Hogwarts: I am the White Lord

Chapter 407 Malfoy's Advice

"Harry, half a year is almost up. Don't forget what I promised you before last year's Quidditch World Cup final."

Listening to Sebastian's voice on the phone, Harry, who was woken up by the ringing of the magic phone, didn't react for a moment. He partying until very late last night and was still a little groggy now.

Half a year?

What did you promise?

I can't quite remember...

"Time is running out. It's up to you whether you can seize the opportunity." Sebastian hung up the phone with a sly smile on his face.

Let’s increase the intensity. The young man relaxed last night and now it’s time to keep working hard.

Of course, the fact that time was running out was just to scare Harry and give him a sense of urgency so that he wouldn't fall into a state of laziness again.

After all, this plan wouldn't work without Harry.

Hearing the sound of the call being hung up from the magic phone, Harry was completely confused. He rubbed his hair which had become more messy due to sleeping, opened his mouth and yawned loudly.

So sleepy...

The bed is so comfortable. How about taking a nap for a while and then thinking about it after waking up?

But judging from what the professor said, time is quite tight.

What is going on?

He wiped his eyes, which were wet from yawning, stared at the top of the bed curtains and began to think.

Half a year...

Is it the learning period of Occlumency?

That nightmare happened in late August last year, just before I went to watch the Quidditch World Cup final. Then Professor Swann agreed to teach me Occlumency and agreed on a deadline of six months.

Counting from the first Saturday of September last year, when the professor started teaching the first class of Occlumency, when was the half-year deadline?

Thinking of this, he suddenly sat up from the bed and began counting on his fingers.

“October, November, December… The deadline is the first Saturday in March!”

"Merlin's big pants! It's already February 2th, so there are only 25 days left."

Harry exclaimed, threw back the quilt, grabbed the clothes next to him and put them on. He was no longer sleepy at all and was only thinking about practicing the brain-blocking technique.

This is really terrible!

I actually forgot such an important thing.

The professor promised that if he could learn Occlumency within half a year, he would allow him to participate in the plan against Voldemort.

If I miss this opportunity because of my own reasons, it would be more painful than killing myself.

Fortunately, Professor Swan reminded me, otherwise I would definitely regret it for the rest of my life.

Harry opened the bed curtains and jumped out of bed. He found that the dormitory was very quiet. Everyone's bed curtains were drawn tightly. It was obvious that no one was awake yet.

Do you want to wake Ron?

After hesitating for just a moment, he gave up the idea.

Never mind. It’s still early, just past 8 o’clock. Besides, Ron can’t help me with this, so I’d better let him sleep a little longer.

Harry washed up quickly, then ran all the way to the Great Hall, ate a few bites of breakfast, and found an empty classroom to start practicing the brain-blocking technique.

"Eliminate distracting thoughts and continue to perfect the memory maze!"

For Harry today, eliminating distracting thoughts is already a piece of cake, and the remaining key lies in the memory maze.

At this point, Harry couldn't find the loophole on his own, so after lunch, he called Malfoy.

"You didn't sleep until now?" Harry was very surprised when he saw Malfoy yawning. "Aren't you hungry?"

"I had some coffee and a croissant, and that's enough to hold me together for a while. That's not a big deal, the problem is that I'm sore all over."

"Sore all over? Is this the aftereffect of swimming?" Harry teased, "You are not okay. Why are you so weak? You just swam for a while yesterday and you are like this."

"Look at me. I got up fine today and I'm full of energy! Young people should exercise more."

"Bullshit!" Malfoy raised his eyebrows. "You can't do it. You're weak! My body aches and pains have nothing to do with swimming in the Black Lake yesterday."

"Oh?" Harry raised his eyebrows and looked willing to hear more.

"Did you have a party yesterday?" Seeing Harry nod, Malfoy continued, "We also had a party and made a lot of noise in the common room."

"At the end of the day, someone just pulled out a radio and started playing The Weird Sisters. Just like that, the rave turned into a dance party."

"A ball?" Harry's ears pricked up in interest. "Like a Yule Ball?"

"Yes, but there is no special dress code. Everyone just clears out the common room and dances around in their school uniforms."

"Although we didn't wear formal attire, the atmosphere was still very lively. We danced until 2 or 3 in the morning."

"My legs are still a little sore." Malfoy sat on the chair, clenched his fists, and kept hitting his thighs.

Hearing this, a hint of envy appeared on Harry's face.

Last night, when they were partying in the Gryffindor common room, they just secretly drank some butterbeer that the twins had mail-ordered, and had some snacks, and the rest was just bragging and chatting.

Although they would occasionally jump up and down when the twins livened up the atmosphere, it was nothing like the fun that a dance party sounded like.

"According to my father, when he was in school, we Slytherins had a tradition of dancing, but after Professor Snape became the head of the school, this tradition was gradually abolished."

Malfoy beamed with joy: "When I become a prefect next year, I will definitely suggest to Professor Snape to restore the tradition of the ball. I won't say too much, but at least once a month."

"You know," he curled his lips, "things like dances are very helpful in strengthening the relationship between classmates."

"Listen to me, Harry. When you become a prefect, you can give Professor McGonagall your advice. Everyone will thank you."

Prefect...

Harry's eyes showed longing.

Considering his status as a warrior, it should be a foregone conclusion that he will become the class leader next year.

We can indeed organize some interesting activities like dance parties at that time.

"Okay, no more words," Malfoy stood up and stretched, "Didn't you ask me to practice Occlumency with you? Let's start now."

As he spoke, he raised his wand, and without giving Harry time to react, he shouted, "Legendary!"

Half a day passed, and Malfoy put away his wand: "This won't work. We can't put any pressure on each other at all. We can't find any flaws."

"This job must be done by the professor. Only he can discover our shortcomings."

"If you ask me, don't rush. Let's continue to perfect the memory maze ourselves and let the professor test it next week."

No way...

I have reasons to speed up, what should I do?

Harry scowled and began to rack his brains, thinking of a solution.

Professor Swann and Aunt Mia are not in school this weekend, and I don’t want to disturb their world of two.

"Harry," said Malfoy, "if you're really desperate, perhaps you could ask Professor Snape to give it a try. My father says that Professor Snape is an expert in Occlumency."

Professor Snape?!

This is a good idea.

Harry's eyes suddenly lit up and he made up his mind.

After dinner, I will go find Professor Snape and try.
