Harry Potter: Who cares about belated motherly love?

There was no response after the letter was sent, but that day suddenly came.

Even though I was feeling uneasy about staying home, it was a nice day today and the twins said they wanted to invent something in their secret base.

I remained with the dazed Percy.

It made me sad to think that Percy used to let me sit on his lap and read to me, but that wasn't the case anymore.

Ginny had taken all the books, board games, and chess records from when my brothers and I played chess. I had nothing to read and was in no mood to replay the chess games in my mind, so I just stared blankly.

At this moment, I suddenly felt a huge impact.

Although I couldn't figure out what was going on, I felt that there was a huge force from the outside world that destroyed the barrier.

While I was surprised, a large group of relatives suddenly broke into our house.

Although I have never seen them before, I can recognize them as Weasleys at a glance because they all have red hair except their spouses.

Just as I was speechless with shock, a group of women approached me.

One of them squatted down, looked me in the eye, held my hand, and asked gently:

"Are you Ronald?"

"Yes…I'm Ronald and this is my brother Percy."

I introduced Percy, but Percy was not in good condition today. His eyes were still dull. He didn't notice this group of relatives and was still confused and unresponsive.

When the gentle lady saw Percy's appearance, a frown flashed across her face, but she quickly regained her composure.

"We would like to welcome you into our family, what do you think?"

Behind her, her mother screamed hysterically and struggled wildly, but was quickly subdued and forced into silence.

Ginny watched all this in amazement.

"Isn't it just Percy? Can we come too?"

"Yes, you and the twins above? And Percy, of course, Bill and Charlie who are currently attending Hogwarts also count."

"Then please take us away. If we continue like this, Percy..."

I almost cried, the words got stuck in my throat.

The lady hugged me gently.

When I think about it, I have never been treated so gently by a woman in my life, so I was at a loss for a moment.

I may crave maternal love more than I think.

Although I always thought that I could get through it as an adult, I now find that my heart seems to be more inclined towards the age of my body. I feel like an ordinary child, full of the urge to throw myself into my mother's arms and cry.

But I quickly realized this was an opportunity to escape and I pulled myself together.

"The twins are playing in the forest out back. Can I go and get them? I'm sure they'll be happy. In the meantime, could you please look after Percy?"

The ladies said they would take care of Percy, and a red-haired man said he would come with me, so I decided to go get the twins.

As I was getting ready to go out, my mother seemed to have something to say, but she seemed to be under a spell and couldn't make a sound.

But I thought this might be the last time we met, so I said to her:

"You haven't done anything to take care of me since I was a baby, have you? It's always been Bill, Charlie and Percy who have taken care of me, not you! So, you are neither a mother nor a family member to me!"

A flash of anger crossed her face, but I no longer cared, so I turned and walked away without looking back.

I rushed out of the house laughing, with the only thing in my mind being to get the twins back as soon as possible.
