HP: The Blood Prince of Hogwarts
Chapter 13 Nott's Manor
The two men's smiles froze, their bodies seemed frozen, and they looked at Olga in disbelief, as if they didn't understand what she was saying.
Olga continued cruelly: "Before, I could understand your enthusiasm and concern for your friends, but now——"
She closed her eyes.
"You have been hurting yourselves to develop this kind of candy, a candy that is completely useless except for letting me taste it. This is no longer something that can be explained as taking care of a friend. What are your intentions? What do you want to achieve by using me again?"
This doesn't make sense. The relationship between them and her has not developed to the point where it is worth it for two people to spend their time, energy and even blood just for something meaningless.
She would never believe it, no, she would never believe in goodness without purpose again.
"For immortality? Or for the powerful talents of the vampires? Don't be naive. There is no other way except to become like me and join the darkness. Give up as soon as possible, gentlemen."
Olga's words became more and more sharp, and Fred and George's faces became paler and paler, with hurt in their eyes.
"Little snake--" Fred wanted to say something bitterly.
"I can only say thank you for your kindness, but I don't have anything to give you guys. Don't waste your time on me. You'd better consult your professors instead."
Olga was completely lost in her own emotions, unable to listen to anything, and teleported back to her dorm, disappearing before their eyes.
Fred and George stood there in a daze, not understanding how things had turned out like this.
"It would be better if I could finish my sentence," Fred said self-deprecatingly, "so she knows that all this is because you like her."
George squatted down and covered his face. "I just think it's not time yet. She... has no awareness of that at all. I'm afraid she will avoid me in the future—" He paused. "But now it seems to be worse."
"I'm a little sad, George."
"Me too, Fred."
Obviously they just wanted to make her some "snacks".
Although there was blood prepared every time she went to the restaurant, she hardly ever drank it. At most she would take a sip and then put it down.
There is no taste in her world, but they also want her to experience different tastes.
"Wait, 'want to use her to achieve something again', 'you guys'," Fred thought of Olga's words, "her mood just now... was not good, did she think of something--"
George's expression changed and he suddenly rushed out, so Fred had to follow quickly.
The two stopped Harry and others who were about to go to the library in the Gryffindor common room. George asked anxiously: "Zero, you know Olga's past, right? What happened in the past?"
The three people except Zero were obviously confused.
"What did you do?" Ling's tone was a little unpleasant.
The two of them repeated what had just happened.
"You are too partial. Why don't you take better care of your dear brother?"
Ron was a little jealous, but he was only met with Hermione's cold eye roll. There was no hope.
"I have no right to tell you about Her Highness, but you just need to know that she has no ill intentions and is not targeting you. Think about it, as the future king of the blood race, she can be surrounded by family, servants, and loyal subordinates, but she will not have friends." Zero lowered his head weakly, "Her Highness used to... love to laugh."
Several people were reluctant to speak, even Ron, who was usually calm, remained silent. It must have been a very painful experience to make a person's temperament change drastically.
"I think I should have just hugged her instead of letting her get away," Fred said jokingly.
George ignored him, just said "thank you" to Zero and left.
He had no way of getting involved in the little snake princess’ past. He only hoped that she would be happy in the future.
Of course, the most important thing at the moment is to eliminate Xiaoshe’s vigilance towards everyone and resolve the misunderstandings between them.
—
Draco didn't get to wait for Olga to coax him until the Christmas holiday, so he could only return to Malfoy Manor dejectedly, not knowing how Olga planned to spend the holiday.
—
Nott Manor is located in a quiet valley in Wiltshire. It covers a large area and the walls are covered with ivy, making the manor, which should be simple and solemn, look a little more desolate.
In front of the mansion is a huge courtyard with a large sea of purple flowers, which sway gently in the breeze, making it look particularly dreamy.
Olga was lost in thought as she stared at the sea of flowers. Theodore stared at the girl's profile and slowly said, "That was my mother's favorite flower field when she was alive."
"It's really beautiful." Olga sighed, and the depression after separating from the twins yesterday finally dissipated.
"what is this flower?"
"Lavender, the flower language is - waiting for love." Theodore looked at the sea of lavender flowers, "Those are the flowers that my father and mother planted to express their love. Even if Nott Manor is neglected, the sea of flowers will never wither. My father has put a lot of thought into keeping them."
Olga looked back and said to Theodore: "Your father loves your mother very much."
"Yes."
He loved her so much that after his mother passed away, he could not even see their only son and disappeared all day long.
This time he is looking for a way to resurrect his great master. I don’t understand why these people are so convinced that the mysterious man can help them achieve eternal life.
Theodore raised the corners of his lips sarcastically when he thought of this. It was so pathetic.
"Let's go see your room first?" Theodore looked at Olga tenderly again. "The scenery around the manor is pretty good. We still have the whole vacation to enjoy it slowly."
Theodore took Olga to a bedroom on the third floor, opened the door and said, "See if there's anything you don't like?"
The layout of the room is not ostentatious, but it shows the owner's intentions everywhere.
The furniture is all in a textured walnut color, and the dressing table even has a comb and some small bottles and jars thoughtfully prepared.
Olga walked to the window and looked out, just in time to see the sea of flowers. There was no ivy on the wall next to the window, but instead there was a red flower, like a rose, with stems and leaves intertwined with the flowers. Some branches had extended to the window, as if they were about to bloom into the bedroom in the next second.
"This is a climbing rose," Theodore seemed to know what Olga was thinking. "I thought you might like it, so I asked Marcy to plant it. If you think it's an eyesore, I'll ask her to get rid of it."
The climbing rose has thin but tough branches and stems, and it climbs upwards without fear of difficulties. It is naturally thorny but extremely soft inside, just like his kitten, very contradictory and yet very attractive.
"I like it very much, thank you." Olga said softly.
She opened the window to touch the bright red flowers, but accidentally scratched her hand on the thorns.
"careful!"
Theodore's voice sounded a little anxious. He grabbed Olga's hand and wanted to see the wound. Unexpectedly, the wound healed at a speed visible to the naked eye.
He was surprised for a moment, but then he thought it made sense, and warned: "The flower stems are covered with thorns, be careful not to hurt yourself."
Neither of them noticed that Olga's blood dripped onto the delicate flowers, and the flowers bloomed more beautifully after absorbing the blood.
Olga looked back as if she sensed something and found that the flower seemed to be alive. It reached into the house and rubbed against Olga's face.
"This--" Theodore, who was always calm and composed, couldn't help but stare at the scene with wide eyes.
"It might have... come into contact with my blood. But I don't know how it could have such an effect."
Olga was also surprised. She had little chance of getting hurt, so this was a pleasant surprise.
The rose was still rubbing against Olga, and Theodore suddenly had an idea: "What would happen if your blood was used on a human?"
Olga was stunned: "Why, you want to try it?"
Theodore nodded, then shook his head: "I'm curious, but forget it. I don't want to hurt you."
Olga thought for a moment and said, "I would also like to know, but let's wait until later. Your brothers and sisters are not here. If something unexpected happens, it will be too dangerous for you."
Theodore's lips curled up slightly: "Okay."
The rose seemed to look at Theodore, then quietly approached him, and when it found that the boy did not react, it quickly touched his face, then hid behind Olga.
Olga was amused, and Theodore's smile grew wider: "Does it like me?"
"It looks like it." Olga fiddled with the branches and leaves. "You probably won't be lonely at home anymore. This little guy looks very lively."
Home? A gleam flashed in Theodore's eyes.
"My room is next to yours. You can call me anytime if you need anything. The library is on the second floor. You should have a good rest today. I will accompany you tomorrow."
Olga nodded, and Theodore let go of the kitten's hand with a little regret, walked out of the room and closed the door gentlemanly.
"Just calm down." Olga looked at the noisy little Rose with a headache, "Maybe if you're bored, you can go next door and leave me alone."
Little Rose shook her branches in dissatisfaction, trying to continue to cling to Olga, but she succeeded in getting a glare: "If you don't want to be ruthlessly destroyed, I advise you to retreat."
As if realizing that Olga was not joking, Xiao Yueji hurried to the window. Judging from the direction, she should be heading to Theodore.
Olga fell headfirst into the bed that was big enough to accommodate two or three people, and the two pairs of injured brown-green eyes appeared in her mind again.
Damn it, how could she say such a thing? These two big golden retrievers are not those shady guys from the vampire clan at all, so they don’t have any bad intentions.
Is there any way to make it up to them for taking the trouble to send a gift and being scolded? Olga was upset.
—
Draco has been in a bad mood since he returned home. Narcissa doesn't know what happened to her son who usually loves to share his school life with her. No one in the school should dare to bully Malfoy except the vampire, right?
But judging from Draco's previous letters, he should have a good relationship with that prince.
Narcissa was a little confused, but she felt that the privacy of the adolescent boy should be respected, so she asked Lucius for his opinion.
Lucius, who also had platinum blonde hair, knew when he first met Draco that he was probably having a quarrel with the little vampire princess he talked about every day, and it was probably one-sided on his part. He looked exactly the same as when he had quarreled with Narcissa before.
He is so useless. He can't even coax a girl? Is he waiting for others to coax him? Has Malfoy learned all the noble etiquette? Where is his gentlemanly manners?
Mr. Malfoy was very disappointed with Narcissa, but due to his wife's doubts, he didn't want Narcissa to worry about others every day, including his son.
Lucius pretended to speak casually while eating: "Do you need me to help you organize a Christmas party? You can invite your pure-blood classmates."
Draco, who was originally depressed, suddenly became excited after hearing this. Yes! Why didn't he think of it!
It has to be his father! I have to talk to my father more when I encounter problems in the future.
Narcissa was a little dazed when she saw Draco suddenly looked like he was injected with chicken blood. Should she take him to St. Mungo's to check his brain?
"Okay, Dad. Thank you, Dad. I love you, Dad! I'll prepare the invitations now!" The little platinum boy disappeared from the dining table in a flash, leaving Lucius with a look of disgust and Narcissa who was doubting her life.
"Don't mind him, he's just a young boy who's just beginning to fall in love."
Lucius was rude to his own son. Narcissa was surprised for a moment, but when she thought about the fact that her son's correspondence was all about the vampire prince...it made sense.
"But the vampires..." Narcissa was a little worried. After all, they were a strange race, and although they were noble, they were also full of dangers.
"Draco's friendship with that little prince may not be a bad thing for us. The mysterious man may come back at any time, and then the Malfoy family will be in an awkward situation. I don't want you and Draco to be involved in danger."
Lucius was once a Death Eater, and he knew how dangerous it was to work for that person. After the mysterious man died, the Malfoys stabbed him in the back in order to get away. What if he really came back... Lucius didn't dare to think about it anymore.
"The vampires are indeed full of unknowns, but Dumbledore is not a fool. He will not let the wizarding world fall into trouble. Since he chose to let the little vampire princess enroll in school, it means that the two must have reached some kind of consensus. For wizards, the vampires are allies. Since they are allies, making friends with them will also give us an extra way out in the future."
Narcissa understood what Lucius meant. To the Malfoy family, nothing was more important than family.
"Then I hope I can meet the mysterious little prince at the banquet."
If Draco wasn't really annoying.
—
Olga followed Theodore into the library. As expected of a family of twenty-eight pure-bloods, the size of the library was quite astonishing.
Olga felt a bit overwhelmed by this lineup. The blood clan already had enough books in their collection. She thought of the terrible ten years she had been dominated by them. She wanted to die, really.
The perverted couple, Helmo and Fortuna, required her to read and understand all the skills and heritage of the blood race for thousands of years, so much so that she felt like vomiting when she saw the book now.
Theodore noticed that Olga didn't look well, and asked worriedly, "Are you feeling unwell?"
After saying that, he rolled up his sleeves and stretched his arm to Olga's mouth: "You can drink my blood."
Olga lowered her eyes and saw a thin, white arm with slightly bulging veins, indicating that the owner of the arm was not as weak as he looked.
She smelled the familiar cedar scent again, which relieved her depressed mood a little.
"Thank you, but I just..." Olga rested her face on the arm, "I don't want to read."
