Gellin followed the three wizard apprentices carefully. Although they were similar in stature to him, from their clumsy movements and whispered conversations, Gellin gradually realized that they were no more mature than he was. As they walked, they looked back from time to time, as if they were on guard against something.

"Did you hear any sound?" The shortest little wizard suddenly stopped, looking uneasy. His voice trembled slightly, as if he was looking for some sense of security.

"I didn't hear it, maybe it was just the wind." Another slightly taller wizard continued to move forward, frowning with impatience. He held a wand in his hand, as if ready to cast magic at any time.

"But I clearly feel that something is following us, especially that cold breath." The short man shook his head firmly, his eyes wandering around, as if hoping to find a little comfort in the hazy woods around him.

"Your imagination is too vivid. Stop imagining that." The tall man tried to comfort him. "We are trained wizard apprentices. We must not be defeated by imaginary fears."

"Yes, Thor, you think too much." The third apprentice was a gentle-looking girl. She smiled slightly and gave the short man an encouraging look. "We must concentrate in order to pass the trial successfully."

"Trial..." Thor muttered to himself. Although the fear in his eyes had not yet dissipated, it was slightly relieved by the girl's words. He straightened his back slightly, as if to encourage himself.

Gellin watched quietly from a distance and couldn't help thinking to himself that the dynamics and interpersonal relationships among these apprentices were obvious. Although Thor was the youngest, he was the most emotionally sensitive one; the tall apprentice always seemed deep and a little self-centered, while the girl gave support and encouragement to the others. This strange team combination made Gellin feel that he might be able to learn something from them.

Continuing along the path, the apprentices gradually entered the depths of the dense forest. The trees were tall, and the dense branches and leaves blocked the sky. The surrounding light was dim, and the dead leaves underfoot rustled. Gerlin instinctively slowed down his pace, fearing that any noise would be discovered by them.

"Hurry, look! There's an altar over there!" The girl suddenly pointed forward, her tone full of excitement.

The apprentices seemed to be attracted by this discovery and quickened their pace. Gerlin followed them curiously, with a wary but expectant heart.

The altar was located in the middle of an open space, surrounded by thick stone pillars, as if hiding some ancient ritual. The strong magical atmosphere filled the air, causing Gerlin to frown involuntarily.

"What is this place?" Thor approached the altar cautiously, the wand in his hand emitting a faint light, like a firefly flying at night.

"I've heard of it, but I don't dare to explore it in depth," the tall man frowned and replied, "It is said that this place is a forbidden place, and wizards often conduct dangerous experiments here."

"Danger?" The girl's eyes flickered, as if she was full of curiosity about the unknown. "Shouldn't we follow the local customs? We're just taking a look, right?"

"Okay, but we have to be careful and stay alert." His voice revealed a hint of helplessness, but he didn't want to dampen the girl's enthusiasm.

Garlin quietly reviewed these words behind the tree, with a vague sense of uneasiness in his heart. He followed the team to find out what they were going to do.

"Let's start right away. The Soul Stone should be on this altar." The tall apprentice suddenly made a decision, which made Gerlin's heart tighten.

"But we don't have the summoning spell," Thor said uneasily.

"I remember the elders taught us some basic spells. As long as I'm careful, I can give it a try." The girl took a slight breath, as if giving herself courage, and stepped forward.

Gerlin moved closer, and an impulse rose in his heart to remind them. But the dense thorns separated him from them, and the words in his heart turned into silent anxiety.

There was fear in Gerlin's eyes. He could sense the strong fluctuations of the mysterious energy. The altar was obviously more dangerous than it looked. Although he wanted to save them, their spirits had been drawn into it.

"Stop! Don't recite anymore!" he shouted, his voice echoing in the deep forest but sounding extremely faint in their ears.

"Nothing is wrong, we are almost there!" The tall apprentice was somewhat proud, his eyes were firm. But even so, Gerling could still see his hands trembling slightly.

The green light became stronger and stronger, and suddenly a cold wind blew the girl's long hair into a flutter. All this made Gerling's heart ring with alarm. He took a deep breath, as if he had made some important decision.

"Go!" Gerlin's voice was no longer suppressed, although he did not want to reveal his whereabouts. He rushed towards the altar, determined to stop the impending disaster.

"Who's there?" The tall apprentice turned around and unexpectedly saw Gerlin, with a flash of surprise and anger in his eyes, "Who are you? Why are you here?"

"My name is Gerlin, and I'm not an enemy! You must stop this summoning!" He was fearless while paying attention to the movements of the altar, trying to seize time.

"This is our business, what does it have to do with you?" Thor shouted angrily, but he could not hide the fear on his face.

"This altar is not safe, you must not go on! There are countless dark energies hidden inside!" Gerlin said in a hurried tone, expressing his fear bluntly.

These words resonated with the girl, confusion flashed in her eyes, "Are you...are you telling the truth?"

"Think about it, where does the coldness here come from? If you continue to cast spells, you may release uncontrollable power!" Gerlin explained more firmly while buying time.

The tall man was still skeptical, but he slowly put away his wand. The roar of the wind became clearer and clearer, as if it would break out at any time. "We...we must fight back quickly."

"Counterattack?" Gellin was quick-witted and used his fearless emotions to control the situation. "We need to find a way to seal it first."

"But we haven't prepared such a spell, so what can you do?" There was a glimmer of hope in the girl's eyes.

"I... am just a Gellin, I don't have any useful magic." He said honestly, but his heart was surging like a tide, looking for the simplest way, "But we can collectively seal it with a force, we must work together to resist."
