

Shadow Moon looked down at himself and saw that he was wearing a strange outfit with a small bag hanging from his waist which contained several kunai and a scroll.

Yingyue's fingers touched lightly and he actually felt a powerful energy flowing through his body - this was chakra!

Li Yingyue realized that his thoughts were in confusion, and he couldn't help but ask himself: "Am I not conducting a consciousness uploading experiment on the operating table? How did I suddenly come to this world? Is there a problem with the experiment?" This thought flashed through his mind, his heart skipped a beat, and the cold sweat on his forehead became more and more dense.

"Could this be... time travel?" Li Yingyue thought in doubt and tried to sort out her thoughts, but the memories in her mind and the perception of reality kept intertwining, leaving Yingyue at a loss as to where to start.
