Harry Potter: Who cares about belated motherly love?

Chapter 5 Although we are poor, we have ambition

After putting the things back in the secret base, Fred and I went back to my father's warehouse and began looking for usable items one by one.

We found a foldable field table and chair set.

I had this thing in my previous life. The table and chair were connected together. Although it was wide, it could be folded into the size of a thin box, which was very convenient.

I assembled it and showed it to Fred, who was so delighted that he called George over.

Although it was a bit big, we decided to bring it into the secret base.

As we grow older, it becomes more and more inconvenient to work in the secret base, but working on the ground is too hard, so we hope to use it as a workbench in the field.

We also found a set of barbecue utensils, but we gave up because it took up too much space.

Fred said that it would save space to use magic to bake.

We also found some Muggle tents and sleeping bags. Although we will not bring them into the secret base, if Percy is the only one who needs protection in the future, we plan to use magic to strengthen the tent and live in the yard.

As for the grilling utensils, we would hide them in a place where they were easily accessible but not easily discovered by my father.

We also found some foldable chairs with fabric covers and decided to bring four of them in.

As he had more and more things to carry, Fred decided to get the secret suitcase and reorganize the storage in the warehouse.

In this way, even if those three people come back suddenly, they won’t find out what we are doing.

George was responsible for watching Percy while also keeping an eye on the surrounding situation.

We also found some Muggle storage tools and decided to put them to good use.

The organization skills I learned from my previous life of poverty came in handy! Paper items took up a lot of space, so we used Muggle binders and folders to reorganize and sort them, which made things much cleaner.

Amazingly, Fred and George actually made their own binders out of wood, with clips used to hold together the items they didn’t want to punch holes in.

We also replaced our old-fashioned hole punch and stapler with modern models.

The old and bulky tools that were used made the space very crowded.

We also got rid of some items that we kept to go with these old tools.

For those old tools that I am not familiar with, I ask about their uses one by one. If I find that modern tools are smaller and more convenient, we will replace and dispose of them.

I suggest replacing those bulging notebooks filled with all sorts of random notes with reams of loose-leaf paper found in your stationery box.

When I explained that the loose-leaf paper could be inserted into the notebook at any time, they said they would rewrite the notes at their leisure.

Fred and George pushed their pencils to the limit until they were too short to be used, and would add a stick to continue using them, but this time they really pushed them to the limit.

Since we already had enough new pencils, ballpoint pens and markers in stock, we decided to get rid of all the pens that were no longer usable.

They were very happy because they no longer had to worry about finding a pen to write with whenever they wanted to record a new idea.

After freeing up a lot of space, we moved the small bookshelves and cabinets that were collecting dust in the warehouse into the warehouse and used them to classify and store various small items, such as staples, razor blades, paper clips, etc.

We also store unused binders, loose-leaf papers, notebooks, and tools that we don’t use much on a daily basis but may need occasionally.

We also label the small items that are packed in boxes to make them easier to find.

The whole warehouse was in perfect order, and George was delighted when Fred and I put everything in order.

Because we archived the information according to research fields, it was both beautiful and easy to find, which received high praise from them.

By the way, the three guys didn't come back until the evening that day, so I made dinner.

We later chatted about the Muggle world and Fred and George were very interested in stationery.

We also tried fixing the pen with a cleaning spell so it wouldn't clog as easily.

We laughed and said it was all thanks to magic.

They seemed very interested when they learned that a glass pen was also produced in the Muggle world.

My thoughts and knowledge unconsciously lean towards the Muggle world, but we discussed that if we could combine magic, we might be able to create something new, and these new products might be able to be sold in the wizarding world.

We also talked about the future and hoped that we could open a store together.

These are all joyful future plans, in stark contrast to our current predicament, and I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time.

Maybe you've been frowning recently.

Although Percy did not participate in our conversation, he looked at us with a peaceful expression.

I haven't seen him so relaxed for a long time.

I felt a little hope that maybe everything could still be salvaged.
